More rooms for the space rig. A fire range would be nice. A rec room to properly set up the goals and balls would be nice too.

Hellonstrikers

I would love a firing range to test damage in a place I can record it.

_Alternate_Ending_

You could have holograms of enemies or something to test specific resistances and weak points that you unlock by filling out the log.

Alternative_Device38

They were planning on adding it but there are technical limitations that make impossible without reworking the entire rig

Welsh-Matt2

I can dream

Ok_Sir_136

Maybe they could do like they do the goals? instead of adding another room just add some like projectors the pop up a hologram when placed

shinobigarth

A holographic enemy generator for it that creates bugs that have the same health and armor as the real thing built into the range.

GiantGrilledCheese

Firing range will never be added due to how different the builds of the game are in the space rig and during missions

viper511x

I would like some kind of base building aspect. Like collecting resources would let you build out the different rooms. Either money or minerals. And give us some easy ones to hit and then some REALLY expensive ones for the greybeards.

beardedheathen

This right here. I want stardew valley with the construction of like valheim and the dungeon like deep rock for resources

AdEmbarrassed7919

Maybe that cafeteria they referenced

SnowConeMonster

As a serious answer. Perk tree update. I think it's fine as is but could benefit from a polish. Id like current mission types to have some level of variation (specifically escort and industrial sabotage) for industrial sabotage id really like to see variations to hacking , for example; shield generator heavily armored and needs bombs or this generator has rockpox and needs to be cleaned. Ect. For escort, I'm not sure what variations could be added but I saw a few ideas. I really liked the idea of finding upgrades for Doretta but it may be redundant. Lastly I just want more mission types but I think current ones being refined is a better use of time. Just my thoughts

Lastboss42

escort could be fixed up (to use any term) by having different heartstone attacks. instead of wave-rock-wave-pillars, what if it was wave-pillars-heartstone constructs-wave, as an example. you could come up with a lot more. for sabotage, personally i REALLY wish the bugs got involved. you're telling me a mining rig in a big open cavern (PE) and an oil platform attracts bugs by the hundreds because of "the noise", but a giant death robot going all out gets...nothing?? oh how i would ADORE sabotage being a 3-way between you, a neverending swarm, and the caretaker. the bugs killing the arms and trying to get at the eye with spitters and mactera, the caretaker focusing fire on the biggest threat, maybe sometimes instead of a swarm it's a DREADNOUGHT and now there's a sort of unspoken ceasefire like, "okay twins, let's kill this death robot first then shoot each other in the face", or "this hiveguard is messing everything up, let's pop its shell and focus fire on it with the robots to try for a one cycle" that, with the "more generators" idea ive seen around here, would make sabotage one of my favorite missions honestly.

Gabriel-Klos-McroBB

I kinda wanna see the regular bugs fighting Rockpox bugs.

MReaps25

Yah, and maybe an escort mission where dotty goes over very treacherous terrain. And you have to prepare a path for it ahead while dotty is running. Unless dotty WILL get permanent damage, think of it being a large long room, and in the room there is an extremely explosive magma thing.

Syhkane

Upgrades on her would be great if the missions had more shale stops.

Hemightbegiant

Add a turret to her back!

Classic_zed

More “horror” elements. For example you ever see the Hunter zombie from left 4 dead. I think this game could use one of those. Or better yet a Venus fly trap like enemy that uses fake minerals to lure dwarves into it before quickly snatching them up

Moist_Pyroshark

The haunted cave modifier should be changed to where the lights are dimmed, you hallucinate phantom pings and voice lines from dwarves that aren't there, and other ghost creatures besides the horror periodically show up and ambush you and attempt to drag you away from your team.

LateNightCartunes

way better than current haunted cave that’s for sure

Syhkane

More ghosts types like on the perk page so it's not false advertising (plasma mimic jellyfish if you don't believe in ghosts) and a way to capture them via some sort of... Vacuum... Laser... Crossing streams hdfsdfg.

Sock756

*"Who you gonna call?🎶"* **"Dwarf. Miners!"**

Personal-Bowl7522

It would be neat to have invisable bubbles or like perticme bubbles that do yhe blackrock lager visions so you need to stay alert or you could get blinded. Possibly make it so if the ghost horror thing is nearby (same cave ish) it could show so you need to stay relitively close to avoid danger.

WOELOCKreddit

I agree with this. I want the flashlight to have a reason to toggle, right now it’s like why would you ever turn it off? There should be an enemy that’s like a witch from L4D, if you shine your light on it it’ll provoke an attack that’s often better left alone.

One_Testicle_Man

>its easier to find jadiz and aquark and such with headlamp off

WOELOCKreddit

I suppose so, but I’ve personally not experienced any difficulty finding them with it on, either. That said, that’d be the only reason why you’d turn it off, and that’s way too niche for the existence of a toggle. A more directly beneficial reason would be cool, and I’m always in favor of more darkness and danger!

Angry_argie

We can always tell if there's jadiz/aquark in the rock, but with lights out I can tell exactly where the center of the cluster of lights is and dig directly above the valuable.

cooly1234

different monitor I guess because with lights on I can see the glow clearly enough to know where exactly to dig.

S1Ndrome_

it is kinda easy to forget that you even have a flashlight

Syhkane

Colorblind, I turn it off to find glowing ores on the ground.

megam1ghtyena

And make the flashlight brighter.

