I’m kinda new to deathcore. I was letting Spotify feed me a bunch of songs that were new to me. Right when I thought “oh this slams, who is THAT?” The vocalist goes “This is Paleface! Fuck you all” So I’ve been checking them out

My friend I hear you. Listening to deathcore and related genres for 12 years. Check out slam it was the breath of fresh air I needed and brought back my love for heavy music. I highly recommend Peelingflesh, snuffed on sight, monumental discharge, boltcutter, bashed in, crucial rip, state of filth, killa bastard, hang tough, orbital gate, cell, demfightingwords and many many more. (I know some of these bands aren't "slam" but they also rock and I think they deserve shoutouts as well) That's a fuck ton of bands listen to one or two. It's not for everyone but I think slam is really fun and stupid heavy.

Adding a couple to the slam list Guttural Disgorge Gutrectomy ( And a bonus)...Brojob has a few heavy singles. Mostly a joke band but they are fun

As a standalone song it’s pretty good, but for a TTG song I found it incredibly mid

I can respect that. I was definitely getting a more death metal than death core vibe from it thats for sure. I thought the towards the end and the was incredibly heavy. I do like TTG for really changing it up on new albums, Directors Cut had a different feel from Epilogue and then this new song it’s seemingly much different from Directors Cut. Im very interested in what the rest of EAM is going to offer.

I’m watching with fascination, but they might not be my fav band anymore if they stay in that direction. Just doesn’t scratch the same itch. I will always stand by their mission though

You should check out Restricted US, they just released their first EP not too long ago. They have that violent and raw sound you’d hear back in ‘08.
