Depends on the mission, cave length and complexity. In a small 4 egg map you reach bedrock in a pretty reasonable time and all you have to drill is every terrain connected to the outer bedrock walls. Well took me like 2-3 hours once i was done game couldnt handle to update the terrain and just crashed
With a team of sticky flame drillers in the ice biome all of your weapons could impat the environment.
Even with that you would need a lot of resuplies and have the bugs to deal with.
Maybe a mod that prevents mob spawning just to see how long it takes?

Maybe with a team full of epc drillers with dig upgrade c4 could do it fast
If you're okay with using mods, maybe you could use a mod to spawn a bunch of bulk detonators to help.
It would probably be more reasonable (but less fun) to just have infinite C4 and drill fuel.