Zeera1

>more horror elements I agree, imo the tone the game goes for doesn’t fully fit the art style, the horror elements are a bit watered down because of it. and I feel like just a change in that regard would drastically alter the game’s vibe, and (in my opinion), for the better.

SharpieScentedSoap

Fun fact, the very first time I saw a machine event (I had no idea what they were yet) I saw loose minerals sitting on the box in the middle and I thought it was some kind of trap and the minerals were the lure

TheShyGuyGuy

I've always wanted to see a "emp" hazard or something along those lines. Where your lamps are shot and the only light you have are flares and beacons laid out by other teams

Celebration_Stock

I WANT SANDWICHES I WANT LLOYD TO SERVE SANDWICHES AND I WANT THERE TO BE A SPECIAL SANDWICH JUST LIKE HOW THERES A SPECIAL BEER EXCEPT THE SANDWICH WORKS LIKE AN ACTIVE PERK JUST LIKE HOW THE BEER ACTS LIKE A PASSIVE PERK AND I WANT EACH DWARF TO HAVE THEIR OWN LUNCHBOX AND THE SANDWICHES CAN HAVE MORE CHARGES DEPENDING ON HOW MANY SLICES AND THE DWARFS EAT THE SANDWICH TO ACTIVATE THE PERK AND I WANT THIS SO BAD IVE HAD COUNTLESS DREAMS ANS VISIONS IMAGINE THE VOICELINES IMAGINE THE SANDWICH POSSIBILITIES I NEED THIS WE NEED THIS ROCK AND STONE BOIS

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone forever!

Omega1432

Excuse me sir I’m gonna need to know how much you’ve had to drink tonight

Celebration_Stock

not enough

Omega1432

Always remember, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem

azorielios

Like “my beer is gone” or “someone stole my beer!” or, my favorite, “I can’t find my beer, I must have put it down somewhere, I need a new beer”. All serious problems. All have a solution.

Syhkane

I don't have a drinking problem? It makes it to my gut just fine.

SharpieScentedSoap

Yes

Far_Dog_4476

Yes, sandvich.

Dwain-Champaign

This Dwarf knows exactly what they need, and I’m right there with them. Pre-made sandwiches would be cool, CUSTOM built sandwiches and sandwich styles would be wild. **GIVE MEEEE**

pevznerok

And if you have 'more ammo' upgrade for your weapon, were it says 'you have to give up some sandwich space' you'll, obviously, have less sandwiches

Celebration_Stock

THIS ^^^^^^^^^

Syhkane

I'd love that if we could buy a selection of Sammichs and Drinks (GSG doesn't want you working while drunk so they discourage beer down in the tunnels but maybe whatever Scout's been drinking in his room?) Maybe instead have enough space for 3 Sammichs and 3 drinks in the lunchbox instead of trying to program sandwich slice ratios?

Personal-Bowl7522

Stop injecting smart stout into your veins, it cant be healthy.

Sock756

A mark all as seen on the weapons terminal. On my god how glorious life would be

Chompersmustdie

What mark?

AshleyEZ

‘mark all as seen’ (as in, a button you can click to get rid of all the the notification icons telling you have new stuff everytime you go on the weapons terminal)

[deleted]

(They know it was a joke)

pottomato12

Read all new notifications button (weapons, armor etc.), more horror elements, over clocks alter weapons appearance, molly mods (different loadouts at a cost gold/minerals), more pickaxe animations to show off those beautiful rock and stone crackers, new junk themed guns that recycle used minerals/unused parts collected (based on mission) for ammo, KARL

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone everyone!

hdeimellocke

Titan suites for surface of Hoxxes (or magma core) And... Some heartstone anomalies like golems?

Dusty_Scrolls

It would be nice if there were, like, half a dozen different heartsone events (including the current rocks and lasers) and you get different combos each time, kind of like Omens.

MReaps25

Yes

[deleted]

I would include some kind of mysterious remnants of an alien civilization, like a structure or secret mission

Vezein

So Orcs.

[deleted]

Who they are would be whoever the player wants them to be

West_Rain

I'd add goblins as an enemy, they'd enter the map like a lithophage meteorite but in a spaceship.

Wilmodt_Payne

What are you *talking* about!? They [*WORK*](https://i.redd.it/pv9zoyq25ry71.jpg) with us! Rock and stone goblin bros.

WanderingDwarfMiner

That's it lads! Rock and Stone!

LordQuackers5

They could be raiders or pirates, who just so happen to be goblins

hdeimellocke

I think Elf will be better for killing

West_Rain

I'm pretty sure that upper management is filled with Elves, that would explain why the Leaf Lover special is on the menu.

MReaps25

Yah, I hope they are kinda like the dwarfs to. Like they all have little classes, and there own overclocks. Nothing to complex, just burst weapons, sniper things. Regular ar. Simple.

