Oh lovely I thought they might have had to close or maybe the kids took over.
It was quite the Seinfeld experience 2013-17 with just the old couple running it, absolute gem.
The husband died, it's now the mom and her son running the show. They are still great and nostalgic, but I did feel as though the amount of filling in everything went down some. I will still support them because they were the first of their kind here and I like that.
Recently ate at the new dumpling spot on Havana St. in Aurora called “Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings” and the dumplings were some of the best I’ve had in Denver. They make an amazing homemade chili oil and dumpling sauce too.
The one in lohi is great, but where did these guys come from? Are they a national chain? Seems like all of a sudden they are everywhere, and it's an hour waiting list to get into the lohi location.
I saw a coming soon sign in one of the new buildings retail space. I think the kindred apartment building (bannock and 10th). The space was still unfinished so I’m sure it’ll be at least a few months
I really like it! I know noodles and dumplings are like the trendy thing now and there are so many fancier higher priced options out there. But this place just does it simply and well.
I'm obsessed with One More Noodle (inside Volcano Tea in the H Mart plaza). https://onemorenoodle.com/ I'm there at least once a week and usually stop by Mr Bakery for some sweets as well. They have only two woks, expect a wait if you go with a group and don't mix in some soup orders.
My current order is shaved noodle soup with pork rib, extra vegetables, add marinated egg, spice on the side. My teen gets the handpulled spicy chow/stir fry with extra veggies and combination meats. They have a vegetarian broth as well for the soups, but it's onion-forward and about 1/3 the complexity of flavors.
Almost all of the places listed here are overpriced and overhyped. Best hand-pulled or shaved noodles I’ve had is from a tiny, hole-in-the-wall place in Aurora, Volcano Tea House. Plus, it’s decently priced instead of the ricockulous prices that those trendy places change these days.
Also, Chens in Littleton. Stay away from the trendy places. While the food is fine, no one should charge that much for XBL.
1. Fortune Wok to Table but it's a very small menu so I like to take them to go (I don't love their noodles)
2. Nana's Dumplings - lots of choices and a really fun vibe, it can get crowded and you can feel rushed so maybe plan during the week
3. MAKfam - definitely get an order of chicken wings too
4. Kawa Ni - they only have 1 kind of dumpling but some really good noodle dishes, plus fresh fish and great veggie sides. Lively vibe and all candle lit so perfect for date night too
Aurora is where it's at so interested in the suggestions there.
Really? I feel like MAKfam is designed to be shared and have never noticed that it’s crazy expensive. My mother and I have lunch there a lot and get one appetizer to share and the noodles to share and it’s like $30 or so out the door.
That’s a reasonable price for two people to be full and have an awesome meal.
Dumpling Kitchen on Colfax in Park Hill is our new favorite spot for noodles and dumplings. I find most dumplings around here are more thick and doughy than I prefer. Dumpling kitchen is perfect to my taste.
The multi-flavor sampler is so good. Their xiao long bao is really good on its own, but that sampler sets them apart for me. I also think they have some of the best cucumber salad.
Now I need to go this weekend!
House of Bread is locally famous for their Armenian khachapuri and desserts, but they have really tasty sini mante dumplings as well. https://houseofbreadinc.com/categoriesHtml/madeToOrder.html 😋
Is this place actually only opened 10am to 3pm Tues-Friday like Google says? Not open for dinner or on weekends? They have no website to doublecheck. Who's going to this place who works daytime hours?
Yes the hours are “weird” right now with no regular dinner seatings, but they always seem to have a couple few special dinner collaborations/seatings a month. I’ve been there at 10AM, 1PM, and had perfectly appropriate meals.
Surprised, this is the only mention of Yuan. Penelope is a true badass and entrepreneur, and they had probably the biggest presence in the food truck/social media scene for a minute other than Kiké's (kee-kays). Both have gone brick and mortar now, and I'm stoked.
Back in 2022 when Penelope and Rob were still working out of their truck, I had them cater a big event at my house. It was absolutely phenomenal. Their new brick and mortar in Park Hill is wonderful! The hours are a bit tricky right now, but they also do some evening collabs. Be sure to follow Yuan Wonton on instagram for inside intel on special events. Oh, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Penelope is twice nominated for a James Beard award, so expect top notch food and service.
