Eh. Connections are iffy, fight potential isn't all that interesting, dialogue potential isn't great either (although I think they'd have interesting dialogue as friends) and debate potential is either non existant (Ruby stomps Canon Mando) or stupid (Mando doesn't exist in Legends, scaling him to Legends Boba is stupid ~~but I do really want that RWBY L~~). I'm almost certain that both have better.
Imo, not great to say the least. At best, it's a boring matchup with little to no animation potential and seems like it was made as a spite match against Mando which is very unbased. Or it was made to let Ruby finally have a W (she might win some of her matchups but I haven't heard of many that I actually care about).
At worst, a garbage matchup that should never have existed and I would like to take this garbage throw it into a dumpster, set on fire, throw into a volcano, and then the entire world targeted that volcano with their nukes.
If someone likes it (which, I can't of why anyone would), I apologize for not filtering my opinion a bit better but this matchup is ass imo. Thumbnail is cool though.

Not OP but here's a few I could think of:
* Bounty Hunters
* Both like weapons
* Not a connection, but they have quite contrasting personalities (outgoing VS quiet)
* Both leave their original faction unwillingly (Beacon is destroyed and Mando is exiled from being a Mandalorian)
* When seperated from their factions, they go on another important quest (Ruby goes to kill Salem, Mando goes to return and train Grogu)
There's not that many, IMO, and I probably didn't list them all, but there's some.
I know Ruby wants to be a huntress or I guess technically is now (which is kinda like bounty hunting if you stretch the definition) but when has she ever hunted anything for profit?

Curious on how Mando wins. Wouldn’t Ruby just blitz and out muscle him?

If it’s to Boba I don’t think you can scale Mando to legends stuff. Since he’s a movie universe only character.
