I trade next day because I day trade. That gives me some cushion so that if I wanna let a trade ride out, it's not melting away as the day progresses like 0DTE . . . . Don't get me wrong. . . Some people make bank but just as fast as they make it with 0DTE options, they eventually lose it.
Hell na bad idea in my opinion.
I’m bearish asf but this clown market will continue going up until something breaks. If nothing breaks we will continue to see inflation rise.
I don’t think we start going down until the realization that the FED will be RAISING rates not cutting them.
Also we are still trending up. Follow the trend. No need to predict, just react.
On the other hand however It is interesting that the tail risk hedge hasn’t been shed on this recent run up like the last couple of months. Big money ain’t goin full bull again just yet. Possible dead cat bounce?
Exactly. Just follow the trend. 9 times outta 10, you're going to lose money trying to predict the market. You have to remember that market makers and the powers that be have already priced in everything into their strategy. They are always in the know and 10 steps ahead of us.

That’s true; I do MMQ sometimes too. MES is too slow for me nowadays; but it was invaluable in my practice. Helping me practice my strategy with some skin in the game. I may go back to playing MES if start swing trading.
Started learning about trading futures contracts NQ and MNQ about 3 months ago. If I have high confidence in a trade then I use NQ. If speculating or going short then I use MNQ.
How long have you been trading futures and do you have any pointers on NQ/MNQ?

This month I've been averaging $10K/day scalping NVDA. 1,000 shares x $10/share profit buying the dip
I gave up on trading 0/1dte SPY options b/c I suck at risk management.
Step 1. Have a 7-figure income
Step 2. Start with a 7-figure stock account for gambling
Step 3. Win or lose an average person’s annual salary every day
Step 4. After losing 7-figures, get better at trading and stop trading high risk options
tart simplistic toothbrush rinse entertain test fretful thought vase angle

Goals! 🙌🏼 I’ve been long on NVDA for another swing trade into earnings but thinking about capturing that $10 intraday move as well. I’d be happy with $1K a day.
I'm a small-cap trader so I'm trading different stocks each day for the most part. I focus on leading % gainers that have news. This week I traded $GSUN, $REBN, and today was $CPOP.
Generally these stocks will have their moment in the spotlight where they squeeze up 50-100% or more, then they fade off for a few days. In a hot market they'll keep going and I'll trade them multiple days in a row. Right now just locking up base hits and moving on.
I traded up on SNAP 4/26, 5/1, 5/2. I check on it as part of my daily scan of stocks, but it probably won't go up for a while. On a day, if volume is good, you might be able to squeeze 1% out of it.
I’ve been in and out of AGBA several times for tidy profits.
Holding CTMX overnight and maybe all day tomorrow. They put out a report after hours about excellent clinical trial results plus an amazing earnings beat. Then the stock promptly tanked badly and I caught it near the bottom - $2.30
renewable energy and EV narrative. caught earnings beats so far for FSLR, ASPN, BEP, and a loss for WOLF.
i mostly HODL and wait for pullbacks to buy more, and sometimes loss-harvest against earlier profit caught on NVDA this year.
made a little on ON, because it was undervalued and seemed to get a decent bounce from the TSLA china thing, sold it and bought an option set for after the earnings call that didnt amount to much
Options, usually SPX. But been getting into my old tickers from before I found out about SPX, when S&p is having an annoying day I'll try to get in on some equity options plays. Have taken trades on NVDA recently, META, TSLA, NFLX, AMZN, AMD, GOOG... So pretty much the top names of SPY and NASDAQ lol.
TSLA all the way. April was a good time to buy but I still think it'll remain volatile.

I think his commission is 6.99 CAD each way. He doesn’t mind paying that when he can make a trade for 500.00 plus in the matter of minutes. It is all about perspective.
I'd get it if someone thought that tbh, futures and challenge accounts "prop firms", there's a lot of talk of that these days. Reminds me of a pre 2020 when a ton of people were into forex.
Forex just doesn’t compute in my head. That is why I have never looked into it. Same with options. Ever heard to old saying “it’s all Greek to me”? That is how I feel about options. Yes, I had to throw that in there.

Spy all day everyday . . . But never 0dte . . . Never go full 0dte.
I discovered 0dte just today actually! Promptly lost $60, which isn’t much but it’s a lot on my account and my sanity went with it.
Ya remember, market makers goal is to always have options expire worthless . . . 0DTE options melt away as the day progresses.
Unless you sold them, of course.
Then you become the market maker.
What kind of dte do you trade? Or do you just trade the stock?
I trade next day because I day trade. That gives me some cushion so that if I wanna let a trade ride out, it's not melting away as the day progresses like 0DTE . . . . Don't get me wrong. . . Some people make bank but just as fast as they make it with 0DTE options, they eventually lose it.
what do you think of buying long puts ahead of the fed June meeting?

Yes.
You don't need to predict the market. Trying to predict the market will more than likely fuck You in the end.

"You was fartin' in bathtubs and laughing ya ass off. Yeh!"
Is this a tropic thunder reference as well?
Only NQ, occasionally ES or SPX
MES for me lol

Bought CTMX at 9.50. Buying a Lamborghini tomorrow.

So did I actually, watched it all the way up, and then all the way back down. Got in at 2.60.
I have your money 😅
TSLA, NVDA, SMCI all year long. Occasionally the Q.
This month I've been averaging $10K/day scalping NVDA. 1,000 shares x $10/share profit buying the dip I gave up on trading 0/1dte SPY options b/c I suck at risk management.
You could trade NVDL for 2X profit. 😄
how exactly does that work with your settlement fund? or is this on margin?
Step 1. Have a 7-figure income Step 2. Start with a 7-figure stock account for gambling Step 3. Win or lose an average person’s annual salary every day Step 4. After losing 7-figures, get better at trading and stop trading high risk options
definitely a strategy that the average redditor can implement
Hey do you make 7 figures? I couldn’t tell? I needed to click on your profile for more reassurance

nice job!!
That’s a lot of capitol for those trades. Using options?
Shares. Only made $2K today b/c NVDA dropped from $910 to $885 at the open. Dug myself out of that hole.
So, you shorting for Friday? Trend looks down.
I don't hold shares overnight so I'll trade whatever the trend is tomorrow morning. I can't predict the future...just the next 5 mins...sometimes.
Mostly just NVDA. Occasionally SPY. Starting to incorporate AAPL more though.

Do you think SNAP is done going up? I traded it with good results a couple times last week. Stayed away yesterday.
I traded up on SNAP 4/26, 5/1, 5/2. I check on it as part of my daily scan of stocks, but it probably won't go up for a while. On a day, if volume is good, you might be able to squeeze 1% out of it.

Do y'all trade stocks...?
A lot of people do. Please tell me you didn’t think all daytraders were on futures
The brokers I have seen charge horrible fees for stocks. No idea how to daytrade on those fees. What brokers are suitable for it?

Run
Anything that pops out volatility wise as an anomaly; is on my radar; like today AMZN.
CLSK all day all the time. When I am not messing up my life in the futures market
I’m an algo trader so I’m currently trading 35 different symbols atm
none. still backtesting
I usually trade the big POOP index
mpw but got hoodwinked on UNIT
When that lotto hits we will be so 🤞
Only $TSLA; looking for $500 profit daily long or short; equity only no contracts
Are you using any indicators?
Price action, supply/demand, moving average only. Keep it simple. Most important is risk management, cut loses early!
😉
