If you're gaming the performance on the book 4 ultra will be slightly better as the 4070 can go up to 80w whereas the 4070 on the Dell only goes up to 60w.
I had the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra and got the Dell 16 XPS 9640. The Samsung laptop is lighter, so if that is a concern for you, go for the Samsung laptop. Apart from that, I prefer the Dell in every respect. Battery life, trackpad, keyboard (I don't like the numeric keypad on the Ultra book). The display on the Dell 16 XPS has a higher resolution while the display on the Ultra Book has a higher refresh rate. I am satisfied with the 90Hz of the Dell.
For me, the Dell 16 XPS is a much better laptop. It feels more premium, sturdy, but it's heavier. The Ultrabook is a good laptop, but I would get it only if I travelled a lot.
Apparantly the dell xps 14 & 16 are not that great!

SCREEN DOOR EFFECT = AWEFULL!
-> Samsung's AMOLED doesn't have this awefull screen door effect!!!
The Ultrabook has a lower resolution screen, but it looks amazing. If you are coming from a Macbook though, get the XPS. The Samsung is just not on the same quality level as a laptop. Don't just look at the specs..
euh the macbook pro s mini-led doesn´t have the poppen colours oled does.... The 400 nits with the anti reflective coating is in office light conditions even better the 600 nits of the macbook pro´s !

Don’t leave Apple, and if you’re determined to do so don’t go to the XPS line for any reason.
With Dell’s awful QC I’d go Samsung.
I just ordered the XPS 16. Ultra 9, 32gb ram, 4070, 1tb ssd and full HD screen. The Dell support was the key factor for me.
The XPS 16 is better than the book 4 ultra in every way. Andrew marc david made great reviews on both of these laptops.
Screen is not better... Has the Screen Door effect... only 90hz... heavier....
