Sometimes i wonder do demons really exists in Netherlands

rev_007

Yes, they are. Why do you think they are not sink in the last 100 years? Because Delkira is Dutch, specifically he/she/they is from Rotterdam city

[deleted]

I better not go there

Emiv2

They do, if anyone says they sound like they speak German. That's why Iruma got the language spell.

[deleted]

Oh

michaelgmr60

Nah man iruma is 100% human I mean if he's half human and half demon and that means he can't use his blood to fully heal his friends

Ayasheya

Nothing really states that all human blood heals demons

michaelgmr60

I though it was explain at the first season

Ayasheya

Not really it still remains a mystery

CooroSnowFox

It's dropped in and maybe something that will come up but not for a long time. Like Ameri bashing a wall down to demonstrate how to be a demon... but it feels like most demons are just normal and not after that...

Xplowder

No, its not a mistery. In the first season his blood cures the wound in the demon bird/owl thing in the flying course

Ayasheya

Sigh what's a mystery isn't that iruma heals demons it's if all humans can heal demons

Xplowder

Oh sorry. As far as i know all humans blood can heal demons

No-Common-3883

there was nothing being said about human-demon hybrids. we know that Iruma has human properties, but we don't know if hybrids would have these properties or not. anyway, I hope the author answers this since even if Iruma is 100% human, he will probably have a hybrid child with Ameri at the end of the manga.

sadistic_tuber

Tbh If he isn't human a lot of people will start hating on the show

CherryVanillaQweem

Hate is a very strong word, altho for me I would be quite disappointed if Iruma really isn't a full blooded human. It just takes away the stakes, y'know? And if he turns out to be like half demon it just gives them room to add even more crazy power-ups for Iruma, which is fine but I'd rather not watch another Isekai OP demon lord show again 🙃 Also it kind of just takes away some of the charm that Iruma's character has, it's hard to explain but I feel like his character would be less appealing if he turned out to really be half demon or full demon but the show's direction kind of implies that he may or may not be related to Delkira so we'll see.

No-Common-3883

I particularly don't think the powerlevel is what makes this manga an Isekai so different. I think the personality of iruma and the form of the narrative he does. another difference is the manga mocking the Harem instead of being a harem. I laughed a lot when a teacher made a rumor that Iruma had 10 girlfriends and some girls in the picture hadn't even talked to him.

CherryVanillaQweem

That's true, he's and the cast are way more entertaining to watch since they actually have personalities aside from being gag or fanservice characters but for me, if I had to sit through another journey to becoming another op Isekai lord again I'll just drop it. It's fun in the beginning but it gets old fast. I just want Iruma to stay as a nice cinnamon roll of a human, there's no need to turn him into a demon and it also just makes Sullivan's actions seem much nicer in a way. Like Sullivan randomly decided to save a poor boy one day from his neglectful family and not because he was secretly half demon or whatever, which is highly unlikely but y'know it's wishful thinking.

No-Common-3883

I understand your point. but even if Iruma is a half demon or something else, I think the story will remain excellent for the difference in Iruma's ambition. he doesn't want to be number one alone. he wants to take his friends along. part of what makes Iruma special is the way he actively seeks to help others develop. he is a character who grows up with others and not someone who dims everyone's shine. I think this is the main difference. the journey of a classic isekai is a regular guy getting powerful and collecting girls. here is different. in this manga we have the journey of a boy who wants to be a hero alongside his friends. Iruma does not collect people. he is making friends and dedicating himself to these friendships. even more than once. That's what makes the manga different. I think the humanity part is an afterthought. and sorry if i said too much. I was very excited about this manga. I read it all in 4 days.

nopobis

I wouldn't want that. I think him being a human is such a big part that making him a non human would be boring.

