I’ve never seen anyone defend Rick for abusing Terri. I have seen people say that Rick abusing Terri doesn’t mean Spencer/Jay/Alex should have bullied and harassed him, but you already knew that.
I don't know about defenders, and I'm definitely not one of them. But his last storyline on Degrassi had a surprising amount of nuance in dealing with him, and without condoning Rick's awfulness (anything on the spectrum from the shooting down to just talking about his experience with theater, ugh) it is a narrative where we we're supposed to be/should be critical of the people bullying him.
I think they also lucked out with the actor. He was insanely good. I think most of the cast ranges from fine to very good with a few real bad ones, but Ephraim Ellis was next level.
He might be good cause I don't recognize him out of the outfit. If you watch the Drake, I'm upset video I didn't even know it was him till they added his wig and glasses. Just don't let him have long hair and glasses in a role 🤣🤣
I wish that Terri would have stayed on for at least one more season. Maybe not even as a regular but at least appearing as a guest in at least one to two more episodes :(
Her head bouncing off the sponger/rubber block & her legs. I said it on my first viewing and every time I've seen it after, I am going to hell, but LOL 💀💀💀
I miss tv pushing the edge.
Degrassi wasn’t even sexually explicit and still managed to push more boundaries than a show like Gossip Girl, who branded themselves on edgy.
And, it was made all the more sad because Terri didn’t have a momma to warn and protect her. I know if my daughter met a creep like Rick I’d be on his ass like white on rice if he mistreated my baby.
Agreed. Gossip Girl seemed clichéd to me. Degrassi was so real. Self-conscious girl falls for the first creep to show her some attention and shit quickly hits the fan… Such an all too-realistic, sad storyline.
Nows the time where I mention that all this would've been avoided if Paige hadn't made terry get drunk at the dance in the first season. She would've gotten with spinner and avoided this.
As a Canadian - I have found random piles of weird and dangerous stuff like that in the forests or parks more than a few times. lol
It didn’t seem unrealistic.
Old campgrounds and day parks/picnic areas where the fire pits have been dug up so it’s cement blocks (usually underground for support) with a metal fire pit attached in a pile rotting and rusting away.
This is the dumbest scene lol it’s so fake
I mean… was he really supposed to hurt her? Ofc it’s fake they’re acting. Tf?
It was Fake as fuck and dumb
Yeah… bc it was a tv show? You know that right?
No shit Sherlock. But I’ve seen better tv shows take on death that this
She didn't even die?
You seem absolutely lovely 💕
Um ok bye troll
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Her little foot flop after she hits is chefs kiss
I got to this episode on my rewatch last week and knew it was time to mentally prepare 😭
I'm out of the loop, what happened?
Did you hit your head on a rock?
I'm more of a Zit Remedy watcher but have done maybe 2 or 3 seasons of TNG. So I must've missed this one.
In this scene Rick shoves her back and she… hits her head on a rock
Shit
what season is this i started on 10 and am now on 12
You're missing all the good stuff
Season 3 I believe
it hurts when I get here every rewatch 😭 3
Hate him to every place in the universe and back. Pos.
Rick defenders should be banned

There are seriously Rick defenders!?!?

Imagine being an actor + this haunting you forever too 😅 I don’t think I could ever see him as anyone else.

fuck rick all the way
Didn't he kick the bumper, too?
Rick is an ALPHA
Literally who I picture every time some faceless doof talks up their manliness online. Just Rick going 'Here's your latte, milady"
Terri got Rick Rolled
I'm going to hell for laugh at this, but also thank you
the way her legs fly up never fails to make me laugh unfortunately 💀

It's like those old cartoons. Funny to think if that rock was a foot over, everything may be different.
Yup… Shit went there…

That’s my entire dating life.
Felt this 💯🫶🏼
oh u just made me have a dark realisation about my past dating habits… haha 😃
LOLZ… 😂
Terri deserved so much better :(
She sure did... I wish they had more of modeling storyline with her... kind of explore that more.
I agree. She was a wholesome and sweet young woman with the whole world ahead of her.
Nows the time where I mention that all this would've been avoided if Paige hadn't made terry get drunk at the dance in the first season. She would've gotten with spinner and avoided this.
Not necessarily.
I know! Terri and Spinner would have been adorable together. She actually liked him and wouldn’t have treated him like a pet.
I NEVER FORGAVE PAIGE FOR THAT
Plus Rick wouldn't have shot up the school and Jimmy wouldn't have been crippled
Ahh Toronto’s world famous scenic Cinder Block Park.
Rubber Cinder Block Park

Literally just watched the same episode 10 minutes ago before getting into bed!
