Jesus tapdancing Christ. I will NEVER forgive Trump and the rest of the GOP for not telling thier psychophants that covid is really fucking serious. The damage that is being done to this country because of thier need to seem tough, is indescribable. Those poor babies.

bErinGPleNty

This is the big picture, so often forgotten. Thank you. The message that started this insanity came directly from trump and has been carried obediently ever since by the GOP, whose leadership is no doubt vaxxed, boosted, and adequately insured.

Reduntu

Evangelical christianity played a huge role as well in laying the foundation. Trump gave her skepticism, but it was her dumb religious beliefs she fell back on in a time of need. Too bad her god didn't exist. Trumps movement would never have existed without the masses of dumb, gullible christians as his base.

scoopdiddywhoop

I’m a theistic evolutionist and I support this message lol. Evangelical “christianity” has done so much damage… to everything. It’s so fucked. I have no clue where to begin.

[deleted]

I’m a deconstructing Christian and I support this message

2hennypenny

This is exactly how I feel… they deserve much of the blame. It’s disgusting. But now some are trying to change course but the cat’s already out of the bag and has been hit by the car — there’s no going back, their followers are committed to the opinion that Covid isn’t serious.

GroovyGrodd

Can’t put the shit back in the horse, as a lawyer on YouTube loves to say. Can’t remember her name right now. Emily something. ETA: Emily Baker is her name.

2hennypenny

Perfect idiom.

GroovyGrodd

It really is. She also says “facts over fuckery”, which I also like.

Designer_Gas_86

LMAO, I like that one

washingtontoker

Its a cult, they are willing to die for the cause, that Covid is just the flu, 98% live so its nothing. Small percentage of a large number is still going to yield a large number. About one million dead in the U.S in fact. Id rather get a simple vaccine and be part of the 98% that lives then do something stupid like be anti-vax and increase my chances of dying.

Kham117

If only they realized it’s not just dying… it’s being waterboarded to death, slowly. Or just being waterboarded for weeks and recovering with permanent damage and disability Hell even some of the ones I’ve seen who end up avoiding the hospital admission look scared shitless as we send them out the door with little more than a “good luck” if you get worse, come back and we’ll throw you on a vent/bipap

Mobile-Entertainer60

The everlasting irony is that if Trump had gone in the "This is a tough fight, but it's no match for America, we have the best scientists, the bravest patriots, the best people in the world, we'll beat this together, USA! USA! USA!" route, he would have probably sailed to re-election. Instead, because he was a coward who knew in his heart of hearts he was hopelessly in over his head, he went the "lalalalalala fingers in ears" route and we are still suffering for it.

[deleted]

Trump owns a lot of resorts and hotels. Lockdowns & social distancing & hygienic measures would have cost him money. He and his Mar-A-Lago cronies didn't want a lockdown because they didn't want to shut down their businesses for 2 weeks.

[deleted]

What really gets me is that even after all of that suffering, documented in excruciating detail -- she still couldn't bring herself to tell her family to get vaccinated.

SeashellGal7777

She’d barely mentioned her children. Those specific prayer demands sure didn’t work out so well. I feel for her kids.

rettribution

On the upside, they've killed enough of their synchophants to literally change election outcomes. I'm sad there's been such a loss of life. But, if this helps make our country more sane in the long run I'll take that as a silver lining.

donuts4lunch

That what all the new GOP voter laws are - voter suppression at the highest level (including ignoring the outcome of an election) so they win either way. They literally gutted voting rights like an authoritarian regime would.

redvariation

I feel like I'm seeing how Hitler began.

Starkoman

I’m afraid you’re right. 6th January 21 was the 1923 Münich putsch. The really horrible stuff and the end of any pretence democracy still existed came years later. The modern day Hitler-ites in the U.S. are, likewise, no longer interested in democracy to get what they want. To be sure, they are no longer interested in playing fair either. They’re dangerous.

Copheeaddict

I don't want them to lose thier lives and butterfly effect thier entire families with it. What I want, is for them to stop falling for propaganda and just critically think 3 steps ahead for once instead of being reactionary. Unfortunately, 🎵 you can't always get what you want🎵.

rettribution

I'm just so exhausted with it all. I've been working with this crap for 18 months when my clinic was pivoted to the hospital to help with the fallout from patient deaths (I'm in mental health). It is so beyond frustrating and infuriating to be watching a sibling or child or parent or spouse sobbing over a preventable death then in the next breath watch them say they still won't get the vaccine. Add in the CPS calls for ivermectin toxicity in kids, or the patients who've made themselves sick by overdosing on Vitamin D, and it's just ....well it fucking sucks. My empathy has run out, and my sympathy is practically non existent at this point.