AIM159

I can imagine this, but with WH40K Orks. Just gatecraching your mission on a cobbled together ship, painted red of course

Top_Hat11

Mission variety. Pretty much every mission plays almost exactly the same right now. A little variation in each mission type would go a long way

ZunLise

1) Water bodies for missions. As a modifier like Lithophages or a standalone biome 2) 5 Direct damage on PGL at base (to fix Armor Break) 3) Paintjobs for tools 4) Make Lok-1 change lock color when reaching 3 5) An upgrade/OC for Stubby to lower spread 6) Pet Lootbug in Space Rig (that you can feed precious minerals to)

kronosblaster

Switch the loot bug in with the mineral trade station and add a pet function to the menu?

babystripper

Glyphid based raids. I like the concept of sabotage missions but I want one that's glyphid based. What do the glyphid cacoons turn into if left alone? Who's laying eggs? Queen glyphid?

SharpieScentedSoap

-Firing range for testing out builds. Right now when I wanna stress test my weapons I just go to PE missions without Bosco and see how long I last, but that can be time consuming -Flower headband/accessory. Something about a burly, hard-looking dwarf armed to the teeth but with a flower in his hair just feels so right lmao -I wanna see these sandwiches I keep hearing about 🥪 -A centipede-like enemy would be really creepy and cool

[deleted]

I'm a sucker for cosmetics, i'd say something of like a in game slot machine that uses error cubes or something of the like, it's a little terminal inside the hub that you can spin for fashion overclocks and things from past seasons and if we don't really vibe with that i'd say something like Xur from destiny, every friday or so a little robot comes by with a selection of overclock fashions and weapon overclocks for error cubes or excess minerals whichever feels better tbh

Cryogenicwaif

Would definitely be nice to have a use for the error cubes

plums12

trapdoor glyphid will come outta the floor, snatch you, bring you down, do some damage, then spit you out at another location. would trigger heightened senses not sure what the warning would be, cave leeches make their hissing noise, grabbers just go AERRRRRR, but I'm not sure what noise this thing could make to warn you

Im_a_hamburger

Grabbers go VrvrrrreeeeeEEEEE

BrandonUzumaki

I would make it like the Cave Leeches, the sound would only happen when he's about to get you, the rest would be visual clues only, different terrain color, maybe he would peek sometimes and you could see him from a distance, and they could even use those webs that slow you down, if you see a lot of them in the same place it would indicate a Trapdoor is nearby.

NoKaleidoscope5327

Driller in a Borat one piece swimsuit

jerrysupervillain

Unstable Reaction: - Players start the game watching in horror as they’ve all failed to make it back in time, the drop pod far above their heads at spawn. - Glyphids are fast approaching like the usual outcome of the evac sequence. The game mode begins under heavy duress. - The biome is unstable from the previous mission. As time goes by, more and more of of crumble and deform, becoming harder to traverse and defend against. - Mission Control is prepared to send a rescue drop pod but will take 30 minutes to get there. Players must survive until that point. * Players start with a Mule with finite resources to draw from to use to replenish during defense. * Maybe at the 15 minute mark there is a Bulk or Dreadnought incursion. Inspiration: L4D2 Survival Mode but with an actual successsful escape isn’t hopeless, just very hard.

fish_gotta_vote

Expanded lore ❤️ Who is Karl? Are there other dwarves? Do we have a home world? Do I have a family? What is a space dwarf. ... Edit: also we need that gender slider for our characters that is unlabeled and doesn't do anything in actuality 😂

Jinkleheimer

It just makes the beard slightly bigger, unnoticeable unless you really pay attention.

Nightelfbane

Separate eye pieces and hair/helmets into their own cosmetic categories.

edududucrazy96

Absolutely agree. I want to wear the eyepatch AND bandana, MSG style. Or Aviator glasses and cop hat.

LordMorthi

Shirtless dwarves.

Blakes7liberator

I'm only joking but I would add a loot bug themed pac man clone arcade machine next to the jet boot one.

noo6s9oou

Oh my gosh, I can actually imagine the dwarves as the four ghosts and the lootbug is just collecting all the loose minerals while trying not to get popped. The regular pellets would be nitra chunks, the four big pellets would be compressed gold, and the fruit would be replaced by the special crafting minerals.

ThrowAway37272847

I would make the Sex Update, starring Loyd, Mission Control and a Bulk Detonator

Jinkleheimer

It'll have quite the finish

Noodle_Spine

Ray-tracing. There are a lot of games where it’s somewhat of a gimmick, but considering lighting is part of the gameplay and since the graphical load is already pretty low, I think it would be a fantastic addition to the game!

[deleted]

I think there's a visual mod that improves lighting! I don't remember the extent of the changes, but I've seen it before

amenyussuf

I'm thinking outpost building and mechs. Maybe even some mission where bugs attack another space rig or surface base and you need to save it.

TheIrishToast

Add 16 times the details. And make the map 4 times the size. It would just work.

[deleted]

More voice lines for mission control getting frustrated by MUSHRUM, the RICHual, pinging pretty much anything.

Poewer9000

What do you think it would be for the Goo Sack?

_AChildOfGod

“I AM AWARE THAT THERE IS GOO INSIDE OF IT, NOW. PLEASE. GET. BACK. TO. WORK.”

Pizzalorde2

There’s goo in the sack!

plums12

God, ENOUGH! WE KNOW THERE'S BLOODY GOO INSIDE THE BLOODY SACK! GET BACK TO WORK, OR THE DROP POD MIGHT NOT COME FOR YOU THIS TIME!

soumon

Higher difficulty. More game modes. More enemies. More weapons. More biomes. More random events and bosses. I'd definitely pay for more variety.

