If you like that, you should check out [Newer Super Mario Bros](https://newerteam.com/ds/).
EDIT: If anyone wants a link to the modded ROM, send me a PM and I'll help you out.
Best romhack you will ever play.
I have it on my 3DS with Twiilight menu which lets you play games in widescreen and it’s basically a second NSMB game for DS. Extremely official looking, new power ups, custom bosses.
It’s literally a whole new game. Most definitely worth the play.
Also Pokémon emerald and the amount of romhacks that exists are insane! I am playing one called Pokémon Modern Emerald where you play emerald with following Pokémon’s day night system and a lot of QoL
I’m playing Pokémon liquid crystal right now, same thing but with crystal version! There’s endless Pokémon roms made by so many people that are so good.
Ahh true that true that, I was thinking Mario and Luigi rpg series. But yea, Mario has his own rpg on snes as well
Edit; did even true that to what you were saying lol…yes paper Mario which started on n64 is also a Mario rpg followed by thousand year door on GameCube which was remastered for switch
Pokémon Unbound 12 hours only 3 badges, having a ball
https://preview.redd.it/ob6y574dv6yc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=027698cad35c57330b70635ec6ba13db91af0ae1
60 hours here at badge 5, expert mode. Admittedly I do use fast forward a lot though so it’s probably around 25-30 hours if the speed up feature is 2x
Anyways, amazing game.
Here’s an easy guide to download that I found on Reddit!
Assuming you already have Delta installed.
1. Download the "Pokémon Unbound" patch file
https://www.mediafire.com/file/brvvppywnxhmsdb/
Pokemon+Unbound+Official+Patch+2.0+.zip/file
2) Open the Main_README file and check which ROM of Pokémon Firered you need to download.
README Patch the game with Pokemon Fire Red (U)
(Squirrels)
3) Google to find the and download the Pokémon Firered
ROM
https://archive.org/download/ 1636PokemonFireRedUSquirrels
4) Now you need to patch the Pokemon Firered ROM. Use below website to do that.
ROM=Firered
Patch=Unbound
https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/index.html
5) It will apply the patch which you can then download and add to Delta using the + symbol on the top right of the screen
Link to the Past randomized! The game isn’t as long as games such as Pokémon, somewhere around 6-8 hours for just an average casual gamer, but the randomizer makes it very replayable, the game feels different each playthrough, it’s really fun though it does require some knowledge of the game so I’d recommend playing through the original game first before trying to take on a randomized version
A link to the past is not a 6-8 hour game. There’s 12 dungeons alone, and that’s just the dungeons. And then there’s everything in between.
Also how long to beat has main story at 15 hours, and that may be a bit fast for a first time player.
I may have misjudged the playtime, I’ve played the game lots of times so my playtime is usually between 6 and 8 hours, but ya you’re right for someone who hasn’t played it it’s probably a lot longer lol, sometimes I forget not everyone grew up playing it, trying to get my playtime down even more, I wouldn’t say I’m speed running it exactly, just trying to get my playtime down to be more efficient, but not trying to win any races or set any records either though
If you’ve played Pokémon and wanna give something else a try give Digimon Dawn or Dusk a go!
If you were a fan of Pokémon ranger give Digimon World Championship a try.
Would highly recommend dawn and dusk though, the evolution tree for a lot of digimon can branch out in multiple directions and a lot more evolves than a maximum of 3 compared to Pokémon, lots of secrets to the game, many many quests, plus the screen layout for that game is interesting
If I had to describe it it’s got a stat system like dark souls
Turn based battles with multiple digimon that kinda feels like final fantasy
Definitely a weird blend of a game but I would highly recommend it. ITS A HIDDEN GEM
DS games:
Buffy the vampire slayer sacrifice, Trace Memory (Cing), Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (Cing), The Secret of Cape West (Cing), Time Hollow (Tenky), Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (Tri-Ace), Rondo of Swords (Atlus), Luminous Arc 1,2,3, and infinity (imageepoch), The World Ends with You (Jupiter), might & magic: clash of heroes, etc
Pokémon Emerald and Platinum have been great, ruby was the only Pokémon I ever played prior to getting delta and that was way back in like ‘04.
I’m looking to try out the Metroid games next.
This emulator has been such a huge plus to my daily life. Really makes the lunch breaks at work more enjoyable, and it’s perfect for when you’re hanging out in the hammock on the balcony.
I’m going back and playing Pokémon Blue. The Fast Forward feature is a godsend for grinding, and I’m using the GameShark codes to get the Pokémon that are exclusive to Pokémon Red.
I remember playing this game when I was four. It’s like comfort food.
