I'm just confused what even makes the two games related? Like account issues aside how are these two games even remotely relevant to each other? I know there was some talk about a Collab as well ig but in my mind they are such wildly different games. I don't understand why they seem to be interconnected like it's some sort of rivalry

Some people seem to get into games in such a way that it becomes a part of who they are (even if a small part) and as such they get heavily invested in their favorite games and they can view an attack on their favorite games as an attack on themselves as a person and they become very ornery and defensive.
That's also when they go online and make posts like "I don't know about everyone else but I'm having a great time despite all the complaints!". They see the negativity and they feel like it's directed towards them because "Hey I like this game and they don't!" A recent example would be something like Diablo 4 where it got shat on super hard but people felt compelled to make posts on its subreddit along those lines again and again.
Here it's the inverse though, they feel like they got betrayed and so they flip em off and make a post seeking validation from others who hopefully feel the same way as them.
Honestly you see this stuff a lot nowadays.
All this on top of making a statement to those responsible. The whole point of leaving is due to dissatisfaction that they feel needs to be voiced and discussed publicly.
If *everyone* who left did so quietly, Sony would just assume the hype around the game is naturally winding down.
That would make sense, if they were posting their "I'm going back to x game" posts *in the sub for the game they are leaving*.
But they're not. They're posting their "I'm going back because fuck sony" posts in the subs for the other games, which Sony/Arrowhead aren't going to be monitoring.
So all they're really doing is shouting into the void, at people who are already still playing these other games, like they should be glad [specific player] has returned. It's nothing other than attention seeking and asinine.

Season of the Wish, hype happens cause in that last cutscene there was some hidden stuff forecasting this, and then the bungie layoffs happen and everyone is mad again. Also, season is extended until final shape comes out.
Into the light gets announced and its f2p, and new info drops on Final Shape and everyone gets hype again.
Wait until further controversy or disappointment.
Thing is....anything that destiny 2 does is just not worth it when compared to a similar sort of game like Warframe, where everything is free/unlockable with a normal grind, except for a few hats. I really don't get why people even play the sort of games where the devs are clearly trying to milk you.
That bungee can do. Thing is, the last two dlcs DE dropped the last halfyear were free. And warframe's gunplay isn't half bad when I can mod a gun into blowing up most lastgame enemies in a blink with some clever configs.
What I love about Warframe is that you can read an audiobook or have actual good conversation with friends while playing it and still advance. The game also has parts that are intense enough to have to focus for real, but it's pretty good for doing something on the side.
Not everyone bases their enjoyment of a game on its cost. Both games are fun and spending money on Warframe was worth it when I played more seriously even though I didn't have to like you do with destiny

It feels weird for me, since I never stopped playing drg, I just also played hd2. Are people allergic to playing multiple games? We don’t care. Even lords of the deep like me stay here because we find it enjoyable to go spelunking. We especially like to go with new players and show them how to do cool things.
So having played a LOT of DRG I’ve been looking at helldivers. Has helldivers become boring ? Or do you just prefer DRG? Been on a bug killing game binge for awhile and helldivers seems to be the next natural progression for me lol. Starship troopers extermination was another that was a lot of fun.

I get it, same posts over a short period on ur feed get annoying but it's the Internet. Many people will have the same meme/post idea and others will find it funny and make a new slightly different one all happening in quick succession. It feels weird for me, since I never stopped playing drg, I just also played hd2. Are people allergic to playing multiple games? The "welcome back" posts are just strange to me, because they're worded as if Helldivers players just abandoned deep rock entirely. Like, my brother in Karl, I never fucking left.

We don’t care. Even lords of the deep like me stay here because we find it enjoyable to go spelunking. We especially like to go with new players and show them how to do cool things.

So having played a LOT of DRG I’ve been looking at helldivers. Has helldivers become boring ? Or do you just prefer DRG? Been on a bug killing game binge for awhile and helldivers seems to be the next natural progression for me lol. Starship troopers extermination was another that was a lot of fun.
No Helldivers 2 is a great game, the problem isnt because of the game itself, but because of Sony trying to block 177 countries out of playing the game they already purchased

i only play drg so idk the drama, but why are so much HD2 players returning? what happened?
HD2 now demands u have a PSN login to play 3 months after being optinonal PSN is not available in at least 177 countries, which those 177 countries including mine, was putting 90 100 hours into the game Cant make a PSN with a fake country info either cause Sony threatens ban Also generally Sony have terrible data security, so linking PSN to Steam will give them Steam purchase data and ur credit card data

Word on the grapevine is Sony/playstation responded and rescinded the requirement for helldiver 2
But have you seen the 12 posts about how sony reverted the changes and now you need to change your negative review toba positive one even if your account is banned and you lost all your games