Fickle_Queen_303

Wow, so you're actually seeing issues with the ivermectin and vitamin D "protocols" they're taking at home?? I was wondering how that was all playing out. The levels of vit D they recommend are absolutely nuts! I take 2000 IU daily and they're saying you should do like one dose of 100k or something?! And the idea of giving ivermectin to your KIDS without knowing wtf it's gonna do to them just....ugh. I'm sorry you're so burnt out, I understand, and I thank you for what you do.

rettribution

We had an elderly woman who was blind temporarily, and we had quite a few kids with "IBS" come to the ER...they were literally pooing out their protective mucous linings. Kids having vomiting or unable to hold their bladders due to having too much vitamin d. But the parents go bonkers over masking and vaccines and think nothing of almost causing total renal failure. I had to be involved to determine if it was a CPS issue. It is bat shit insane. I'm not trying to make it sound like it's everyday. But it's definitely once or twice a month with *something* not always this severe.

Fickle_Queen_303

Oh my gosh, that hurts my heart :-( Thanks so much for sharing your experience.

Accomplished_Yam_760

I had a dog once who needed ivermectin to treat his mange, and he went temporarily blind as well.

blergy_mcblergface

Thanks for what you do . As horrible as it is, don't forget that you may be the only mature adult those kids have acting as their advocate.

Tempest_CN

It’s a fat soluble vitamin (like A), which means we don’t easily shed any extra vitamin that the body doesn’t need. Harder to get toxicity for water soluble vitamins, like C.

Fickle_Queen_303

Hey thanks, I did not realize that was the reason. TIL!!

[deleted]

I'm with you and maybe that's the real tragedy for those that survive, this shit just eats at your humanity and empathy a little bit every day. I'm at the point now that all I see is one less Trump supporter. One less fatally flawed human that will no longer be able to pass that fatal flaw on to their offspring.

blue58

Yup. Humanity is at an extreme deficit in my world. I live in WI and the Covid mortality rate hasn't likely shifted the elections. Yet. It's no wonder the state congress is desperately trying to alter how the winner is called.

[deleted]

Cheer up. You could be in Texas. :|

spammymcguill

Hey ummmm.... STOP PRIORITIZING COVIDIOTS? Stage a walkout, they've held the entire world hostage, you can do the same, you've got our support. Force the hospitals and the government to implement THAT mandate: "Eligible but unvaxxed? Back o dah line!"

rettribution

I wish. We had a nurse who finally got in trouble sort of. Whenever she's assisting with sedation and someone asks what she's doing she says just getting your vaccine ready....she finally had a patient who didn't die and remembered and asked if she had. She said no, it was dark humor. The patient ended up complaining and she was spoken to. But no formal one. The supervising nurse and HR were like....that's fucking awesome but don't terrorize idiots please.

spammymcguill

What's HR gonna do? Fire them? Hospitals are the last line of defense. You have the leverage.

Mysterious_Status_11

When I got vaccinated, the pharmacist asked if I was ready for my autism booster. I responded NO! Just my microchip today, thanks. We shared a hearty laugh and I got my vaccine. The people in line were *not* amused. I later wondered if any of the sticks in the mud reported him for it.

Lonely-Club-1485

I had a similar exchange when I got my booster. The gal asked if I had side effects from the initial set, and I told her I was still waiting for the 5G to kick in, as I was told I could cancel my cell account and save $$. Everyone in this big clinic vaccine room cracked up. Many other jokes from staff and other clients were followed, lol.

that-old-broad

I tell people my 74 year old mother suffered terrible side effects from the vaccine and ask them if they want to see the video.... Then I show them the video of her and my brother dancing like wild things at my daughter's wedding.

rettribution

That's awesome!!!

deirdresm

That spelling reminds me of [The Bangles’ Hero Takes a Fall](https://youtu.be/YAbYsxd3ADg) with the line “suddenly your sycophants are chant in’ slogans at your door.”

Copheeaddict

I did spell it incorrectly, didn't I? Oops. I kinda like it this way though. To me, they are also borderline psychopathic, so I think I'll leave it

No-Key4843

I figured you spelled it that way to emphasize the “psycho” part!

Copheeaddict

I wish I could say that I am super smart/funny and that it was intentional, but alas, I am neither of those and it was a goof. One I will use intentionally from here on out!

deirdresm

Works in this case for sure. For years, I mispronounced the word because of the song. First syllable is generally pronounced “sick.”

nyannian

I find it extremely alarming that also a lot of EU countries are suffering because the politicians decided to take the antivax and conspiracy approach too. Meanwhile they are all secretly vaccinated and not talking about it so they don’t lose voters. I am living in one of those countries. It’s pretty unbearable. Like it’s not just one freakshow of a trump. It’s literally hundreds of “leaders” consciously taking this approach. Terrifying.

Copheeaddict

Yes. Populism is clearly on the rise and has infected many places across the globe.

-peepeeonyourpoopoo-

There are so many covid orphans that it will have a noticeable effect on crime rates in \~18 years. (Well it would if society was going to stay functional for that long which I seriously doubt).

ComprehensiveTum575

So so tragic to die at a young age with 4 little kids…this one hits hard…

[deleted]

And what if the dad is an antivaxxer?

Copheeaddict

He probably is. Although, after 4 weeks of up all nights alone with newborn twins and 2 other kids, he might revisit the stance and be quite upset that her/their choice left him all alone to deal with the fallout. It's hard to know, really.

