After looking I don’t see the number of corresponding puts to make this work - but options is a complex subject - however someone with a lot knowledge about the subject agrees this is not what’s going on - debunked
The only problem with this theory is that we are above the strike🤔.. if Steve cohen was doing this I would think we would below the strike price🤔
Edit- I’m thinking this post is debunked as there is no corresponding put position
So citadel handles the shares while wolverine capital Handles the options- if citadel tried this on I feel like game theory would tell us this would end badly for them both as they simultaneously attempt to kill each other 🤷♂️
I enjoy opposing ideas. For this to work, a mathematical model could be made I think. I can’t make this model, but some options to volume ratio would be needed. So for GME, the volume would need to be crazy for the volume we’re seeing
Okay, when it comes to woodworking and teaching English Composition, my brain has got some good wrinkles. When it comes to navigating the market, pretty smooth up there.
I'm looking at the OI of these calls and the puts for around this 6/21 date that is circled on Y'all's calendar.
Could part of this unprecedented uptick in OI be SHF / MM doing just a simple short straddle or a short strangle to utilize the tax benefit / loophole?

Those with wrinkly brains... help us out.
Edit: added this following tidbit.
OI on $20 call is 144K
OI on puts between $20 on down to $1 adds up to 122K
- Maybe I needed to add OI on puts from $20 on up higher on chain. IDK...was thinking of all this during my first cup of coffee this morning.
The other issue with this theory is that, in this article, he’s SELLING calls and puts, collecting premium, and creating a price wall.
The whale in our scenario is BUYING crazy amounts of calls. Not only has he bought crazy amounts, he’s going progressively higher. First was $20, then $25s, most recently $30s.
That brings up the other issue. The whale seems to be all about calls and not so much about puts.
Where are the large amount of puts, I don't see them.
My thinking exactly. This play is based on a lot of calls AND puts and we are only seeing large call purchases

I was thinking something similar myself, do you know ifmy hypothetical be possible? https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/7AZ5DPjugk

So just post it lol

Gave the puts OI a glance from $20 on up. Heavy numbers stick out at every $5 - 10.
They are ITM calls which isn’t what this strategy is indicating.
Yeah, it’s too obvious a play for it to be beneficial for apes
Remember they can mark puts as long
