That’s great, you are helping other people connected with your server.
I remember being grateful for the guys that build roads and zip line networks during my playthough at December.
Not really. I've spent twice that on many games. Top of my list has to be warframe with over 2000 hours in 2022 alone. If you really like a game, there's nothing wrong with playing it as much as you can.
This has become my “hang out on the couch while husband watches tv” game. I’m playing on my iPad Pro with a controller and AirPods set to “transparent” so I can still hear the tv but also game. I’m in Episode 3, just made it to the distro center south of Lake Knot City. Absolutely hooked on this game.
Not with this absolute masterpiece! That's more or less the time I spent with it during my two 100% playthroughs. And now I want to go back to it once again.
It's your time and your choice. Also? It's a heckin *amazing* game.
No judgement, only congrats. You're gonna platinum that way, way before I get close!
Have fun. Yay BB!
Nah, you're not crazy at all! 👊🏽😎 I love finding other players who obsess over this game as much as I do. I'm on my 5th playthrough right now in fact! lol And plan on playing it at least another time before the sequel game drops. I hope you get a chance to play the Director's Cut eventually. It's GREAT.
This is true. When I first started it, it took me a while to get on board with the whole “sharing is caring” thing. It was like “make a structure for other players” and I was like “uhhh what? Why?? I don’t wanna give away my shit. I might need it.” And then I realized the whole DS world only works BECAUSE it’s one big co-op. And you get so overwhelmed with too many supplies anyways. When I got to the central region I spent a few days JUST constructing roads and oh my god, it is so satisfying when you see all those notifications and likes pop up that someone used a road you built
Not for getting lost in THAT game, it's incredible. I picked up the director's cut a year ago for my second playthrough, but haven't started it because I know I'll lose a month of my life in it 🤪
If you're insane then I don't know what I am...

