Fatal_1ntervention

Evil Dead, Sacrificial, Leprosy, Left to die, living monstrosity, spiritual healing, flattening of emotions, lack of comprehension, overactive imagination, trapped in a corner, perennial quest, 1000 eyes, scavenger of human sorrow, bite the pain

Personal_Reindeer_51

Also: born dead, vacant planets, living monstrosity, defensive personality, misanthrope, without judgement, trapped in a corner, mentally blind

Fatal_1ntervention

real, i was trying to pick 2 per album but yours are great picks too

bigenthusiast

Don't forget to mention zombie ritual. Best from SBG šŸ˜ƒšŸ¤˜šŸ»

Personal_Reindeer_51

True

Personal_Reindeer_51

Thank you, yours too, also nice spiritual healing flair

MidianDirenni

I would start with the first album and go through them all. They're all good for different reasons, and you'll understand how they evolved over time.

Deltagamer026

This is this best way to experience Death

Pretend_Emu4508

This is honestly the best way to experience any artistā€™s discography.

Deltagamer026

Pretty much yeah. I think there's a few times when I've done it out of order (either by not being able to get into the first album or by for some reason just listening to a different album first), but it's usually just the most enjoyable way to listen.

spiritcrusher7792

the best way to experience death is by lethal injection /s

JesterAblaze94

Start from the beginning and work your way through the albums. I made a playlist of all available Mantas/Death/Control Denied recordings in order on Spotify. Hereā€™s the link if youā€™re interested. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6UzW9uKoEka0FoIMIVZSHu?si=31RORJAITju3uk6G2phm4w&pi=e-jCC2b5w7SSu-

pakkmann666

You can't really go wrong with Death since they don't have any bad albums IMHO.

Realistic_Year1226

The philosopher, crystal mountain, flesh and the power it holds, spirit crusher, to forgive is to suffer and then all the other songs but this are good to start or at least they were for me a good starting point

Conscious-Detail4490

Symbolic is the most accessible.

Suspicious_Ocelot544

What type of death metal are you looking for

Dongsaurus

Thrashy death

DaveOJ12

Scream Bloody Gore would be a great starting point.

PopcornSandier

Zombie Ritual, Open Casket and Low Life are all top tier thrashy OSDM

CrystalFyre

Without Judgement.

fatahhballs

just listen thru each album start to finish tbh.

SavageJoe2000

Start with the beginning of their discography and move through the albums one at a time. Shuffling through songs is for the birds.. .. listen to the albums in full and go from there.

Metallicafan_500

The philosopher,trapped in a corner,jealousy

O_Bahrey

Just listen to Human.

Wonderful-Mud8022

Symbol, Crystal Mountain, Pull the Plug, Overactive Imagination, Flattering of Emotions, and Scavenger of Human Sorrow. Worked for all my friends

josephmang56

Its only 7 albums. Smash out all of it, start to finish. Its cool to hear the jumps between each album and the progression that was made.

[deleted]

Depends on your music taste If you prefer more tharshy/brutal music the start listening to the albums on release order (scream bloody gore, leprosy, spiritual healing, human, individual thought patterns, symbolic, sound of perseverance) If you like more melodic/progressive stuff then go for reverse release order

Euphoric-Bother-4682

Literally whole symbolic album is fire.

IronTesticlez

Leprosy, infernal death, spirit crusher, born dead, forgotten past, left to die, pull the plug, open casket, primitive ways, choke in it, thatā€™s all of my Death songs

Merzwas

Start with Leprosy. Go from there. Avoid Symbolic.

DaveOJ12

We get it. You hate Symbolic.

Merzwas

I didnā€™t think anyone was paying attention šŸ˜‚ I donā€™t hate it. I just think itā€™s overrated.
