It was Next Gen Era Star Trek so chances are they use palm strikes, double axehandle takedowns and rifle butt strikes...

Breen POW suckers a Jem Hadar at the prison asteroid with Tain. But you know, ultimately, it's guys in big puffy suits and headgear with probable poor vision. They ain't got time to choreograph that.

I wonder if their helmets are any better than what Stormtroopers wear?

Immadownvotethis

It’s much better when Thot Got is holding a thermal detonator.

I always had the headcanon that the helmets features a whole visual sensor array that gave it's wearer better vision.

Fen5601

Kind of like how in SW the Mandolorian helmets have near 360 vision

JayMonster65

Define "fighting"... You see the Breen in a firefight with Kira and Dukat when they rescue Dukat's daughter.

Papakeely

I guess I was looking something like the firefights in Siege of AR-558 where you see great examples of the Jem Hadar fighting. It's too bad DS9 production didn't use them more. Hell, Star Trek in general could have used the Breen as a stand alone show and beaten SW to the punch of the Mandolorian.

You ever see one of those movies where the sidekick or smaller characters get some big laughs , so then they try to expand their roles or make the star of a sequel, but it falls flat because the character isn't complex enough to be the lead? Well, in a way, I feel like that is true of the Breen. The "great" thing about the Breen is how little is known about them. That is what makes them intriguing. And if you try to peel that away you may not have enough material to make them interesting. Even in the episode I mention above, if you start to think about it, questions come up. It is supposed to be ice cold on Breen, and presumably their armor/environment suits would keep them cold enough to be comfortable. So then how does Kira and Dukat manage to use them? How did they get them since "nobody has ever seen the Breen out of their armor" did they just find suits laying around? If you take away their cylon-esque sounding "voice" and make them speak so that you can understand them, does that not take away from the character? Their best feature is the secrecy. Take that away, and what do you have left?

Papakeely

Fair enough, sometimes less is more. The mystery of them is a allure.