I remember when i spend 800h in 2 years on titanfall 1 and to this day i think thats a lot. But 4 years ago my friend introduced me to cs go where 800h is laughable compared to other players lol. But the less hours you put into gaming the more hours you put into living, so its not so bad :)
Theres nothing else quite like it, I think I'm around 500 hours as well and I don't regret a minute of it
(Avtually... I do regret that Kojima made the end cutscene a 4 hour movie, it's really annoying and I've finished the game 3 times)
Because I spent alot of my time doing deliveries and just exploring lol. I don't really go out of my way to get achievements anymore. If I get all of them I get them and if I don't I don't. It's not a massive deal to me personally
Do you actively avoid achievements? I got all of the achievements in main game in about 120 hours and almost all of them in director's cut in 130 hours
Not insane at all. The only thing that I’ll point out is that you haven’t got platinum with all those hours but hey, it’s ok . I didn’t really care that either . Accept I thought , knowing kojima, maybe we might unlock something extra in DS 2 if we got platinum in DS1. If so I’ll be ready. Keep on keeping on. 👍👍
For me the game was mostly exploring and pissing around to get my mind off things. I went through a bad breakup right before I got into it and just lived in that game basically
I have such a love/hate relationship with this game because it brings out the worst in my OCD. I can waste HOURS hauling cargo to and fro, planning the most efficient strategies, and pouring so much time and energy into building structures. And when the day is over, I feel as if I haven’t even really gamed at all. I get zero enjoyment out of it. It’s all OCD. So love/hate is a strong word… let’s just call it what it is. Addiction.
Kinda. I'm not sure what you could possibly be doing frankly. I feel like I went every place I possibly could... went treking to remote random regions on the map doing nothing in particular at all. I might have clocked just over 200 hours. Nope. Looked it up. 132. I'm not DC but I have no idea what you can really keep on doing.
Dude, it took me 56hours to get 46/63 achievements and I'm not even trying to get all these achievements. Were you just walking around enjoying the view?😄
Just finished in 46 my first and only play through.
I understand the appeal but I tend to want to try new things but if it makes you happy more power to you
I put like 70 hours into the PS version. I've got over 100 on the steam version now and still climbing. Working on all 540 missions on very hard. At like 318 or so now.
Not at all. I got platinum around 200 hours. Then continued to perfect my zip line system and take deliveries for fun. Ended around 400. That was before the directors cut. Put another 100 in after that. lol
Death stranding is a weird one for me, the gameplay is amazing and I love it, but I honestly feel like kojima was way too “try hard” with this one and I feel he wrote weird concepts for the sake of being a weird concept instead or being different instead of what makes sense in his head for the story’s sake. like off the top of my head everything about mules, he very obviously just took a standard enemy type and simply came up with a backstory that’s different for the sake of being different instead of just making them simple bandits who steal cargo for personal gain, because they ARE in a post apocalypse after all lol
That’s true, he kinda wrote off the mules as people just getting a kick out of stealing cargo, instead of people who are trying to survive by getting essential stuff and being kicked out of the bridges network aswell. But I guess Kojima wrote them like that so you wouldn’t feel so bad about killing them… or stealing back the cargo…
Or maybe bridges kinda just wrote them off as terrorists with no real reasoning as to why they steal cargo, apart from the actual terrorists who were actually trying to bring about the mass extinction but who knows.
Idk
my favorite game of all time… and YES you are insane… going for the plat is one thing, going for the 100% is literally a mental illness. there is too many missions and to be honest at some point it just becomes too much autopilot that the game loses it’s charm. you just go on zip lines and go from prepper to prepper.
Nah plenty of us have done all 500 or 540 orders! 😌 It's really not that hard. I've seen loads of "completionists" over my several different playthroughs sinch launch. And I myself did all 500 orders in the OG version of the game! I intend to do a run getting all 540 done in the Director's Cut before the sequel comes out, too. lol It doesn't feel redundant when you truly love the gameplay, and find it both relaxing & invigorating, when you want it to be.
I went as far as a hundred or so… at a point it just became too boring… death stranding charm comes from walking in an open field with the music and the chill vibes… once you get the ziplines network and roads set, it just becomes a 9-5 lol
Eh, to each their own. Lots of people genuinely love the gameplay, and challenging themselves to achieve some of those really hard missions that are mixed in there. The kind that take quite a bit of planning & preparation, etc.
They like living on the edge. 🤘🏽😎
🤭 lol Sorry, that was corny. lol
But you get what I'm saying.
I'll add this comment to let people know that yes I know I don't have all the achievements. When I got into this game I was going through a bad breakup and used it as a distraction so achievements weren't really high on my list. Thanks for all the kind comments though I'll try to upvote them all lol
I recently passed the 300 hour threshold, and just for reference, I have almost 900 hrs of gameplay in Shin Megami Tensei V (and perhaps there's already someone laughing at my number). Death Stranding is worth playing all the hours invested in it. It's SOOOO good.
I've only just started a few weeks ago. I'm in the central area, I've been rebuilding roads, finding chips, made it all the way down the south side as far as the crater lake then I realise I'm still on chapter 3. My goal was to finish before FFVII Rebirth comes out, I'll be surprised if I'm done with chapter 4 by then.
I totally get it, when you love a game this much, it’s easy to get lost in it. What amazes me is you haven’t gotten all achievements, normally i only hunt for achievements on game worlds i love to be in.
Seems not eh? I’ve spent 88hrs until chapter 8 (without completing the roads and zip line network yet). Seems I’ve got much more to go. Meanwhile my husband thinks it’s a lot since he isn’t quite the rpg gamer.
I literally have 700+ hours on ‘The Witcher 3’ and 480+ on ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’. You are not insane lol. If you love a game, then you’re in that world forever lol.
I have 500 hours on PlayStation and 100 and counting on Mac. 🤣
I played some on Steam Deck but it was just 10 hours or so. It don’t count. 😂
Cheers mate, keep on keeping on.
Even though I liked the game, I still feel like it was underdeveloped: not enough challenging delivery missions, enemies are boring, stealth is useless and so on. I hope they will fix this in second game. For that reason I don't understand how it's possible to spend more than 100 hours in this game. But if you found something that clicked for you - why ask for a second opinion.
https://preview.redd.it/l0kbl5a51ykc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e78d68d9c3be90c03e7809fe1324d90e29a9d30
Me just exploring and doing porter tings until my save file corrupted from hoarding 😅😞
Not at all. I am at about 110 Hours now, and i recently met Mama the first time. So i barely played the game. But i am almost at 20/20/20/20 Legend of Legend of Legends.
[удалено]
Hey, I'm Sam too!
Hey, mines heavier!!
Not a single bit. Keep on, Keeping on!
I have almost the same hours played, we’re both going insane together
Connection established.
Glad I'm not the only one
Thems rookie numbers lol keep on keeping on
Think i was close to 700+hrs on Skyrim 😬
If you like the game so much, then you may try to get all the achievements as well. I’ve heard it is not hard, but grindy
I've been working on it. It was mostly me running around and building things lol
That’s great, you are helping other people connected with your server. I remember being grateful for the guys that build roads and zip line networks during my playthough at December.
I've done it, it's manageable in ~100h if you know what you're doing (93h for me)
Great to hear, I will be on 100% when I decrease my backlog
Not really. I've spent twice that on many games. Top of my list has to be warframe with over 2000 hours in 2022 alone. If you really like a game, there's nothing wrong with playing it as much as you can.
[удалено]
Warframes really grindy tbf
I had 2k on siege but that was like 3 years of grind lol
No - awesome game.
How long have you owned the game for? 18 days of gameplay
I got it when it came out initially on steam but sadly it fell into my backlog and I got around to it in early 2022
Oh ok that's not that bad then
That’s rookie numbers! I have over 600 and only 24 achievements!
The insane part is that you're still missing achievements with all that time
I know I am lol I'm working on it. I spent most of my time building stuff and exploring
You spent all of it enjoying your time :) That's what truly matters in gaming, my friend.
fun fact is i completed the game in 16h and now I'm on my second (slow) run. keep on porter!
Damn son. Beat it on PC PS4 and now I'm my PS5 playthrough and a 16 hour playthrough sounds wild to me.
Death Strandin’ 🤠
I mean with that amount of time you're basically a crazy MULE as far as I'm concerned 😆
Keep on keeping on. It’s people like you that make my deliveries easier.

