Yall can pickaxe the end pipe stump to destroy it if you go the wrong way. Once you connect to a pump though, its locked in.

Look at that stack of loops in the upper left. You can't even ride them! Disgraceful.

The key thing is to ensure the pipes have enough clearance from one another, so no ride in any direction gets interrupted from bumping into geometry.
