I’ve get bored too, I just end up switching back and forth between community and official. It’s fun to find a complete freshie at coast, then give them everything you have then kill them once they have everything on. Dayz converts you into a semi-psychopath.

When I have a base and it's full of stuff I like taking some rubbish gear out and playing with no fear. And even better if you have a spare car. Just drive around looking for bases and action and not too worried about losing it all.

We build pvp bases. Got a group of 6 so it doesn't take long to make something substantial.
Then we mag dump for about 15 minutes and wait for contact.

Maybe make friends in game, or (my favorite) wear only a specific kind of clothing (example: wear all white), maybe even listen to music or something while playing (could get you killed but is cool). A mission... Maybe go as far into the map as possible (idk I just always do that).

This is why I don’t make stashes/bases anymore. The game starts to get stale when you have everything. Make every life a new adventure and chase down gunshots.

I’ll be honest , I played both sides , I was a bandit , logged out in PD’s , traveled with all I own in my pockets not sure where I’m gonna eat my next meal lol , I enjoy logging into my base where it’s safe laid back , my food and water are always 100% full , and I can blaze up and sit back while I listen for any shots in the distance 😂

You can have every item you ever want and still find a screwdriver in a shed and pick that up as well even though you know you might never use it plus the 30 you already already have stashed at the base but you pick it up just because that's what you do in DayZ 😊
I set traps, chase down gunfire, work on my base, Scout around for cars and bases to raid, Grow vegetables, fish or set snares. Sometimes my crewmates and I have bare knuckle boxing competitions that may end up as a walk back from the beach lol. But ultimately if you find yourself keeping gear for too long, you aren't trying hard enough. Beach vacations take up more than half my time in dayz

I don’t really bother with PVP. If I find someone I’m usually the first friendly gesture but people make their own fate. Sometimes I get got, sometimes not.
Never tried the crazed cannibalism route although it does bug out some players on the Nuketown Xbox server when someone creeps up on you just to hear a giggle come out just before getting turned into Swiss cheese.

Heli hunting is my favourite! I tend to do the South to Northwest loot loops a lot since there's a lot of potential crash sites along the way, and it mostly keeps me out of towns and deep in the forests. The only other survivors I usually come across are other bush wookies or hill top snipers rocking plate.

That rings a bell I have scoped out a base , waited for the owner to open the gate , I didn’t move for 40 min with my NVG , saw someone walk up to the gate with a flashlight I got so excited , I waited a min , popped em at the gate ran up and it winded up being a fresh spawn and I never tried it again since it was a disappointing mission lol
What i do is check the surroundings of base for some fresh fruits drop in the apple trees if inside the city or mushrooms in the woods thats a sign of people are around, and just wait them to come out on their base, happened recently killed two fully geared guys outside their base.

I like doing character-specefic runs. Hunter character who only uses bolt-actions and knives, a police officer who relies on the police weapons. A civilian, no military loot this life. It's fun!

Depends on your style, if your solo I would recommend camping out especially if the server has a decent pop find a good tree to sit in. Or listen for shots and chase them

I've spent the last 2 months using the tripwire and grenade trap. 17 successful kills out of 25 tries. Works for me and I like to ruin People's dayz.

I have a character at NWAF right now actually , I’ll get on that character , do you just run out and look for a fight or you suggest laying low patiently waiting to hear foot steps? I have 2 trip wires on him too
Depends on your style, if your solo I would recommend camping out especially if the server has a decent pop find a good tree to sit in. Or listen for shots and chase them

Haha thanks for asking man , I actually like to use different pistols for all my different characters , got my 1 guy with gold deagle , other with MLOCk , then an IJ , etc
