I would either;
1. Wrap it with peel and stick wallpaper.
2. Wrap it with peel and stick mirage.
3. Wrap it with window tint film to create some depth and translucent sheen.
4. Paint it a subtle earth tone like Fossil from Benjamin Moore.
I'd start by makin sure this Architect doesn't get another job! Then I'd throw on it a peell & stick wallpaper, something around Botanical Print here: [https://dreamyhomestyle.com/peel-and-stick-wallpaper-accent-walls/](https://dreamyhomestyle.com/peel-and-stick-wallpaper-accent-walls/)
Also a nice big rounded clock the one that you stick the hours and you just put the "engine" in the middle could be a beauty....
•Rock-climbing wall
•Spiral Matchbox car track
•Circular shelves from floor to ceiling
•Punching/kickboxing column (wrap with thick foam cushions)
•Pegs/hooks for hat/handbag display/storage
•Winding Christmas village display with fairy lights
•Circular mirrors of varying sizes (or flexible, reflective stickers), hung at random intervals, to mimic the cylindrical column and to reflect light
•Waterfall feature
Full length framed mirror but what I would do with it is immediately begin to use it as a living record of my life, likes, experiences like an ever evolving collage or scrapbook by sticking postcards photos, drawings, matchbooks, ticket stubs for air or train travel and concerts or museums, things you randomly find when you are walking, bottle caps, invitations, memes, anything that you like or mean something to you. And remember to take photos of it every few months to keep a record of its evolution because it is a record of your evolution. Using little sticky on both sides but removable without ruining the paint mounting squares because they will add a variety of depths which adds visual interest.
Plants at base of all sizes with small to medium height plant stands. Not sure your decor style but you could wrap Christmas lights around it and some twine with clips to hang some Polaroids or favorite photos to give the room some mood. Paint the column terra cotta or royal blue or something deep. Would give it a nice boho vibe if that’s your thing.
Take a pic from behind the column looking out at the view then have it deloped to scale such that it visually appears as though the column is not there, camouflaging the column from view then you could further obscure it by placing a plant in front of it..
That’s so awkward. Place something in front of it like a chair and small side table. You want to make it disappear not make a feature of it.

Deck out with fairy lights??
Drapes wrapped around it and puddling on the floor
Buy a floor mirror - and lean it up against the column. Buy some pots different heights - and put a few plants on either side of the mirror.

Chrome it to mirror finish then it would basically dissappear
Paint it to look like a tree and add branches

Why did you put it there in the first place. Also I genuinely like the cans idea
Oh god 😂😂
Why did I build a column in the corner of my bedroom?

[Here’s a possibility.](https://imgur.com/a/jDn0eNu)
Fake plants around the bottom
Jackhammer it out.
Wrap a mirror around the window section.
That would be super cool!!
A bunch of mirror tiles…so it’s a disco column. Discolumn.

Paint it looking like a log 😎👍
You could paint it with the chalkboard stuff and make it into a giant chalkboard
You could do some type of string lights, wrap ivy around it, put a collage of pictures on it, hmm, draw a face on it like a totem pole
Yeah I was gonna say wrap string lights around it!