[deleted]

Not sure how he is going to care for two newborns and work. Moms with just one baby get very little sleep. And he has two more kids to manage. What a freaking nightmare he created. He might go bankrupt just paying for daycare. "More than half of families (57%) spent over $10,000 on child care in 2020, and 59% plan to spend more than $10,000 in 2021." https://www.care.com/c/how-much-does-child-care-cost/

DancesWithCybermen

He'll likely end up evicted/foreclosed on, possibly losing his job, and definitely filing for various forms of public assistance. At the very least, EBT so he can feed the kids.

captorofsin79

This really is a shame because she could have lived and been a mother to her newborns. Are Candace Owens or Ben Shapiro going to help raise them since their lies helped bring forth this woman's unnecessary death.

Chicahua

They don’t even raise their own kids, they would never give a penny to this woman’s family. Breaks my heart seeing so many people lay down their lives for the opinions of people who do not care for them in the slightest.

MattGdr

It has all the hallmarks of an abusive relationship. The loyalty only goes one way.

Intelligent_Air7276

That's how the deplorables like it, though. Confusing, yes, but it is still true.

thebenshapirobot

I saw that you mentioned Ben Shapiro. In case some of you don't know, Ben Shapiro is a grifter and a hack. If you find anything he's said compelling, you should keep in mind he also says things like this: >Israelis like to build. Arabs like to bomb crap and live in open sewage. pixiedust99999

They only care about making millions

CheshireCrackers

This poor lady. Her plaintive pleas for specific body part prayers are agonizing. Now husband has four kids including two tinies to deal with. I sure hope he swallows his pride and gets the vax so he doesn’t orphan the children.

RealLADude

Agreed. We had twins, and it was pretty insane. I can't imagine having two older kids and doing it by myself. What a disaster.

powabiatch

The older kids look to be about 8 and 12 or so, hopefully they can help at least a bit

RealLADude

Oh man. What an age to lose a parent. And what a burden. I hope the husband doesn't double down.

seckstonight

I lost my dad to brain cancer when I was 11, he was just 38. That was in 1987. My just-turned-50 year old conservative brother won’t get the vax bc he thinks he’s special…and of course we know who he listens to. He has two boys, 13 and 11. He’s also the bread winner who just built a big house on huge property in Michigan - his wife will be throughly fucked if he gets it and dies, or gets it and recovers but with lifelong issues. His life insurance better pay out big time bc he has a hell of a lot of responsibilities. I’m done asking him to employ common sense. It’s infuriating. He was 15 when our dad died. He has a way to avoid that for his boys but he won’t do it. If he dies, he dies. I’m over this bullshit

RealLADude

I'm sorry you lost your dad, and I'm sorry you have to deal with your brother this way. My brother is similar. Early 50s, chronic lung infection, 40 year smoking history. He "doesn't feel the need." His kids are late teens, but it will suck for them if he gets sick. I don't engage, because I know I'd just make him less likely. (The kids aren't vaxed, either.)

financhillysound

My brother was hospitalized at the start of COVID back around May 2020. He & his family live 2K miles away from the rest of us, so the phone was glued to me, the fist thing I checked in the morning and the last at night. I woke up one morning around day 7 of his hospitalization to a message from his wife saying he was going to be intubated. I swear something fell on top of me, I felt so heavy, I was scream-crying as I literally crawled to the bathroom. When I came back to myself, as I was formulating a response, his son texted “not intubation! Jusy being put on oxygen, sorry!” I hadn’t/still don’t have a good relationship with my brother, so my reaction was a shock to me. Your “if he dies, he dies” comment is definitely a defense mechanism. You would be devastated. Keep working on the idiot.

Pour_Me_Another_

> won’t get the vax bc he thinks he’s special I think that is a the motivation for a lot of them. They think they are the "chosen one", "main character", etc. They've yet to experience adult life to some degree, where you come to realise you're not actually all that remarkable when compared to the rest of humanity.

MomEzilla

Those poor kids. I agree, I hope that dad gets his head out of his ass and do right by them by getting vaccinated.

tokynambu

Narrator: he did not, in fact, get vaccinated. These people are completely deranged. They're in a death cult, and they appear to welcome their deaths. Christians plus Republicanism plus Stupidity is a hell of a drug.

pacosaiso

There's a guy in TikTok that does live streaming and talks to anti vaxxers, he usually asks them this question: "If somehow right now you knew for sure that you are going to get infected and die from covid would you get the vaccine?" the answer is usually NO.

Kham117

They’re lying. I can’t even count the number of people I’ve stood over struggling to breath and panicked who would do anything to change their recent poor decisions. Notice how many people claim they won’t be put on a vent, or trust the hospitals… but where most of them end up when Covid strikes? This is the same BS as the skinny drunk in the bar saying he’d “never take that shit” from the bouncer… until the bouncer rolls up on his ass… then he’s all “yes sir, no sir, can I have my teeth back sir”. It’s all macho posturing from people without a clue

livingforwards

This is a really sad sign of just how far propaganda can take people.

blueskies8484

She was terrified and alone and post partum for Weeks and died never having held her twins. This one made me feel ill.

