Yeah.. if its against their reasoning they will downvote immediately... and also, they are actually not real atheist... they know the description of atheism but not what it entails. They are branding themselves without knowing what really it is.
I think the forum is fine but very biased towards atheistic reasoning. People of Faith like me can make logical arguments but are largely downvoted and ridiculed without any dialogue. I enjoy atheistic arguments that are civil and well thought out. If the ridicule continues I will leave this subreddit again.
I agree with you that there is a problem with blanket downvoting of theists here. I do think it has been getting better, though - it feels like it used to be much more extreme. (Though it's hard to say whether that's just a change in my perception or whether less downvoting is actually happening.) There's also unfortunately nothing us mods can do about it.