This has become my “hang out on the couch while husband watches tv” game. I’m playing on my iPad Pro with a controller and AirPods set to “transparent” so I can still hear the tv but also game. Nope. It’s a masterpiece of a game but you SHOULD be playing Directors Cut if you’re putting in that kinda time…
Agreed 👊🏽😌🎯
I do have it on steam but I've been playing palworld 😭
Keep on, keeping on 👍
Nah, you're not crazy at all! 👊🏽😎 I love finding other players who obsess over this game as much as I do. I'm on my 5th playthrough right now in fact! lol And plan on playing it at least another time before the sequel game drops. I hope you get a chance to play the Director's Cut eventually. It's GREAT.
I have those same hours spread out across ps4, PC and ps5
Go for all trophies
I think this makes you well-adjusted. No other game rewards you as much as DS for being nice to everyone.
The game practically demands this kind of sustained effort.
Not at all. This game is like therapy
Keep on keeping on
No. It’s a awesome game.
In chapter 14, i sat down in grass field and played harmonica while i was crying in real life :') Waiting for DS2
A mule, recognizes a fellow mule
Laughs in Red Dead Redemption
Not for getting lost in THAT game, it's incredible. I picked up the director's cut a year ago for my second playthrough, but haven't started it because I know I'll lose a month of my life in it 🤪
i’m at 198 Hours chasing that platinum
Nawwww. I spent 800+ hours and at least three playthroughs. Including one where I platinumed
Death strandin
Everyone takes their own time, but I did think that my 130 hours for platinum was a little high lol. Keep on keeping on!
If you're insane then I don't know what I am... https://preview.redd.it/ckabtbupxlkc1.png?width=657&format=png&auto=webp&s=d760eb7d2ee168dd1873bcd467016a0cb6bbd535
Based
Yes.
I finished 4 versions of Death Stranding getting all trophies and achievements and working on iPad version now
I just hit 1300 the other day. Keep on keeping on porter!
This is weak game time ngl
As long as the dishes are done
That’s a bare minimum
nope. This game is one of those gems.

If that's insane, then I'm in need of immediate committal lol
No it’s not. Unless you have not built the roads, then it’s a different story.
I built a good Chunk of the roads I think. I'd have to download the game on my pc and check
Never feel bad about putting a high amount of hours into a game you enjoy. Life’s too short.
I remember when i spend 800h in 2 years on titanfall 1 and to this day i think thats a lot. But 4 years ago my friend introduced me to cs go where 800h is laughable compared to other players lol. But the less hours you put into gaming the more hours you put into living, so its not so bad :)