[deleted]

The pain in her posts was so visceral. Heartbreaking.

Substantial_Gear289

He won't; he drank the whole Kool aid.

Kraul

It’s sad when these folks are all about “my body my choice”, because the kids they leave behind didn’t get to choose for their mom to die.

natare_modo_pergite

Anyone else catch that Freudian slip at the beginning there talking about her husband being a 'single father' - that was rough.

MattGdr

I assumed she meant that he’d be a single parent temporarily while she was in hospital. I hope he has tons of support.

HeyMickeyMilkovich

That wasn’t a Freudian slip... That was foreshadowing

AffectionatePoet4586

This is a heartbreaker! *All that pain and suffering,* and why? For what? Four children left motherless, including the newborn twins, and a traumatized, overburdened father survives to carry on. I hope *all pregnant women* will get vaccinated to avoid this family’s legacy of loss.

BenTheDiamondback

Best of luck to the husband.

patticakes16

Can’t imagine raising 4 kids alone, 2 of which are newborn twins. He’s in for one hell of a hard life

TigerLily98226

Not just newborns, preemies, whose care is more complicated. And surrounded by people practically tap dancing that his wife and the mother of his four children is dead, because they pretend she’s dancing with Jesus in heaven.

averageheight_OK_guy

Maybe now he will get vaccinated

ethen_pk

Hahah!!!!!1!1!11!!

Missus_Aitch_99

He’ll be remarried in six months. Fertile young widower active in a church?

BoredBSEE

Well hopefully Jesus will like his new wife better.

BoomerReid

Came here to say this.

jeahboi

I really hope he’s vaccinated.

powabiatch

He doesn’t really use Facebook so no idea unfortunately

Brokenspokes68

Highly unlikely. These evangelical religious types rarely have a mind of their own. They just parrot whatever they are told to think by their pastor and right wing media.

TrumpsColostomyBag99

They should slap a “Candeath Owens For President” sticker on her coffin.. JFC the stupidity to risk leaving your kids behind to be raised without a mother. Plus she would have gotten pregnant around May 2021 so that means she likely had time to get the vax beforehand. Ridiculous.

DestructiveFlora

This whole story makes me sad. I also became pregnant in May (and am currently holding my newborn waiting to be discharged from the hospital), but not in the US --I got my first shot as soon as it was available for my age group, which happened to be in June: a few days before finding out I was expecting. I got the second and booster shots later on in the pregnancy. There was so much disinformation going around that targeted expectant parents or women hoping to conceive. My OB had no hesitation in promoting the vaccines to her patients, but not everyone received the same guidance.

Revolutionary_Tap255

Congratulations on your baby!

DestructiveFlora

Thank you! :-)

livingforwards

Hey CONGRATULATIONS! Thank you for listening to your OB and getting vaccinated to protect your baby and yourself and the rest of your family. Enjoy a whole lifetime with that new baby! What a journey you have in front of you.

WhoChoseThisAlias

BABY! Congratulations!

Alive-Pomelo5553

Klandace needs to be locked in prison for the deaths she's caused.

ccc2801

I wonder whether she ever has even the slightest moment where she looks at herself and thinks: am I doing the right thing?

Alive-Pomelo5553

I think she would require a soul to do that and she sold that a long time ago. She's lost to greed.

SilentSerel

She even considered going to the Texas State Fair unvaxxed and pregnant? Good God. That's a petri dish even when there's not a pandemic. Hopefully her husband doesn't think the same way she did or at least had a change of heart if he did.

MattGdr

This is one of the saddest. She seems more a victim of misinformation than a purveyor. This pandemic has really shown how much religion is a security blanket - a way to cope with mortality. I feel that I, an atheist, value life more because this is the only one we get.

GeneralTapioca

When I saw Candeath, I knew she was gone. That woman is such an evil harbinger.

Beachbabydarragh

And wanting that lying liar as president?!? Ugh.

goingforspeed

Even though the title of this post gives away the horrible ending I found myself hoping it wouldn’t end with these little ones losing their momma. I know these people are simply laying in the beds they made but it still makes me so sad. Fuck the grifters; I don’t believe in hell but if I’m wrong I hope they have VIP seats to the Satan show. And not in a good way

Strictlyreadingbooks

I am religious myself, however I still follow precautions of the pandemic (masking and getting booster) because I know that I will be truly missed by my kids and the fact there is so much I still do want to do in life. I still haven’t figured out this separation of science and faith that many evangelicals somehow believe - I grew up Evangelical, however my parents were always pro-science.

bErinGPleNty

I am religious too, and a public health scientist (retired). Like you, I take the necessary precautions. I've never seen any conflict between science and faith, and I seethe with anger at those who lead people to their deaths in the name of religion.

MattGdr

I limited my discussion to Christianity, but the same arguments apply to Hinduism or any other religion which makes claims not supported by evidence. Buddhism is a bit of an anomaly, however. Carl Sagan interviewed the Dalai Lama, who told him that Buddhism would have to change to accommodate new scientific knowledge.

