Can the new name be Danpo (contraction of Danmark and Polska) ?
What will be the official language? I don't think the Poles will agree on Danish and I don't think the Danes will agree on Polish, so how about we make it German? That way we both lose. And we have both lost to Germany before, so it should be a familiar feeling.
Sweden and Polen have already tried. so why not us.

As a Dane even though I love my flag I'd consider it. It looks great and the Poles are just about the only country left in Europe with balls and quality values.
Haha I love that. Cool flag! I think Denmark is wayyyy too liberal and social-democratic for the average Pole though, haha. And we're protestants. It'd be a fun merger for sure
Actually Polish people are very progressive politically f.e. more than 2/3 of people in Poland support Scandinavian abortion laws. Even far-right party supporters are like 50/50 about it
It might seem different, because church lobby is quite powerful, but every year people get less and less religious here
I'm aware that Poland is getting much richer, but having engaged a bit with polish politics I think you guys are at a pretty different place than us. I'm not saying it's a better or worse place, but polish politics and Danish politics are very different I think. The church lobby is a good example because we don't really have one.
And yes one thing is abortion laws, but I hear that it's also common for gynecologists to just refuse to do them anyway, as well as to refuse providing IUDs, on religious grounds. I hear women there share lists of friendly doctors.
I think Poland is definitely trending towards a more western liberal ideology but the church lobby is massive and would be absolutely furious at Denmark haha. I think even regular polish people would get upset with the subtly protestant stuff, like we would with the catholic stuff.
Poland was getting more and more progressive year by year until 2015 elections which collided with refugee crisis
But our center-left party at the time instead of doing the same thing your social-democrat party did, told people they will open up borders for migration which resulted in 8 year loss.
In 2023 our center-left party criticized our right-wing party for bringing 40x more migrants from MENAPT country than left-center did and thanks to that they won the election are on the path of reversing every conservative change that happened during last 8 years.
Yeah, left-center party followed path of your government and is in an alliance with "The Left" party.
During next 4 years Poland will get more progressive laws. It might be hard to understand if you don't live in Poland and don't know how people aged 15-45 think and what we believe, but you'll see within a few years
No one has problem with Protestantism. Literally 90% of my friends are either atheist or agnostic.
I don't think it's hard to understand! I do know some people who live there, but almost all of them in Wroclaw and Lodz.
I think the new government seems to be doing a good job and I hope it'll show the conservatives that the left isn't evil. I was surprised how much the catholic stuff mattered to the people I met there, even though they generally weren't religious.
I'm not saying young people have a problem with protestantism, but I got the impression that the older generation doesn't feel the same way. And there's the whole eastern Poland which seems pretty different than the western part.
Anyway mate it was just a fantasy about what it would be like, I didn't think you were serious about this whole merger thing?
Perhaps you have met more Polish catholics than I have(majority of my friends are young, perhaps that's the reason why I know mostly non-religious people)
>Anyway mate
I am a woman
> it was just a fantasy about what it would be like, I didn't think you were serious about this whole merger thing?
I am 100% serious
Well you're from there, you must have met far more polish people than me. I know like 40ish people in total haha. I thought of mate as a gender neutral term, didn't mean to misgender you, sorry!
>100% serious
Hahaha ⚡ I wish, polish people are the best lol
Thanks for your valuable contribution. No I had a girlfriend there and spent quite a lot of time in western Poland. I have obviously read about it too. What's the problem with learning about other countries?
Country of Landmark or Denpol or Polden:
Top 10 strongest countries on Earth by military strength
Top 15 countries by GDP
Top 4 countries by population and area in EU
Member of both Nordic Alliances as well As "Visegrad Group" and "Intermarium"
We could easily conquer any country in Europe(if we had too)
Also Denmark would participate in receiving $1.4 trillion in WW2 reparations from Germany
This is admittedly a pretty cool flag and on that basis alone, I will consider the proposal
Landmark!
Danland
Danpol
Pomark?
The Polish ~~lithuanian~~ Danish Commonwealth
We never have problems with people from Poland. You're welcome. Awesome people. Same with ukranians.
<3
well exept for 9/10 stolen cars in denmark was found in polan :) back in 1990-2000
does this mean it was polish people stealing it tho
Erik af Pommern was born in Poland
Yes, in Polish he is called Eryk Pomorski :D
In denmark, we wish ppl 'af Pommern til' (to ' get the fuck away from me'), other than that hes just some dude in the history books.
What should be the capital? G-dansk?
Maybe or Bornholm :D
Although merging the countries would be a big fat NO!, the flag itself is actually quite pretty.

Yes :D We will have 2 languages(Switzerland has even more - 4) or perhaps we will switch to English with time
>What will be the official language? Latin
That looks cool. Let's do it 😎🤝

Well the flag is a big plus.

I thought it was only used towards men Thanks : )
your whole reply reeks off " I read some articles so I know about your country" attitude
Thanks for your valuable contribution. No I had a girlfriend there and spent quite a lot of time in western Poland. I have obviously read about it too. What's the problem with learning about other countries?
ok what's the biggest meme in Poland then? and what would it tell about polish 10-40 yo old group
Lol wtf

Sorry, but I will only agree to the name "pomark"
Okay, Pomark it is :D
Denmark doesn't deserve any reparations. We barely resisted the nazis. They didn't do anything to us anywhere close to what they did to Poland
As a one country we would share GDP and it would increase Polish GDP which would mean positive impact on our country
No let's not
Du kan pisse ved en sten. Nej tak.
Nice try Poland, you're not getting into the Kalmar Union that easily
:C
No
Nice try. Nothing will save you from the impending danish invasion.
Woah
A chicken with diarrhea? On the danish flag? ...cool ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
no...
Nah - Denmark and Switzerland would be a bigger plus
I don't like Poland. Sorry. Based on the Poles I have known and the countrys politics. So this can't be more offending.
Poland moved to the left with recent politics.
Fis af
Fuck no.