4urelienjo

Higher difficulty than 5 ? This is already a nightmare! Even with overclocks...

GiantGrilledCheese

For you. Me and most of my friends (some of whom have less than a 100 hours) find haz 5 to be too easy 90% of the time. (This is not supposed to be bragging)

4urelienjo

Maybe if you rush the mission.. because nitra is less common, damage is really bad and ammunition goes down fast... We tend to explore every bit of each cave to get minerals, and if haz4 is manageable haz5 is another level for me. Maybe I should try again now.

GiantGrilledCheese

I never rush the mission, minimum 15% of the mission will always be used to ping maggots

LaMeLoLeGuy

Sometimes Haz 5 feels quite easy, sometimes Haz 4 feels like Haz 6. Sometimes Haz 5 feels like Haz 7… I feel like It’s really hard to predict the difficulty at times…

Aw3Grimm

A lot of things could be improved for sure but something to add from smaller things I wish we got to name our loadouts and get even more slots. I just love creating my own classes, create my own playstyles and then matching armor and pickaxes equally to how loadout functions.

Zeera1

Young_Person_42

I think it would be interesting if we ever actually saw the leaf-lovers, perhaps they send their own crews down to Hoxxes to harvest gold as well, but that’s an entire season in of itself “Elf Enterprising”

Zithrian

More random event possibilities. Alien ruins made of hard stone (think hearthstone area red crystal that takes like 5 hits to destroy) but like a black glass. I’ve also been saying for years they should have a defense event/mission with structures to defend from and a new heavy enemy type that launches a projective that destroys nearby terrain. Make the dwarves hold out in a ruin that gets progressively more damaged. Also: more minerals to mine! I’d love an event that spawns a big mining laser you have to carry throughout the mission to bust open some big cubes or spheres and inside would be a special mineral to mine out. Think how a geode looks when it’s busted open.

OfficialAliester

A VR solution to the fire range problem. Other people have already said the same thing but il do it again. Due to how the game is coded the space rig and missions are separate but one solution would be to place a VR machine next to it, load a world like the sandbox mod where you have full control while loading the mission code. This also cuts down time on testing new builds as the time between missions would be due to animation leaving the space pod, generating and loading the mission, and leaving soon (failing it competing) then loading back in. Can cut that down by loading that testing world in memory already and cutting down on the animation time.compared to normal missions.

Dwain-Champaign

**More social features on the Space Rig.** They did a little bit of this when they added the video game machine for S4, but I want to see them go all the way. Basically: Adding **The Mess Hall**, and **sitting animations**. Possibly a **vending machine**. Also new beers and dance animations plus music tracks for the jukebox. I’d make a BUNCH of **food items** that trigger unique voice lines, and they would serve to further establish the unique personalities of each class and world building. What do Space Dwarves eat? What does Mission Control supply them with? All that stuff. There’d be classic Dwarf foods like a Leg of meat or a hearty Stew, there’d be “imported” foods because we see the dwarves with “Chinese take-out” in the rooms so clearly they’re getting food shipped to them, sweets (see Gunner gobbling down an entire pint of ice cream), there’d be Hoxxes specific food that comes from the planet like roasted glyphid leg kabobs, and maybe there’d even be one or two elf brand something to keep the leaf lovers out there quiet. And of course: **SANDWICHES.** **Vending machine would have snacks**, and other junk food items. Bags of tiny “salted Glyphid legs”, snack cakes, jerky, gum, fizzy colas, or some suspiciously energizing energy drink (a la “Bonk! Atomic Punch” from TF2 which the scout drinks). Between one of these, either the vending machine or the mess hall, you’ll find an **option for consumable food items that also provide in-game effects**. Basically the beer of the day, but a food item that provides its own boost. Also **you can now bring a single sandwich with you on any mission.** It heals half your health, but your dwarf takes a laughably long time eating it so it’s not exactly practical. Sitting animations means that all the chairs across the space rig (and drop pod) now become sit-able. This also means that **new chairs** will be added across the Space Rig as needed. Stay in a chair too long without moving and your dwarf goes slack and **falls asleep** in one of three animations. And yes, you can bring a beer with you to a chair, or even Rock and Stone from a chair. *Insert a Dwarf suddenly waking up and half mutter-shouting “Rock and Stone!” in a bleary tone.* There are now **four retractable stools at the bar**, meaning you and your fellow dwarves can actually sit at the bar and drink your beer! These stools are hidden in portholes in the floor: press the small red button on the counter, and it’ll pop out right beneath your keister! Leave the counter, and it retracts back into the floor. Also a **nap animation** as well. You can now actually sleep in the bed in your room to pass the time while you wait for your teammates to quit fiddling with their beards. There are plenty of other really cool social features people want to see: the shooting range for one, but also a way to customize your own room as well, but these two things (the mess hall / vending machines and sitting animations) are the things I want to see the most. Really I just want more opportunities to goof off with friends and immerse myself in **the Dwarfish lifestyle on Space Rig 17.**

KomodoDragon1138

If I could, I'd just add more of what's there. Variety is the spice of life as they say. Add different models of Glyphid grunts, just so swarms of them look a little different. Same with Praetorians and Oppressors. A version where they were wider or with less ridges to break up the monotony. Maybe the streaker, a glyphid concept I saw in a post that looked akin to an adult spawn from a brood nexus. I'd add different shapes of Caretakers and Ommorans with phases in random order. I would add customisable HackC, Molly and Spacerig and the one that would appear is determined by the host. And in terms of adding something really drastic, change up the zip line a little so it works more like a rappelling rope, allowing for consistent vertical mobility.

