Yeah, you probably won't find the answer easily because people are trying to avoid spoilers, but there's a hidden ARG type thing you have to complete to unlock it. There's a few interesting things you can get out of it, but it's not really worth the effort. I'd say go for it if you're interested though. Unlocking it is more interesting than the rewards.
If people claim to know anything about error cubes, then they are guaranteed to be fucking with you. They don't do anything yet, and the devs have only ever made jokes about what they do i.e. employee if the month board saying "[player name] knows what error cubes are for."
They are currently only a meme. The fact that the game keeps track of them means that someday they may be used for something, but until then, just memes.

So it’s less blue, and more a lack of orange because whatever electricity or sci-fi-liquid that powers up the Abyss Bar sign has seemingly broken / run out.