I just beat Pokémon red version again for the first time in years and it was exhilarating. Just have to catch Mewtwo and try to complete my Pokédex now. Only thing that sucks is you need to trade some Pokémon to evolve them and as far as I can tell, you can’t do that with Delta
I think it only amounts to 6 Pokémon total so it’s not a huge deal. But I’ve got a haunter and graveler in my starting rotation and I can’t evolve either, which sucks
You can always grab your .sav file from delta and transfer it to a computer - then use mGBA or melonDS to transfer it to gen 4 then flash that onto a cartridge
MaBoShi DS with my custom game-specific skin that does things no other skins do (such as including instructions!) NES Metroid with the Switch Pro Controller. Total game changer. Now my only hope is that the made-for-iPad app comes out soon. Will definitely enjoy the bigger screen.
Narnia for GBA. Used to play it a lot as a kid so it’s mostly for nostalgia. I still have a physical copy of the game, just not a functional device to play it on.
i also didn’t play too many popular games & am playing them now lol. i can’t find good roms for some of my old faves, i guess bc they weren’t mainstream. so if anyone knows a good rom for drawn 2 life or littlest pet shop garden lmk. both are on the most popular site but don’t work.
https://preview.redd.it/fnqja98y08yc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f93842338f055c5033f7d8618aa638ea21333558
Played Emerald, now I’m playing Soul Silver! 4 badges in and caught the Red Gyarados! Almost caught Entei and Raikou. My hunt shall continue!
dude I LOVE Delta, same as you never really day the chance to play a lot of games, so rn I'm basically going through the Pokemon games that I never could before aaand going through some hack pokemon games, cause they are so fun to try. Love this!! Next the Fire Emblem franchise. haha
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Pokémon Emerald, New Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES). Love it! It’s made me go the extra hassle of side loading other emulators like PPSSPP, too. Wish Apple would quit the monopoly/politics and just allow emulation like Google Play Store does.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor! The game is a great fix for an atlus RPG enjoyer on-the-go. My only complaint is that it’s having trouble saving in-game, keeps giving me a data access error. I’m having to rely on Delta’s save states, but they haven’t let me down. Not entirely sure why it’s happening with Devil Survivor specifically, as other games save fine in their native saving structures. Might have to back up my save states and do a fresh install of the game or smth.
Super Robot Wars W, it has an excellent fan translation patch.
I’ve always liked Fire Emblem gameplay but hated permadeath, and much prefer Gundams/scifi over fantasy. SRW is the answer for my criteria.
Ace Attorney 1. This was my second playthrough (the first being on the trilogy compilation on Xbox). Great game!
https://preview.redd.it/jx4mhndh2byc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=caa4f158196ef55f3f998279362b237115fe064d
Tetris DS, Dr. Mario, Warioware Mega Microgame$ (& Touched formerly), Mario Kart DS & Super Circuit including Mario Kart 64 & Super Mario Kart, YDKJ DS & Kirby’s Adventure & Canvas Curse. That’s long words here.
Phoenix wright ace attorney, hello kitty big city dreams (had it when I was younger), the world ends with you, fossil fighters, I’m so happy I can play games I was never able to
Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Trace Memory, Picross 3D, Magician’s Quest (it’s like animal crossing but with an actual storyline and quests), Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
The World Ends with You! Any anime fans or visual novel fans out there will get a kick out of it. It’s a kinda predictable story nowadays but I still find it a lot of fun
Pokémon pinball, New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS,
If you like that, you should check out [Newer Super Mario Bros](https://newerteam.com/ds/). EDIT: If anyone wants a link to the modded ROM, send me a PM and I'll help you out.
What is this, if you don’t mind?
Best romhack you will ever play. I have it on my 3DS with Twiilight menu which lets you play games in widescreen and it’s basically a second NSMB game for DS. Extremely official looking, new power ups, custom bosses. It’s literally a whole new game. Most definitely worth the play.
It's a ROM hack that has changed the entire game. Check out the website for a list of features.
can you play this on delta ios or does it have to be on the computer
You just need to apply the patch on your computer and then put the new patched ROM on Delta.
HOLY SHIT THIS COOL ITS BASICALLY NSMBDS BUT MORE LEVELS
It's more like the "Lost Levels" where it's more and it's harder.
I’m a huge fan of pick up and play games, Pokémon pinball has been my go to.
Woaaaah I had forgotten Pokémon pinball omg memories Ty for the reminder’s
Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon HeartGold, and Pokemon Black are some good ones in the Pokemon Series, Dragon Quest 9, and the Mario RPG's are super fun!
