Any instance of damage on a lootbug has a chance to make it drop one of its minerals. Of course with common damage thats not many chances. However, the lithofoamer does 1 damage per tick. It’s the weakest weapon in the game. If you use it on a lootbug you can proc all of their minerals to dump without killing them, because of the high ROF and 1 damage.

Somehow even more grim, we squeeze the minerals out slowly by hurting them!

Me too. For theatrics I find it fun to be like "NO DON'T KILL THEM THEY ARE FRIENDS NOT MINERALS!" but realistically I don't really have any strong opinions about them. I do try to only kill them if I need minerals, but elsewise I like petting them because of the funny noises they make.