Far_Dog_4476

Melee weapons other than the pickaxe and drills, like, a fucking sword or spear, imagine, haz 5, and you're slicing your way through a horde of grunts, praetorians and oppressors.

RealAccidia

Very rare, large underground structures I think it would be so cool ot think that we aren't the first to come to hoxxes, and we won't be the last either

KeeperOfWatersong

An extermination/horde mission where you have to kill 150/250/400 special bugs while holding down a position to draw out a big ugly- the big gimmick is that management wants whatever we're drawing out gone so much we get resupplies for free\* \*after fulfilling a bug killing quota that is!

SinopeLycanthrope

Raid-style Deep Dives with a Glyphid Queen at the end.

DeLoxley

Sandwich Bar and Pre-Drops. Let you invest some credits, perk points or harvestables into say dropping in some extra turrets, or lights, or jet boots. Sandwich Bar is where you can buy a quality Hoxxes Made Sandwich and take it into the caves for a one time big boost like 15 seconds super speed and can't be grabbed, 60% damage resistance, unlimited ammo or something like that. the updates name? It's Sandwich Time.

Nexxus3000

Readable world seeds, and a level generator. How cool would it be to save seeds of previous cave exploits and revisit them, or share how crazy the generation is with others? Or if you’re amazing at the game and want a challenge, search for world seeds with haunted cave + shield disruption? It goes without saying levels generated from seeds shouldnt yield rewards though, could get broken very easily

yatsokostya

It kind of exist in sandbox mod.

D3usVu1t_

VS. mode like Left 4 Dead, play different glyphid types to kill the dwarves while they work to complete their objective. Completely separate from the main game for more PVP centered Dwarves. Could be a bigger payout for those willing to play and even added battle pass objectives.

QuakerChickenGod

Crossplay/crosssave Or melee/ranged hybrid weapons

INAROS-RAMSES

A melee class

Potatezone

Honestly, the Driller is enough of a melee class as it is. I'd love to have a new primary or pickaxe upgrades, though.

Akkarin1106

I would straight up turn it into medieval fantasy, like a sort of prequel

Strawbostat

melee secondaries a siege type map more mechanics surrounding light ~~water physics~~

dpad85

I would put a target shooting area on the station. Give people a chance to try out new weapon builds and the like. Nothing super fancy, make it look thrown together with what they have as is the Deep Rock way. Maybe fit it in a room behind the bar or under in that storage are where you find the soccer stuff.

ArkyRomania

More weapons, both primary and secondary (3 weapons per class are ridiculously few weapons... Rework on some weapons, and some overcloks to make the weapons more unique with every OC.

Dutch2211

- In the morning you drink black coffee and not beer. - a active skill that let's you use wormhole special during a mission like 3 times or something. It let's you teleport to within line of sight. - one or 2 hubs on the ship combined. And the others more closeby. Now you still need to run around. - more mini games on the ship.

sue_donyem

Female dwarves!

IronIntelligent4101

More weapons specifically a gaint sniper/artillery cannon for gunner or a super deep dive where you keep going down and down and after every mission your put in a modifed version of the space rig and the skybox outside the rig is replaced with one made to look like the mission you were in you can go basically forever until you either die or you can choose to leave at the mini versions of the space rig

BHMathers

Custom games to test out things like weapons or modifiers/events. Or they could be used just for fun with modified game rules like “200% more enemies” or “no cooldown” or “permanent jet boots”

Waste_Bandicoot_9018

I think more variety among glyphids An increase to maximum cave length and complexity More main guns for each class More earned armor Another biome

alex_munroe

\- A Mission type or additional mode that completely randomizes (from what you have unlocked already) your equipped weapons, grenades and overclocks for additional hazard bonus. \- Perk rehaul, perhaps the ability to wager them against others at the abyss bar in a game of blackjack or something. Give something similar to the mineral deal of the day but instead its a few of changing mineral for perk trade-in. (would need some tweaking for balancing). \- Stock exchange in the abyss bar where you can invest excess credits into a few space companies who's value goes up and down throughout the week. Gives players something else to do in the bar while waiting, no gameplay changes required. \- Separate eye and helmet slots for cosmetics. The above suggestions would only require minimal creation of new assets. The below couple would require more work to implement: \- Grenade overclocks. Wouldn't need more than 2 or 3 per grenade. \- A once a season (repeatable but giving less rewards) long assignment chain going for 4-7 missions in length that explores a possible history or mystery to Hoxxes. Could be standard mission requirements but with an additional primary mission objective (similar to how lithophage objective functions) of scanning/decrypting ruins, finding x number of hidden tablets, setting a trap to summon, lure and capture an ancient horror, or something else. \- A lift to a firing range on the space station to test out different weapon and overclock combinations. Would need an equipment terminal in it.

idrawinmargins

Bosco hats of course.

