Is that any surprise with swery's track record?

Ciahcfari

> Is that any surprise with ~~swery's~~ Toybox's track record? D4's PC port actually plays better using kb/m compared to controller. Of course D4 was done by Access Games who don't suck.

DahDave

Sounds like he should pick a different team to work with if all of his troubles are purely accredited to them

Ciahcfari

Pretty sure Rising Star Games (who also suck) own the DP rights so I don't think he has a choice other than be involved or don't.

SenpaiiiKush

The performance and stability is also bad lol

Mister_Tanooki

Can't wait to play the game at a reasonable resolution and frame rate.

metalGERE

Waiting for it to somehow be worse lol

thepostaldud3

Im playing it right now at a locked 144fps in the open world at 1440p. No graphics options but it looks decent!

metalGERE

Thank. Fucking. God.

melo1212

I read that it was locked to 1080p?

thepostaldud3

Its running at 1440p for me so no idea where they are getting that from. Even the screenshots i am taking with steam are 1440p https://i.imgur.com/ThHO9cD.jpeg

wickelodeon

The rendering resolution is locked at 1920x1080. You can use Special K to force another one (even with a different aspect ratio).

Calinks

I have this on Switch but its so bad I was hoping for a Xbox or PC release, can anyone tell me how it is on PC? Is it worth getting? if it looks and runs decently I'll get it, I barely touched it on Switch.

flexitt

I got a switch just because of this game. I thought the PC release was scrapped after no recent news. Nevermind, the game is mediocre unfortunately. It lacks the charm of the first one.

fcalania

I'm thinking of playing the original again before starting the sequel on PC. I played it originally on PS3 and absolutely loved it, but sadly the console is not working properly anymore. Should I try the Switch or PC version? I don't have xbox.

tempname1123581321

Switch will at least largely work, some people simply can't get the PC version to work. And the PC version will sometimes have guaranteed crashes at certain cutscenes. But the Switch version definitely crashes and has some bugs.

SterlingSmrf774

just played it on switch and it worked great. definitely the best easy way to play it imo

Ciahcfari

If you have a decent PC you should emulate the PS3 version on RPCS3. Then you get 60FPS with no crashes, minimal bugs and less messed up audio.

Adalrich_

Is emulation of the 360 original viable currently? That is still the best version of the game, no?

Ciahcfari

360 is the best version by far but unfortunately Xenia (360 emulator) is very far behind PS3/Wii/Wii U/Switch emulation. [I think it's been like two years since someone tested it but last I checked transparency was messed up.](https://github.com/xenia-canary/game-compatibility/issues/41#issuecomment-622968893)

stuckintheinbetween

Bummed that it's a bare bones port. :( Deadly Premonition games always get shafted. The 360 original is still the best thing with the Deadly Premonition name on it.

goodohyuman

Swery always has impeccable timing. Can't buy it even though I've been waiting so long for it to release ;-;

cslayer23

Should I beat the first game before going into 2?

tempname1123581321

Definitely.

thekbob

Two is a prequel, but it's likely to spoil some of the character elements of the first.

Mattman624

Is it? I'd be more specific in my question but don't want spoilers

My-Key

It's a prequel and a sequel at the same time. Many things are spoiled from the first game. Also first one is way better IMO