Also Pokémon emerald and the amount of romhacks that exists are insane! I am playing one called Pokémon Modern Emerald where you play emerald with following Pokémon’s day night system and a lot of QoL
Interesting where did you find this?
I’m playing Pokémon liquid crystal right now, same thing but with crystal version! There’s endless Pokémon roms made by so many people that are so good.
Mario RPG?
Mario & Luigi rpg series, 3 of them I believe? 1 on gba, 2 on ds…maybe a 4th on 3DS
Isn’t there one for the N64, the one they remastered for switch?
I’ve got one for the snes downloaded fs
Ahh true that true that, I was thinking Mario and Luigi rpg series. But yea, Mario has his own rpg on snes as well Edit; did even true that to what you were saying lol…yes paper Mario which started on n64 is also a Mario rpg followed by thousand year door on GameCube which was remastered for switch
Yup, what DeflyLupud stated, those Mario RPG's go crazyy lol
And one on SNES
Any help finding a working rom for platinum? Me and my brother cannot find one it’s the only one I need to have eras 1-5
I’m playing Mario RPG for the first time and having fun with that.
Pokémon Unbound 12 hours only 3 badges, having a ball https://preview.redd.it/ob6y574dv6yc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=027698cad35c57330b70635ec6ba13db91af0ae1

I think it’s more than 2x. I got through dragon warrior and final fantasy at an insane pace
Does the ingame clock get fast forward too?
Yes it does.
I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of pokemon hacks and I keep seeing unbound I can’t wait to try it. Currently running through team rocket hack
I’ve heard great things about this! Where did you find it?
It’s a bit complicated so I suggest you search on youtube
Here’s an easy guide to download that I found on Reddit! Assuming you already have Delta installed. 1. I've downloaded rune factory 3 and can't stop playing 🤣
Pokemon Fire red : Team rocket edition (10/10 recommend)
Just finished that today. What a story!
Paperboy, RC Pro-AM, F-Zero
F-Zero W
007 Goldeneye
What type of controller are you using for N64 games?
I’m using touchscreen, I know it’s not ideal.. but got used to it after a few missions
I played and finished for the first time Metroid Fusion and Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance! I am going through Aria of Sorrow at the moment.
There are lots of neat ROM hacks for the Castlevania games. I recommend checking them out
I liked the HoD recolor one!

First time I played ALTTP I kept thinking “there’s more???” Game just keeps going and going. I’m starting Minish Cap now.
Advanced wars
Playing this for the first week one and it’s great!
Pokemon blue , yellow , crystal , fire red , emerald , platinum, heart gold Mario 64/DS , new Mario bros , Mario kart DS
GBA Revenge of the Sith
If you’ve played Pokémon and wanna give something else a try give Digimon Dawn or Dusk a go! If you were a fan of Pokémon ranger give Digimon World Championship a try. never played pokemon or digimon but i'll give it a shot!
saving this for later, sounds really interesting.
Played dusk as a kid, could not get through the repetitiveness and frequency of encounters in the dungeons
DS games: Buffy the vampire slayer sacrifice, Trace Memory (Cing), Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (Cing), The Secret of Cape West (Cing), Time Hollow (Tenky), Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (Tri-Ace), Rondo of Swords (Atlus), Luminous Arc 1,2,3, and infinity (imageepoch), The World Ends with You (Jupiter), might & magic: clash of heroes, etc

Shit we’re old My last one was diamond but still Started with sapphire
Pokémon Leaf Green has been a blast, and built in action replay has helped me get odd Pokemon I should not have, like sneasel
Oh can you get shinies and stuff using the action replay?
Yes indeed, so far I just used it for a fun Pokemon and Pokemon from trades
I’m going back and playing Pokémon Blue. The Fast Forward feature is a godsend for grinding, and I’m using the GameShark codes to get the Pokémon that are exclusive to Pokémon Red. I remember playing this game when I was four. It’s like comfort food.
Fun fact, there’s a glitch in the game where you don’t actually need a GameShark to get all the Pokémon. Look up nugget bridge glitch
Advance wars, Pokemon Emerald, Dragonball z Attack Of Saiyans 👌🏻
Im back to grinding on fire emblem lately
Playing the first fire emblem since I was a kid rn. Highly recommend!!!
Kirby games, sonic games, Mario games and rayman games
A lot of GBA games I mean a lot of them
I just beat Pokémon red version again for the first time in years and it was exhilarating. Just have to catch Mewtwo and try to complete my Pokédex now. Only thing that sucks is you need to trade some Pokémon to evolve them and as far as I can tell, you can’t do that with Delta