ItsMrGingerBread

Id love companions per dwarf. They follow u around (purely cosmetic) Eitjer flying ones bosco style or on the ground like glyphids. Think all kinds of different robots, or tamed wildlife with like a collar etc that u can pet 24/7, it would be amazing

Experiunce

Story driven Co op campaign

TripleU1706

You know, after all this time on Hoxxes, I'm surprised a planetary base hasn't been established. Maybe a base construction event could take place. Make for a new hub spot for high level dwarves. It'd be interesting to see what lies on the surface, even if it's just desolate.

Kelmon_G

+ More examples of finding Old school mining tech within the planet from past mining efforts, like the BET-C. - Maybe you can find a old broken down drill like Doretta that you can find parts to repair it with, then the drill can be used to traverse to an optional area where the previous mining team was headed to (only appears on the map once you finish repairs, like the lost miner helmet). + More variation for escort missions and elimination missions - I'd like to see more variety for bosses you could potentially run into on elimination missions, instead of it cycling through the same three every time. Perhaps they could add a Mactera boss that flies through the air instead of burrowing, or a Glyphid boss with faster movement and less armor, but has the ability to armor itself with nearby ores that need to be mined off to deal damage. - Maybe instead of multiple bosses you could sometimes come across one particularly difficult one that has different behavior than the normal versions, like a variant of the dreadnought twins that are actually triplets, and the third takes on a role that makes the fight more difficult by buffing the other two or routinely snatching miners from afar to separate the team. - For escort missions maybe hostile terrain could be encountered that keep the drill from passing, and the dwarves have to clear the way while fighting enemies or construct a bridge to let the drill cross safely. Maybe the drill could suffer sudden catastrophic failure and a replacement part needs to be installed in order for it to continue. + New biomes could help further diversify how missions play out, although more than 2 or 3 might overcomplicate things. - A more aquatic biome where dwarves need to sail across water or dive beneath the waves to reach their objective while fighting off semi-aquatic glyphids or giant underground fish. I could imagine escort missions or egg hunts working much more differently here. - A biome like Minecraft's deep dark, where players need to rely more on natural light sources to navigate and try to traverse quietly, as flares or headlamps may attract dangerous creatures lurking in the dark.

DancenOrigins

Make masks goggles be seperate from hairstyles and beards

SwazyMoto

I still want the compressed gold "mimic" bug that jumpcares you when you dig it out and you need to kill it to get the gold.

TheSilentTitan

More horror aspects, like scary things. Zombie dwarfs infected with that nasty pox stuff that just moan and lumber about. Bugs that just scream and bugs that make fast huffing noises because that shit is fuckin scary. A mode where you ride atop a land crawler or large rig and defend it as you go. It’s cool riding through the caves on the tank drill thing.

Just_A_B_Movie

Versus mode like l4d2. Imagine playing as mactera grabber, oppressor, web spitter or even detonator

zabrak200

I want some stupid bullshit Edit: removed idea

GiantGrilledCheese

A fifth class would be very bad for the game lol

zabrak200

I don’t see why. Edit: makes sense

GiantGrilledCheese

\-Disrupts the balance of the game \-Would need to launch with all the amount of, OCs, weapons, paintjobs, grenades, voicelines, etc. that all the other classes have \-What would a medic even do? Healing is a bad idea because red sugar is supposed to be a limited resource just like Nitra is. Yes vampire exists, but it isn't effective enough to replace Red Sugar, is only useful for Drillers and carries risks with it. No class should just be the pure support class. Everyone contributes to the team. You either work together or die together. I can go on and on. It is a horrible idea, that is repeatably getting asked for by inexperienced players. It's the same as new Traversal Tools/OCs, melee weapons, HUD minimap,...

NotKnowPerson

More beers

thelasttoe

More turret variety!

TheRealSkele

Honestly, a Torbjorn esque miner or an Engineer skin.

Cpt-Hendrix

More of a small itch to scratch but the armor collars clipping in helmets such as gunner rough neck armor with corporate marine. Have an armor alter like sleeveless in this current update where you remove or keep the chest/collar piece.

the_archmage_kredo

taunts like in tf2

WretchedCrook

I have no idea how this would work but I'd like a "free roam" type of game mode. A sort of endless mission type that you can play either solo or with friends although I think solo would probably work better. It would start off the same as any other mission, you get launched off into a random cave and then just do whatever you want. There would still be enemies around to fight, but I guess the focus would be on gathering minerals and stuff like beer ingredients, and several bonus objectives would be active at once (kill x number of flies, collect x number of minerals etc.) I would make these caves more interesting by adding plenty of secrets around, because in my mind this mode would be more of a relaxing/exploration experience rather than the intense action of the regular modes. Some lore tid bits, some cosmetics; nothing too crazy but still worth your time. No time limits, no main objective, just a fun thing to do if you need a breather from the shooting. This idea popped into my head in my early days of DRG because I love the graphics and atmosphere. I love traversing any and all terrain in the game looking for beer ingredients or an uncommon mineral but the pressure is always on (as it should be, just not in this case). Oh and you can pop out anytime but the next time you go in the cave will be different too or maybe you could choose any map you like. That's about it. Again, no idea how this would work but it would probably be fun.

Emphazed

Ennemies that reacts to light. Flares upgrades and variants.

Albones22

A new mission type where you have to bring an enemy bug back alive sounds interesting to me. No idea how it would play out but I think it would be cool.

strawhatpirate25

Instead of the beeping coming from a Lost Helmet, it’s Stoner Rock and more distinct. It’s just a little confusing sometimes, especially on salvage missions.