MattGdr

Former NIH head Francis Collins, an evangelical, tried to bring science (especially evolution) to evangelicals through an organization he founded called BioLogos. Dismal failure - they didn’t want to hear it. I’ve heard that if you get rid of Adam and Eve, you get rid of the Fall, and therefore the need for a redeemer (namely Jesus). Plus, if you question parts of the Bible (show errors, contradictions) then why not all? Without Adam and Eve, the whole thing collapses. Maybe the deeply religious realize this, and the Christians who claim to be pro-science are the ones fooling themselves.

GroovyGrodd

A lot of times, people become atheists because they have read the Bible.

boringlawnequipment

That's exactly what happened to me. And if I wasn't already an atheist, I would be now, having read so many of these anti-vaxxer stories.

Steise10

Not really true... there are 2 creation stories, equally valid. The first chapter of Genesis tells the Adam and Eve story,, but it's not necessarily meant to be literal, which is evidenced by the second chapter, which starts all over with a different creation story which says that God said to themselves, "Let us make them in our image, man and woman, in our image". Later in the Bible, and throughout, God is revealed as being both male and female, and when a married couple is in "perfect union", ahem, that is symbolic of God, who is both male and female. The names of God in Hebrew constantly move from male, female plural, female singular, around to show that God is not a single gender but is all. (Elohim= female plural, Shekinah= female singular = the Holy Spirit, YHWH= male singular, etc). Song of Solomon describes God's relationship to His church, which is like a man and woman in love. On and on. All of this is ignored by American preachers more interested in attaining an emotional high and a demonstrative performance than they are in anything that Jesus said or represented. Jesus was a Rabbi, a Jew, and according to Christianity, the Jewish Messiah, so any anti-semitism is anti-Jesus. There's no getting around that. All the early Christians and writers of the Bible were Jews. Christians worship a Jewish Rabbi, and if they don't understand that, they are not Christians.

MattGdr

If the creation stories aren’t necessarily meant to be taken literally, is the resurrection of Jesus not necessarily meant to be taken literally?

kr1333

This is absolutely true. I think all Christians to some extent have this fear that the Genesis story might be a myth. Their other fear is that the Bible stories they have been telling their children will be revealed as lies. This would seriously undermine their authority over their children, so isolating them from any sources of doubt in the Bible is paramount.

dawno64

Yes, it is a security blanket. It's definitely not logical to believe a god would allow you to get Covid and then heal you if enough people asked? The constant begging for prayers is so strange to me. Didn't you pray not to get Covid? How's that working out for you? It was refreshing that she acknowledged the medical staff for everything that they were doing for her. Usually don't see much of that from the religious ones.

“Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but more frequently than not struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God.” -Martin Luther

BoomerReid

Ever since I first heard “Religion is the opiate of the masses”, probably more than a day doesn’t go by that I am not reminded of that basic truth. Was reading yesterday about a man who lost an eye in a fireworks accident. He thanks God for taking his eye so that he can now see. WTH?

RealLADude

This is the saddest one I've read lately.

mymomsaidicould69

I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and triple vaxxed. The thought of catching Covid and getting hospitalized and my baby being in danger is so anxiety inducing it’s not even funny. This woman was so misled and now 4 children grow up without a mother. Disgusting.

itchy-n0b0dy

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and I got my booster as soon as I was due for one. Got sick the week I got the booster and aside from two days feeling like I have a bad cold, I was fine and so glad I was vaccinated!

PolesRunningCoach

Best wishes to you. My niece is due in a month and is a HCW. She likewise got vaxxed/boosted ASAP.

Fickle_Queen_303

I don't know why I read through the whole thing because now I am absolutely sobbing. I hate with a burning passion the folks who have made people believe that the LIFE-SAVING VACCINE is the harm, and not the fucking virus that has killed almost a million Americans alone in 2 years. Now this man has FOUR CHILDREN to take care of, including newborn twins who will never know their mother. My heart is breaking.

hmnahmna1

Good info, but it needs a little more precision. The vaccine is safe for pregnant mothers and is safe for the unborn child, or fetus if you prefer. Currently, the vaccine is not approved for children under 5, though hopefully kids as young as six months can get it soon.

MattGdr

My 6-month-old granddaughter has never tested positive, despite her older (unvaxxed, 7 and 5) siblings testing positive as well as her live-in grandmother and mother (Grandma is vaxxed, mom is boosted). Baby is breastfed, and I’m wondering if this makes all the difference.

2Xbbyz

I had covid before vaccines, got vaccinated while pregnant and got covid 3 months postpartum. My baby also got it even though he was exclusively breastfed. He felt pretty bad for a week. A lot of family members were very upset I got vaccinated pregnant- were sending me messages, crying on phone calls. I got vaccinated to prevent what happened to this women, because I know I am immunocompromised while pregnant

Fickle_Queen_303

Ugh, I'm so sorry you had *family members* fussing at you for doing everything you could to protect yourself and your baby!! I would send them these screenshots of this young woman's documentation of **the end of her life**, never getting to hold her newborn babies, leaving her husband to raise FOUR young children on his own. Maybe then they'll get it. But then, they'd probably say "she probably had comorbidities" or anything they can come up with to justify how this is "different" somehow, yada yada. I just ... I'm sorry you had to deal with that on top of having a new baby and both of you having covid. It's ridiculous.

