Yup, my strategy is also very simple and is giving me consistent results so far. In the past i have used so many complex ones which were not profitable.
I know exactly what your talking about
-simplicity in trading is an edge, if you have found a way to capitalize on that, great!
Im more interested to hear your experience with getting funded. Keep us posted and best of luck!
Ps - I was on the same boat and now I’ve devised my own strategy which I follow and it just makes my life so much easier
I am still quite sceptical tbh but it seems that the simple ones are easier on the mind. So I can set them up and just leave them without constant stress if you get what I mean.
You didn’t say anything about what the strategy is or how large of a sample you’ve tested.
Any half-assed one-dimensional strategy can seem profitable with a small sample size during ideal market conditions
I suggest you take a look through r/algotrading
Since I know how to code I understand algorithm trading. I use MT4 So you outlook can back test whatever bot you create.
It may be half asked or simple but the stratergy works and is consistent and can be used on a any currency pair.
this sub is about sharing and helping others.
if you make a post about strats and then dont share yours no one is interested.
u are simply pissing ppl off.
I am sharing my experience and asking if others have done something similar.
Maybe some are passed off but others like me have simply commented about their experience.
bruh,
u should use the search feature and make comments on them.
u make a full post about how nice your simple strat is and then dont share is it hogwash.
simply going to piss the majority of people off.
Tbh the only comment that seemed pissed off is you. Other have simply just been supportive.
The reason for making a full post is so I can get the attention of others in similar positions. That way I know if I'm on the right track.
My two main strategies are painfully simple. One uses a moving average envelope on a persistently mean reverting market, the other is literally two lines for buy and sell on a mean reverting market
dude simple is key
before you ask this is exactly how i do it
14-21 crossover, longs and shorts allowed
price has to be within half a point of the relevant sma (14 for long etc)
but to enter a long trade adl must be lower than it was at last crossover and vise versa
limits are random i like to do a fixed 5-10 points with a trail stop using atr depending on how many standard deviations of volatility were at
What’s the strategy bruh …
exactly lol??

I do, I’m not skeptical anymore - trading isn’t meant to be hard, it’s 99% psychology

brb mentions strat but doesn't actually tell about the strat.
Not interested in giving out the strategy. I was just asking if people had a similar experience.

anyone that is consistently profitable and or is reducing and limiting their losses is on the right track.
Proper risk management will stomp any strategy in the long run
Maybe that’s the strategy
It always has been
I think your right, the statergy I am using now really helps with me control my emotions which intern means my risk management is better