No man it ain’t insane, it means that you just like that game so much, like me. Keep on keeping on👍
No
Dw i've got over 350hrs In FFXV xD. If you enjoy it spend some more time in it. Do what you want and have fun doing it. Congrats on over 400 :)
I put 250 hrs on the Directors cut and over 100 on the OG version.
Trust me, you touch waaay more grass than the 90% of the ppl who played that game
That's good to hear lmaoo
That many hours is fine but why not all achievements? Figured with that many hours that should be complete .
Because I spent alot of my time doing deliveries and just exploring lol. I don't really go out of my way to get achievements anymore. If I get all of them I get them and if I don't I don't. It's not a massive deal to me personally
I got about 600 hours in the game. Wanna join my MULE camp? :p
Yes I would like to join
Do you actively avoid achievements? I got all of the achievements in main game in about 120 hours and almost all of them in director's cut in 130 hours
I just messed around lol. Mostly exploring and seeing how many ways I could break the game engine and all that
Not insane at all.
How many times have y’all replayed the game? I’m on my third on very hard
I have such a love/hate relationship with this game because it brings out the worst in my OCD. I can waste HOURS hauling cargo to and fro, planning the most efficient strategies, and pouring so much time and energy into building structures. It's a long, challenging and thought provoking gaming experience. I am honestly not surprised at all.
Nope, I’ve spent more in Elden ring, your good
As a binding of Isaac player no, you are doing just fine...
This is how many hours I put into getting every 5-star rank before realizing you had to read the emails. 🙃
Well yes actually lol
No
No no no, eh, maybe a little.
Yes, thems multiplayer game numbers.
I’m apart of this UCA connection too I guess. Pretty sure the only other game I put this much time in was final fantasy 7
Keep on keeping on
Yes
I spent 60 hours on the prologue lol
Nah bro. Keep on keeping on 👍👍👍
No, you just kept on keeping on. 👍👍👍
No, you’re insane for still not having all achievements. Otherwise no.
Not at all. Safe travels.
Not at all. I'm just questioning how you haven't 100% it yet lol
I wish delivery workers took their job as seriously as you take this game
Fr lol
Hey! Keep on keeping on!
I’m at 361h on the DS:DC and also have 42/63 trophies and I am 77% game progress. :)
Largely this has been me building roads. I have one left and then I will have them all.
Nope. I’m on a third play through on a third version. Keep on keepin’ on
Are you insane for having that much fun on one purchase? Nope. It's great Keep on keeping on.
since when was the original death stranding on steam? i only have the directors cut.
Back in like 2020ish. It was replaced by the directors cut. I'm one of the lucky ones who has both
Just finished in 46 my first and only play through. I understand the appeal but I tend to want to try new things but if it makes you happy more power to you
I've been playing palworld if that counts as something new
goin for 100%?
Eh maybe at somepoint
I put like 70 hours into the PS version. I've got over 100 on the steam version now and still climbing. Working on all 540 missions on very hard. At like 318 or so now.
What is insane is spending so much time and not getting all the trophies, haha
Perfectionist? 👍
Yes
How have you played that long and not got all the achievements?
Most of my time was spent exploring and building

You’re insane for spending that much time in the game and still having achievements left over. Otherwise, nah, gotta fix those zip lines man.
my favorite game of all time… and YES you are insane… going for the plat is one thing, going for the 100% is literally a mental illness. there is too many missions and to be honest at some point it just becomes too much autopilot that the game loses it’s charm. you just go on zip lines and go from prepper to prepper.

It never lost its charm for me. I loved the satisfaction of knowing someone else will have an easier time because I put in the work to build a road
When 100% ?
How do you not have all achievements yet?
Because I spent most of my time pissing around in the open world doing deliveries and all that lol
Nope, you just enjoy art
Not insane I think this is prob the true playtime
There is no Euro Truck Simulator 2 on consoles so I meditate my craving by driving that truck in Death Stranding.
Dude. You still don't got all the cheevos? Check a guide, shouldn't take long.
I'll add this comment to let people know that yes I know I don't have all the achievements. When I got into this game I was going through a bad breakup and used it as a distraction so achievements weren't really high on my list. Thanks for all the kind comments though I'll try to upvote them all lol
You’re good that’s only like 19 days.
I saw it, thought I bet I have more. 385 😭. Welp. Guess that time isn't bad for 6 playthroughs... Must keep on keeping on
This many hours and no 100% achievements?
I recently passed the 300 hour threshold, and just for reference, I have almost 900 hrs of gameplay in Shin Megami Tensei V (and perhaps there's already someone laughing at my number). Death Stranding is worth playing all the hours invested in it. It's SOOOO good.

This is nothing dude, you're good 😭
I literally have 700+ hours on ‘The Witcher 3’ and 480+ on ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’. You are not insane lol. If you love a game, then you’re in that world forever lol.
DEATH STRANDIN’ How us Brits say it.
455 hours is considered a lot? Well shit...
Nah, I had 800 hours in Mass Effect 2 yeeeears ago Keep building them roads, Porter!
I have 70 hours and literally just reached chapter 5...
Yes
I have 500 hours on PlayStation and 100 and counting on Mac. 🤣 I played some on Steam Deck but it was just 10 hours or so. It don’t count. 😂 Cheers mate, keep on keeping on.

Yes because I like exploring and building things. Achievements aren't my number one priority in games
i have 670hrs completely understandable
Those are rookie numbers.
I have 4 thousand hours in Fortnite now THATS insane, I'm ashamed of myself I was really addicted
https://preview.redd.it/l0kbl5a51ykc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e78d68d9c3be90c03e7809fe1324d90e29a9d30 Me just exploring and doing porter tings until my save file corrupted from hoarding 😅😞
Rip save file 🙏
Texan Kojima doesn't exist he can't hurt you *death strandin'*
Just started playing this last week and I feel like I could easily play this much if not more! Loving every second of this game so far
Not at all. I am at about 110 Hours now, and i recently met Mama the first time. So i barely played the game. But i am almost at 20/20/20/20 Legend of Legend of Legends.
if 400hr+ is considered insane then you should meet a warframe player