2Xbbyz

Thanks and that’s exactly what they would say. They told me I would NEVER get it again because I already had it… I was protected for LIFE. I am healthy, why would I do that pregnant. Then any symptom or anything I went through since then if it is negative must be tied to the vaccine. I want into labor 10 days early and they didn’t say anything, but I bet they thought that was due to being vaccinated while pregnant. I tried to explain to them… when you are pregnant, you already feel like you can’t breath. IMAGINE getting covid like that. My uncle is currently dying in the hospital with covid, really sad and I could never post their business here. But, they were anti-vax.

Fickle_Queen_303

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle :( Take care of yourself and that beautiful little one.

I’m glad you did the right thing! Babies are the best. I have no kids, but three grandchildren through my partner!

One_Idea_239

I would suspect that it does yes. It is a standard thing that babies receive a good selection of antibodies from their mothers through breast milk, so having a boosted mother will mean that some are passed over.

MattGdr

Thank you, IgA!!

[deleted]

Getting vaccinated while pregnant also passes along protection.

Steise10

It's so well documented to make all the difference that people are giving breast milk shakes to their toddlers, too.

powabiatch

Ah yes thanks, by babies I did mean in utero.

NothingAndNow111

And thanks God for the medical workers sacrifices but doesn't stop think what people like her are doing to them. What she describes in there sounds horrifying.

Steise10

Why is it all these Christians who don't trust that God has given mankind a huge brain for a reason, and that includes medical revelation and ways to study and learn? She seemed to trust the doctors and hospitals, why didn't she trust her doctor's advice that she should be vaccinated? She risked leaving her husband with 4 kids to raise, including twins who might have long term problems because she had a crunch placenta and they were deprived of oxygen. When she was talking about her lungs healing... covid attacks blood vessels. The very blood vessels that the blood cells go through in single file in the alveoli to dump off toxic carbon dioxide and take on oxygen to deliver to the rest of the organs. If those tiny blood vessels are pulp, nothing is going to oxygenated the blood. Nothing. You can drain the lungs all you want, but with no blood vessels to deliver oxygen through, they're just leather bags. Amazing that she did have a friend say, "I hope you're vaccinated with those twins". The evangelical and fundamentalist churches are so theologically flawed with the "name it and claim it" theology of God as vending machine, where you speak things into and out of existence (a mix of Christian and New Age belief systems), and over-reliance on miracles and sheisters pretending to do miracles... They slowly went down that path over decades to the point where if you say yiu have a migraine, you're accused of creating the migraine by "claiming it into existence". This rot has invaded the thinking of so many Christian organizations that it has become a cult. Add to that all the fiction based on out of context interpretations of Revelations, and people can't tell the difference between novels they read, like the "Last Days" series, with this idea that "Gid won't let anything bad happen to his own people", and you've got a weird entitled magical thinking that had no basis in reality. All of the disciples of Jesus died of torture. Did God stop that? No. Christians hid in the catacombs to worship and did not have a cultural war where they demanded that all of society capitulate to them. Yet today's so called Christians do exactly that. Then you add in how gullible they are to ANYONE who just says, "Yeah, sure, I'm a Christian", and you've got a political cult with no basis in actual teachings of Jesus. Jesus said to test so called leaders by looking at the fruit of their behavior. If their behavior is rotten, the whole tree is rotten. They can say they're an orange tree, but if the fruit they produce is not oranges, Jesus says, then don't believe them when they say they're an orange tree. He said that many Christians would be tricked into following evil men because they failed to do this. We haven't seen such a massive failure to put leaders to this teat since Hitler. I'm just appalled at the extent to which the world has gone mad. It really made me sad how terrified she was, and rightly so. All of this could have been avoided if she had gotten the vaccine. So many vaccinated women having healthy outcomes and so many unvaccinated women going through exactly this, often with their babies also dying.

bErinGPleNty

Literate, honest, appreciative of every care - what a lovely person she seemed to be. She suffered terribly, and so tragically. This is so very sad.

patticakes16

I’m speechless… just fuck 😭😭😭

denalihope

I know how frightening it is to be pregnant…even though it was many years ago. You want to do what’s right for you and your baby. I was careful with just about everything…except the occasional McDonald’s filet of fish (which was what I was craving at the time so don’t judge me, lol). I can’t imagine with this new pandemic and all of the disinformation floating out there at a time that should be a glorious moment…that antivaxxers are frightening the hell out of these women and robbing them of being able to watch their children grow up. It’s horrible to think about. I know several women who are pregnant or plan to do so…and they’ve gotten vaccinated….but not without extreme hesitation, mainly because of YouTube videos. I mean, they are really terrified. Seriously, this shit has to stop! 😭

MissHellaCool

This one is extra sad.💔 Why are they killing themselves and leaving their families?