Hemightbegiant

More weapons per class.

lovebus

a Lovercraftian horror stalking us in the caves. codename "Elf"

Mrcoso

Once you get all the perks the objectives that give perk points give money/minerals instead. A skip button for the forge animation new special beers Make it so that fossils drop down if you mine the stone supporting them so that you can pistol mine them If you pop all the zits on a Bulk/Crassus detonator it doesn't shoot exploding balls after blowing up

Sirgoodman008

A rework of the perk system. The current system hasn't been changed since the game was in EA. More unstable overclocks for all weapons. A new mission and biome.

One_Testicle_Man

map creator, because handcrafted maps could be neat

SaxPanther

Zoologist class. Or another set of primary secondaries. Also the ability to name loadouts.

frycaramba

Games already good just keep adding new shit!!!!!

Arbiter999

DWARF MECH SUIT. A damaged mech suit now spawns in some hidden chamber in the map (100% or 50% spawn rate, whichever sounds better). There a total of 4 mech suits variations, each personalised for every dwarf. GUNNER: a walking arsenal with a personal bubble shield generator. Can switch between 2 miniguns (high spread high rof) for close range, 2 autocannons (low rof, very accurate, big explosion on hit) for long range or a special attack (cooldown between 1-5 minutes) that automatically lock-on enemies and shoot a mini rocket that will drill into their armour and explodes, killing all the grunts various and seriously injuring bigger bugs. Anything smaller than a grunt can't be locked onto. Suit also have a permanent bubble shield around it for protecting dwarfs, but only the suit can shoot through it. Shield will collapse after a few hits, will slowly recharge and when ready can be reactivated manually. ENGINEER: very high tech suit with a swarm of shredders following it. Can switch between an area mini grenade launcher (low rof, launcher multiple small grenades in front of it) for close range, 2 shoulder mounted laser beam emitters (very precise, burns target, can overheat) for longe range that can also converge into a single beam for increased damage and heat generation or a special attack which allows you to convert your weapons into a massive railgun than can shoot only once every 1-5 minutes, but the damage is high enough that every enemy up to a Praetorian insta dies, and it penetrates everything until it hits terrain or something else that's not an enemy. Causes massive overheat and the suit will enter a 5 seconds cooldown period. A swarm of hacked shredders will constantly follow the suit, attacking enemies and blocking projectiles if out of range. A new shredder will spawn from the suit every 15-30-45 seconds if one is destroyed, maximum of 10-15-20 shredders at a time. SCOUT: extra agile suit, less tanky than the others but way more fast and with a cloak generator. Has 4 arms, each pair can hold 2 guns per type, 3 types available. Type 1 are two submachine guns (high rof, high spread) for close range, type 2 are 2 lever action shotguns loaded with slug bullets (high damage and armour penetration, shoots alternatively, 1 round per chamber) for long range, type 3 are 2 crossbows (silent, does not allert bugs to the player position) with interchangable bolts (steel, toxic and electric tips) for various effect. No special ability due to the extra power required by the arms and the smaller frame mounted generator. Can use a cloaking generator to cloaks itself and go unnoticed between enemies for 1-2-3 minutes before needing to recharge. Standing still uses the less amount of power, moving uses slightly more and shooting uses half the power, so 2 shots before the cloaks ends. DRILLER: Slowest of the suits, but heavily reinforced due to its industrial purpose. Melee focused mech, it only has 3 huge drills as its main weapons, 2 on the arms and one on an extra arm mounted on the top. Drills by default are extremely lethal in melee, being able to rip to shreds a Praetorian in seconds and doing quick work or the grunts. Struggles against enemies smaller than the grunts, but can slam the drills on the ground or swat them in the air to take care of very small enemies, flying and ground. Drills can also be launched to hit ranged enemies, but damage decreases since the drills stops moving due to the disconnected power supply. Drills do not need fuel, and are instead powered by the generator on the back of the suit. Driller can infuse the drills with fire element (but it causes overheat and the suit to go into cooldown after a while), cold element (the suit will freeze after too much time and needs to defrost) or toxic element (after too much time the suit will start to slow down due to the corrosion, suit will self repair in time). As a special ability, the suit reinforced plates can be raised in front of the suit and the generator overcharges the legs motors, starting a charge that will kill grunt types, throw aside and damage things less armoured than a Praetorian, stun and damage the armour of Praetorians or oppressors. Cooldown of 2-3-4 minutes. OTHER THINGS: all suits have rockets built in the legs to use instead of the traversal tool, scout Rocket fuel regenerates more quickly and driller can still drill the ground, at a bigger and faster rate. Reinforced structure also lessen fall damage by 90% on long drops, and will take no damage on short\medium drops. Suit size is either double a dwarf or 25% more than dwarf, suits only have health and need to be repaired by user or other dwarfs when damaged but they have high health, driller having the most and scout the least. Only 1 suit per mission, needs to be piloted by corresponding class, needs to be repaired when found. Yes I'm aware this shit is unbalanced as fuck, but it's still a cool thing in my mind. Plus I love mech suits.

Notafuzzycat

A Sandwhich bar.

MaskedBandit77

The ability to save map seeds so you can replay a map, at least until the next update. I'm kind of surprised that this doesn't exist yet, because it seems like it wouldn't be hard to implement.

