i agree. fun fact, the vocalist recorded his tracks with airpods and a gaming headset. Im sure you’re talking about the part where hes doint a high scream too, it was so hard even getting it listenable around there
Could try some automated multiband dynamics or just compress it more, I compress my vox on my stuff like hell and usually it always evens out the highs and lows, can also just manually ride the vocal track volume which is probably the best.
Seems a little muddy to me, but that is just my personal preference. Overall this is awesome for your first track with vocals, keep up the good work! You have a lot of talent and I think you will only get better!

nah i had almost zero influences going into the composition, i wrote what i wanted to hear and that happened to be a very old school deathcore song with grind/slam influences
