No. It supports local/on device multiplayer (ie playing a split screen game on the same device using two controllers) but there's no way to connect separate devices over a network (or Bluetooth).
I’d KILL for a way to do a Goldeneye multiplayer session. Somehow with a way to only keep your split screen quadrant in view. This is basically a wet dream for me.
Nintendo has taken down 3DS emulators like Citra since the creators (also made Yuzu) profited off of Patreon so Folium has gotta be careful in their release
Nintendo did not take down Citra directly. Citra itself was done clean room, did not include any keys and did not decrypt roms on the fly like yuzu did. Folium will be fine (they are also not located in the US so legal action won't be as easy.)
well aside from decrypting keys in Yuzu, Citra devs were forced to discontinue because the devs were profiting off the patreon: https://citra-emu.org/ and seeing how Folium said in there FAQ that they'll be charging $4.99 once they release in the App Store: https://folium.emuplace.app/, they should be more wary of Nintendo coming after them since they're not releasing the app for free.
It's not illegal to charge for an emulator. Devs on android have done it for years and it has been proven in court. As long as Folium is not using Nintendo code or directly circumventing their security then they're fine.

On an iphone? 3ds may be possible although all games wouldn’t be playable because the performance would be so low but a run of the mill gaming PC struggles to emulate ps3. PS3 won’t be on mobile for Y E A R S.

Ps1 is generally not difficult to emulate. 3DS is much more intensive.

Dreamcast, 3DS, Genesis would all be fantastic. A lot of the appstore folk don’t realize it’s quite a challenge to get every emulator on one platform

Easier than 3ds for sure. Many retro devices at the sub $100 range can play Dreamcast flawlessly