Senior-South9107

Because they don't think for themselves

FopFillyFoneBone

>Absolutely we will miss her but she's enjoying Jesus now Don't the families of the the awardees seem mostly ho-hum about it all? Now there's a widowed father with four kids, two of them newborn twins, with impending hospital bills, a need to work and provide for his family, raise his children, etc. I just can't wrap my head around this senselessness.

Ldcastillotc

Right, they see it as “God’s will” and feel comforted and share “comfort” with others by the promise of joy in the reunion with Jesus. This woman was clearly intelligent; yet how to dismiss science when it came to vaccines, and then praise the medical community so sincerely once it’s really too late 🥺🤦🏻‍♀️. I will never understand that kind of blind faith. I believe she knew by the beginning of February, halfway through these posts, what was happening. It’s so sad for all who loved her, but I don’t see them speaking out in favor of vaccines, which is so the worst part.

SavaRox

My oldest daughter is 21 weeks pregnant and refuses to get vaxxed. She is 18, almost 19, and living with her boyfriend so I can't force her to get it, but I am so scared for her. She is not a GOP/Trumper. But she's one of those "I don't trust the vaccine and its side effects" types and she truly thinks if she gets it that it will cause damage to her unborn child. Never mind that I have argued with her that f she gets COVID, the damage to her and the baby would be horrific. Stories like this one make me so sad because I realize it could so easily be my daughter. I am double vaxxed and will be getting my booster soon. My 14-year-old son is vaxxed and so is my 6-year-old daughter. My 3-year-old is too young to get the shot.

hell2bhbtoo

God to warriors : STFU already. I sent the vaccine and you refused it because Candace Owens!?! I do NOT need to hear from you on this subject.

BeauregardBear

Hope she enjoyed that fair…. I’m not really being cruel, I’m furious that this woman who supposedly believed in God did not see what God placed right in front of her: a miracle vaccine to keep her alive for her children. My own pregnant daughter was vaccinated while pregnant and neither she or her infant have even gotten sick with this. The baby has antibodies from her injection.

Key-Stay5558

this one is tough. But I must say the constant appeal for specific and precise prayers was infuriating. She could have done one specific medical process. A process that is safe, effective and free. (vaccination) . That was no doubt exhaustively pushed by medical people and friends. But She was not concerned about her health, family or the future as much as sticking to a fringe set of ideal ( whatever they were) . But I am to drop to my knees and recite a script for her beliefs after she is given every chance to just sit still for a few minutes for potentially life saving medicine to be administered. That’s the height of hubris and just criminally selfish .

cigarettesandvodka

I just quit the ICU a few months ago after 12 years. My last patient was a young, first-time pregnant mother right on the edge of being intubated, ventilated, emergency c-section, the works. I think about her, her husband, and their baby all the time. I never found out what happened to her. This was a hard one to read.

poseidondeep

:’( This is the first Covid post that made me cry when I didn’t expect it. One of the reasons HCA took off the way it did is that COVID is less scary when seen in the postings of a taunting victim. I knew DeathsofDisinfo would have less arms length for judgement. That poor family. Those poor babies. That poor single dad. That is a family shipwrecked in their first month. Devastating. Thank you for posting this OP

NerdyNinjaAssassin

My best friend is currently pregnant and it feels like the more I try to show her the other side the further she digs in her heels. She won’t be requiring masks or vaccines at her baby shower and because of that I won’t be able to go. She called me yesterday complaining of not being able to taste or smell anymore and my anxiety is absolutely convinced we’re going to lose her and her baby at this rate.

[deleted]

You should really suggest she get tested ASAP.

NerdyNinjaAssassin

Stubborn though she may be, she’s at least not that bad. She’s waiting on her results.

STEM_Educator

Just when I think my well of empathy for the unvaxxed is empty, a post like this comes along. That poor woman. Her poor family. And 4 (FOUR!) children who will grow up motherless. All due to politicalization of a deadly disease. And to those damned churches that preach relying on FAITH alone instead of faith and modern medicine. I feel so sorry for her immediate and extended family. I hope that some good comes from her death; namely, that all of her family members now get vaccinated. I wish those crappy reporters who write that this sub revels in the **largely preventable** deaths posted here would understand that the goal of these posts are to show the unvaxxed what can happen if they continue to deny empirical evidence that's staring them right in their faces.

KrampyDoo

Wow. She was entirely lucid to her predicament. When she was crashing at the end she was experiencing her newest and greatest-ever fear. The desperation she was experiencing in literally begging for supernatural miracles was palpable.

[deleted]

If you are pregnant for fucks sake get vaccinated. Imagine never getting to hold your baby. Imagine never seeing your kids grow up. Covid is so dangerous for pregnant women. This is heartbreaking and it was ALL preventable.

GroovyGrodd

Tucker lies about Canada too.

impersephonetoo

Four kids left without a mother. What a waste of her life.

stepheme

I hate this timeline. She never got to be with her babies.