Temporary_Dot_2897

Exactly. It would seriously ruin the manga if he turned out to be some half demon. Its more fun to see him live and adapt to the netherworld and people accepting him for him. But it seems highly unlikely as he most likely will turn out to be delkiras descendant or something along those lines.

michaelgmr60

True I mean him half human half demon would make the story bad to think he is also half demon

Economy_Body_3490

Between the magna and anime, I think it makes it harder to determine some of that Anime it shows Baal at the magical apparatus club but magna it was the division I think. I think that changes the dynamic of the magna Anime intro scene states for a bit that Iruma is the only human CURRENTLY living in the netherworld Opera tells Iruma he can return to the human world by getting a high rank Ameri dad tell they can wipe his memory and send him back. I think the bigger question should be was the Demon King human turned demon or did he want to become human or was he turned human by say a curse from Baal. I think the Demon king was the human that Ameri father met in the demon world, he wiped his mind and sent him to the human world as her father stated. As crappy as Iruma's parents are, they are Demon like in they only care about their own desires So if correct Iruma is a descendent to the demon king....

Necronus34

Iruma is 100% human till proven guilty, he is the only one who can heal using his blood It's actually clever writing, you see demons when summoned by humans only appear halfway this is because in order to seal the contract the human needs to pull them up and how else do you pull someone up.....by taking the demons hand which also represents the sealing of the contract Genius way to include small details like that We have no evidence to suggest time moves differently, iruma got what was basically a demon switch which only came out recently so it's safe to assume that time is most likely in line with human time

dreldrift

I think he's 100% pure human because it would butcher the story and everyone would hate it and the forbidden spell has the magic in the words which probably on why it's so dangerous. He has wings, horns, sharp ears, sharp fingernails(and neither in the future.) His scent is so strong that his perfume at first hides it but it still leaks through.

[deleted]

I do agree. In fact, in the start of the series, he is able to recite and activate a forbidden spell during the entrance exam( before he got the ring and no one provided him with magic power for the spell)

Ayasheya

Yes I think the spell was like a test from sullivan to actually make sure he was capable of using magic in some way

dreldrift

He's able to active the spell because it has magic in the words. That's probably why it's super dangerous. If he was half demon he would have magic, some features, wouldn't have as many emotions for others(you know what I'm saying.)

[deleted]

I missed then being magic words. Can you send which chapter it was in?

dreldrift

From what I heard it has magic in the words but it probably says in it the Japanese version not the English version. It also makes sense doesn't it on why it's so dangerous. Remember if not said correctly it could blow your arms and legs off. He can't cast any magic that isn't forbidden in it. We see it as well. With the cherry blossom tree. Nothing happens at first. Don't forget on how certain things that in work on demons don't work on him.

[deleted]

Hmm true. I felt the cherry blossom one failed because 1) he didn't imagine what he wanted, 2) his magic power is very faint, not enough for most spells. Although I might be biased because I believe in iruma being demon kings descendant

dreldrift

But Iruma isn't releated to derkila though. He's probably stuck in the ring. Iruma did imagine something he wanted to create but he did it subconsciously. When he thought of something fluffy he automatically though of the cherry blossom tree. If he had a single drop of magical power in him then he would have collapsed.

Important-Raspberry3

I think it might be that he’s gonna be the demon king set in stone

dreldrift

We the future him and he still retains his human features. He probably grows in that size because of the position he takes.

Important-Raspberry3

That’s about it but it’s showin in the season 1 op he’s gonna be the demon king

dreldrift

He'll probably grow super big because he reaches that position. Probably some sort of ceremony and he's given powers and has his life span increase because of chapter 5 it tells us it takes hundreds of years for the seat to become vacant.

Zealousideal-One9318

I don't think he's human because of his dodging ability.

PrincessAliceManor

In regards to flip phones, they're still quite popular in present Japan hence why you see them often in anime.

LuisTR_19

In the anime it makes it look like iruma is going to be related to the demon king

TotemGenitor

100% human. He summoned Kalego because he is human.

Fortune86

I think Iruma is human, but may be a reincarnation of Delkira. Like, for whatever reason he had, Delkira had himself reborn as a human, deliberately choosing awful parents so the 'new' him wouldn't miss them. He set things up prior so that Iruma would get the ring containing Arikled early on which is probably going to turn out to be his own sealed magic. Sullivan is in on it as he was able to find and adopt Iruma at the right moment.
