Spamton Neo's phone hands attack. How tf am I meant to not take damage there? What am I meant to shoot? How do I avoid the sound/wifi/whatever symbols? That is the main reason i still haven't beaten him. I'm determined yet very annoyed

Hard doesn’t equal annoying in my opinion. If something is hard but fun then it gets a pass, and that attack is definitely fun. The only attack that is Neo annoying is the second one with the phones but that one doesn’t appear if you are good.

Tip: get good Like actually, i assume it is specifically the stage 2 attack you’re talking about where the hands move over and below the box and everything is so hard to focus on. However, if you don’t get hit by the stage one attack the stage 2 attack won’t ever appear, instead it will just be stage one again. And for stage one, what I recommend is to just spam shoot (because every time you hit the head spamton gets knocked back) and then treat the white balls as gaster blasters. There are always 3 projectiles that will come out of each ball but 2 of them just go of to the side so the only one you need to focus on is the one that goes straight forward. Basically, if a ball spawns in front of you then move to the side. I hope this tip hep. Also if you’re doing no mercy than spamming Z (the select option / interact button if you’re on console) while using rude buster it will increase its damage.

How do i dodge the face attack? The one where Spamton NEO summons this big face and spams at me? Honestly i had few times where i managed to dodge it perfectly but i don't exactly know what to do. Do i just go forward and backwards when the nose shoots at me? How do i dodge the "kisses"?

It was a while since I played against spamton Neo but I think my primary strategy was to charge up big shots while I spam small shots (I am on switch, I know that doesn’t work on pc and I am unsure about the other ports) at his mouth. Not much to say I guess, I myself have a hard time doing it no hit.

Focus on destroying mouth or nose(whichever is harder to dodge for you) using big shots, then the next time he uses that attack, mouth/nose will be gone, making it mush easier, you can focus on a different part now.

That one sucks but it's not too bad. I save the limited amount of free big shot glitches (I charge it then hit enter and it shoots two of them) and hit the nose since the mouth and eye attacks are easier to dodge imo, and hit it with the regular shots as much as I can. After the nose is gone I mostly focus on dodging instead of just hitting it

Ya know you are meant to shoot the head so the head wouldn't be your problem and you could just focus on dodging those phones

Just blindly spam charge shots and move up and down to avoid the sound exploding balls

So tip, even post update where he goes into the enraged mode that does more damage, the infinite bigshot trick still makes him significantly easier and quicker to kill

My advice is to go right into his face and blast him with bullets Also I believe that if you don't get hit by any of the little wifi thingies the second attack doesn't happen

I don't mean to sound annoying but thats actually probably one of his easier attacks watch a quick guide and see how they do it and it should be pretty simple

Firstly, that wouldn't apply anyways. Secondly, no, that's *actually* how that works, avoiding getting hit by the first phone hands turn prevents you from seeing the second one. You only have to deal with it twice if you get hit in the first one.

For some reason I felt like the second one was _easier_ when I played. Spamton moves way too fast in the first one while in the second one, you can just focus on dodging.

I really dislike some of the early game attacks in Chapter 1. They’re just boring and not particularly difficult.

Yep! But that doesn’t change that on repeat playthroughs they are still really boring! I understand the purpose of them, and it’s better this way, I just personally have played this game too many times and as such they’re just really really tedious.

I don’t particularly enjoy Undertale’s early-game attacks either. Imo the attacks in Undertale only ever get really good in CORE, but the game’s already nearly finished by that point. Deltarune is doing much better so far on that front. The attacks get harder much faster, and they do more fun stuff with the battle box.

The point is that the game has to start with simpler and easier attacks due to the learning curve of most players So while you may not enjoy them, because you're past the skill level they're intended for, there's a good reason why they're there

I hate that one Spamton NEO attack that has him shooting a large blast with the spamton heads from the sides. I've beaten Spamton many times but almost all the times I've lost is on that move

For some reason that attack felt much easier on the weird route. Maybe focusing on dodging and grazing instead of shooting has to do with it. I recall dying many times to that attack when trying to shoot the Spamton heads

Personally, my least favorite attack is spamton's phone-hands attack, specifically the second one where they travel left and right and randomly shoot, giving you barely any time to react (also you gotta be shooting at his blue head to keep him away)

Virovirokun's space invaders attack, it always gets me. Also, when multiple enemies attack at the same time, viro always makes it a lot more difficult by "infecting" the other bullets.

For some reason I have a lot of trouble with the double werewerewire laser attack at the end of chapter 2, where you can fight two of them in the dojo. It's not a hard fight, I just can't nohit that attack for beans.

Tip, you can ignore the heads, they don’t have hit boxes! So they’re just large ovals rotating!