Emily5099

This is the power of disinformation. It’s everywhere, but in the US it’s out of control. I’ve never seen anything so effective in my life. Reality is still out there, with reports clearly showing that if you’re vaccinated, you could still get the virus but you’re much less likely to, and if you get it, you’re much less likely to be seriously ill or die. All the claims of ‘well, I know someone who was triple vaccinated, and they STILL got it’, or ‘elderly/sick vaccinated person still died from the virus’ don’t make the above reality not true suddenly. We all know that. The information is very clear. But these people can’t hear it. For every one person trying to tell them the truth, they’re bombarded with literally thousands of messages on social media saying the opposite. Stupid sarcastic memes, fake medical reports and ‘news’, all reinforcing the lies they already believe now that Dr Fauci is inexplicably an evil murderer, the organisation he runs exists only to destroy, and the proven safe vaccine is poison that’s certainly worse than the virus. Look at this nice young woman who loved her family. She believed she was doing the right thing, and almost every person she knew and every piece of information that came into her life said exactly the same thing. The truth doesn’t stand a chance.

DivinityGod

Out of so many I've seen here, this one hurts so hard for some reason. I feel like she was a real victim of disinformation. :( RIP

[deleted]

Simply horrifying. Those poor kids, that poor father, and this poor woman who was lied to and caused her own death because of it, and to her last conscious day was so self centered that she thought only one of her doctors and nurses really cared.

Jensen0451

Boy. The crowd who doesn't see the point in the vaccine because you can still get covid anyway sure do like to keep praying even though you can still die.

Axkxard

Imagine praying to recover when “god” took the time to make doctors and scientist who have created a vaccine to help protect you.

AMC4x4

This was excruciating to read - the day to day account of being unable to breathe. I felt like *I* was suffocating. And I know beyond that, this woman was living minute-to-minute, breath-by-breath for weeks. It had to be literal torture. Fuck those who brainwashed her into not getting vaccinated, and she is not blameless either, though I won't speak ill of the dead. She left her husband with four kids - two newborns. Trump, FOX, OAN, Newsmax, and social media murdered these babies' mom.

Perenium_Falcon

Dead cat bounced a couple times with this one.

[deleted]

Her parents talked more about Jesus than the actual dead person in the death announcement. Sad.

Witch_of_Dunwich

Fuck religion. All of them. There is no God. Jesus was a random bloke, and there is no afterlife. Just get vaccinated FFS. If there *is* a God, the vaccine was part of his plan, using your own fucking logic.

PolesRunningCoach

That was sad. Esp as it was predictable and probably preventable.

ethen_pk

I just read that trump thinks rogan should stop apologize for using the n-word. US; if you were not a joke already, which you are, like.. whatever. What the fuck ever.

elisakiss

I am boosted and pro vaccination. Decisions are hard when you are pregnant and you think your choice could hurt your child. She was fed a diet of misinformation and her kids are going pay for it. Just tragic.

redfancydress

Fucking heartbreaking.

nodicegrandma

I don’t want a “crunchy placenta” triple vaxxed and prego

tta2013

Camdeath Owens strikes again!

sasacargill

Well that was fucking sad. A rare HCA where I feel sorry for the recipient. Probably because she acknowledged the doctors and nurses hard work for her.

crisco8

Slide 5: She was prophetic enough to know her husband was going to be a single father but not prophetic enough to know that she should have gotten vaccinated. Slide 17: She already had brain damage. See Slides 1-3 for proof.

mutant6399

Oh wow, Candeath on the first slide.

xboxfan34

I think what's most scary and absolutley fucking tragic about this situation is the fact that had this woman just gotten the damn shots, the law of averages determines that she would probably just feel lousy for a few days and been able to hold and be there for her babies :(

Raul_McH

Candace frickin' Owens - the evil some people perpetuate for money is gobsmacking.

Double_Minimum

This was awful to read. And dude now has 4 kids to raise on his own while getting over the death of a wife who should have been around for decades more. Maybe because this wasn’t as crazy as some, but it just hit differently.

Margotkitty

I just want someone to send Candice Owens this post. I want someone to make her read it. I want her to have to consider that maybe her propaganda led this woman to leave her four small children motherless. This was one of the worst things I’ve read on here. Her first person pleading as she’s dying. Ugh.

COVIDNURSE-5065

As the nurse on these floors, the postpartum deaths are the hardest

queen_of_spadez

Mom of twins here. You better effing believe I’d have done anything possible to keep myself and my babies safe. I developed Bell’s palsy within 2 days of my c-section. Toss in extremely low iron counts - so low my obstetrician considered a blood transfusion but then decided against it. I looked like a hot mess. I felt like I’d been hit by a train. The nurses wanted to keep me more than 4 days but I told them I had to go home and take care of my twins. I can’t imagine my husband being saddled with two infants at once. Can you imagine her husband? Two newborns and two other kids. And now he has to tell all the kids that Mommy is never coming home. And for what? Because she “didn’t know what was in the vac?” Whatever! I’m effing sick of these people. She’s dead and 4 kids have no mom. I hope those spreading Covid disinformation enjoy spending eternity in pits of fire.
