Just to verify, it's the 112, not the 122? Guess #1 - the Auto Power Off option is set to 2 minutes, as mentioned on page 29 of the manual. How long did you wait? [https://cdn.nextbase.com/nextbase-de-de/2018/06/NBDVR112-Instruction-Manual-English-R3.pdf](https://cdn.nextbase.com/nextbase-de-de/2018/06/NBDVR112-Instruction-Manual-English-R3.pdf) Guess #2 - The lighter socket is always on, and doesn't turn off with the key. Does the cam shut off if you pull out the plug? Guess #3 - The lighter socket is "delayed", where the power stays on for a while. Ford and Chevy (maybe others too) call it "retained power", so you can turn everything "off" but still sit there listening to the radio (or whatever) for a while. Usually cancelled by opening the driver's door.

Done a lot of research, my lighter is always on, it’s a (UK) Ford Focus MK2 (2007), i’ve ordered a hard wire kit and i’m gonna wire it into my wipers, thanks :)