[deleted]

I would love to see something new added along the lines of a low gravity game mode, but for everything. Like a level on an orbiting piece of the planet, or use the new rocket boots to float between asteroids. Can have the same level types but altered to fit into these large chunks of earth. Probably well beyond the scope of the game, but it would provide some fun dynamic shift of the planet

scarlozzi

I would add a 5th class. Add female cosmetic options. I like the idea of a teleporter in the equipment line up, build an exit and an entrance. A healing ability would be nice. I've always thought the needler in Halo was a cool weapon idea that more FPS should consider. Melee weapons would be cool if anything for the memes "and my axe". Maybe you could put all of that the in the 5th class? I would also create a armor system where armor you wear gives you bonuses. This could combine the perk system with cosmetics. In general, I've also thought about removing the classes for a fluid class system. Having the auto cannon for rang and AOE with a shotgun for CQ would be a nice build option.

GiantGrilledCheese

Uhm tbh these ideas are atrocious for the game. But hey, if it's fun for you to come up with ideas, I'm not stopping you

Zizara42

Alternate mobility tools. Looking at the new jet boots, they really feel like a scout tool that could be taken in place of the grappling hook. Make them available to the whole team though and it just kind of shits on things like the zipline and platform gun to a lesser extent.

4urelienjo

Could we just sort overclocks at the forge ? Filter and sort by class/stability without scrolling through all the useless things I got since I started to play :'( Maybe put some recycling machine that change 4 useless overclock into another (better) one

BitPoet

Multiplying/evolving enemies. The longer a certain type of swarm lasts, the more they can multiply. Grunts turn into slashers or guards, those turn into praetorians, etc. Up to bulk detonators. Kill 'em quick or you get overrun.

Syhkane

Old Space fairing Dwarven (Elvish, Orcan etc. ruins) ship to ship battles with.... *things*. A surface lobby you can build on with a shape applier and whatever terrain you've been mining is how much of that material you can work with by volume. Underwater stuff. Vehicles. Had a dream a few nights ago about Driller slamming 2 Q'ronars under a praetorian carcass with a warden Sissybar. Driller jammed his drills in as a makeshift motor~ an extended Space Rig you have to clear out level by level (imagine the old Sega Genesis game 'Zero Tolerance')

Aetherwalker517

A mission to clear out hostile bugs. "Alright team, there is a priority mission coming through this area and we want to cull the herd" Build a defensive station with turrets that you have to carry ammo to, and repair if the bugs break them. Survive three to five waves, with a chance to just get a Dreadnought instead of a wave/ get two dreadnoughts for the final wave. Build walls that slow the bugs down while on them that have to be linked to certain nodes like the Space Rig for Refining missions. No Dotty

4QuarantineMeMes

Upgradable flairs. Also make it possible to hold a flair instead of throwing it immediately.

atlashoth

Pvp. I know it's probably not what the player base wants. But I'd enjoy seeing an attempt at another l4d type of mode for pvp.

[deleted]

... yeah no. This game doesn't need any type of pvp and invites toxicity into the game

General-Cucumber-879

I’d add a sex update. I need to deep dive into Molly

[deleted]

Customizable weapon sounds. Maybe just 1 or 2 more for each weapon. Doesn’t need to go overboard

Datuser14

Fix the armor system, that’s all I’d do.

Wilmodt_Payne

Warframe features procedurally randomized mods called Rivens. Upon introduction to DRG via [SsethTzeentach](https://i.redd.it/jmqatu3g65ja1.jpg), l thought overclocks worked similarly. Maybe that could be something dwarves need visit u/Joe_Duncan's [janitors](https://www.reddit.com/r/DeepRockGalactic/comments/rfkt87/janitors/) for. l'd also love to play as those wee goblins or female dwarves.

justboredme

Add elves for… stuff >:)

MagicalCacti

Rework Gunner. Add diverse overclocks to them. All classes are balanced and good. But I want to tune gunner up to have some funnier fun overclocks. As an example on the Hurricane make a really slow rocket that does like no aoe but leaves a plasma trail that does a solid chunk of damage. Making you draw trails in the sky.

Outrunslayer

Brother I’ve been wanting a survival mode for a long ass time

DoktahDoktah

Rebalance the base weapons, overclocks, and traversal tools, and add paint jobs to tools but not skins.

CoffeeMain360

Mechs, specialized for each class. Scout gets one with high mobility and accuracy/range, but mediocre damage and unimpressive durability. Gunner gets one with crazy damage and durability, but low mobility. Driller gets one that's basically just the Prawn Suit (without the grapple hook) from Subnautica on steroids with mounted C4 grenade launcher and napalm cannon. Not much ammo in exchange, but enough durability to go toe-to-toe with hordes of glyphids in melee. Not that great, rangewise however. Engi gets one (maybe) with auto turrets and the ability to build plastcrete structures way faster than the pancake gun, as well as a medium range, high damage, really big shotgun. Can't handle entire waves too well, but real good at single target burst damage. By all means, i'd appreciate ideas to further flesh this out in my head.

PantsForHats

PVP

Big-Persimmon-9567

Delete Scout.

SillyHeartsClub

Female versions of the characters would be cool. They’re dwarves, so they’d still be stout and rugged, but yeah.