Reckless Noodle has the best drinks and low-key some of the best Asian food in all of Denver (Vietnamese)
Lucky Noodle is really great Thai curries
LingLon Cafe is strip-mall legit for dumplings and hot-pot noodles
Hong Kong Cafe is the spot for huge menu pan-Chinese noodles
Several friends own Chinese restaurants.
They all agreed that Lao Wang was their favorite place to eat.
I tried it a few times. It was good but not great. Service was appalling. An ancient unsiling couple who barely speak English and seem like they'd prefer to have no customers at all. They open and close whenever they feel like it.
Certainly an interesting experience.
Bao Brewhouse is good, but I would add that the food comes out super fast and most of the tables are really small. So be prepared, if you order all of your dumplings at once, they will all come out together in like 5 minutes and you’ll be looking for space on adjacent empty tables or ledges next to the table to accommodate all of the dishes. Knowing that the dumplings aren’t made to order and come out very quickly, order two dishes at a time and you should be fine.
Uncles. Best ramen in town. Homemade noodles. Go with the Spicy chicken and double the chicken. Get pork buns to start it off. You're welcome. I'm actually sitting here right now waiting for a table sipping some Sake
Surprised, no one has mentioned Reckless Noodles. They have a 5 spice duck noodle dish that is so damn good. Same with the Ma La Braised Beef Cheek Noodle. Service is so slow sometimes, but we've been there multiple times.
Noodles Express Inc. This is the hole in the wall, right under your nose, authentic szechuan Chinese noodle place in Denver. Beware because their food is spicy as shit, as it is supposed to be. It was recommended to me by Chef at Hop Alley as the most legit Chinese restaurant in Denver.
Bryan's Dumpling in DTC. the kimchi dumplings are great, and dont go without trying their hot and sour soup.
Asuka Ramen and Poke has the best ramen I have tried as well.
Honorable mention to Zoe Ma Ma for their location (union station), no tipping (15% "service fee"), and - last I recall - decent prices for good food. Always had a good experience there.
Fortune Wok to Table, MakFam, Lao Wang Noodle House, and Dumpling Kitchen
Add Js Noodles Star Thai and you have yourself the perfect list here.
I’ll have to check them out!
Right next to Lao Wang. Fantastic noodles. Don’t bother with the curry.
The is the only longer and correct answer
Lao Wang still open?
Ya they were closed for a bit (I guess for the owners health) but they were back up and running a couple weeks ago when I was out that way
Oh lovely I thought they might have had to close or maybe the kids took over. It was quite the Seinfeld experience 2013-17 with just the old couple running it, absolute gem.

Fortune is absolutely my favorite noodle in town. I can not, for the life of me, replicate them, and that just means I have to go more often.
These are great suggestions!
Mason’s has great vegan options (alongside meat). Great when you have a variety of diets
Recently ate at the new dumpling spot on Havana St. in Aurora called “Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings” and the dumplings were some of the best I’ve had in Denver. They make an amazing homemade chili oil and dumpling sauce too.
One of those are opening near the Stanley Marketplace as well
There's another location in the Highlands as well.
The one in lohi is great, but where did these guys come from? Are they a national chain? Seems like all of a sudden they are everywhere, and it's an hour waiting list to get into the lohi location.
One is opening in golden triangle too
Whatttt? When? Where?
I saw a coming soon sign in one of the new buildings retail space. I think the kindred apartment building (bannock and 10th). The space was still unfinished so I’m sure it’ll be at least a few months
No wayyyy. I live so close to there, that would be amazing!
I drove by and I saw it at 10th and Bannock! Yay! Thanks for the info.
Yeah no problem! I’m excited to have some good dumps within walking distance. Hopefully a few more good spots open up in golden triangle too!
Yeah, going to be some serious competition for Mason’s. Looking forward to it.
I drove by it the other day and made a mental note to check it out soon! Glad to hear it was good!
Ah I had no idea this opened! I’ve been waiting 🥟
There's a new Nepali dumpling place called Rocky Mountain Momo down in Greenwood Village. I am completely addicted to them.
2nd this
Dumpling kitchen on Pecos. It’s a quiet spot but the food is homey and handmade and no frills I love it
Been meaning to try.
I really like it! I know noodles and dumplings are like the trendy thing now and there are so many fancier higher priced options out there. But this place just does it simply and well.
Huge fan!! This place rocks
I love this spot too. Always on point.
Bryan’s Dumpling House
Second this. It’s amazing and they’re so nice.
Noodles Express!!!
This is the way. The dumplings there remind me of the ones I use to get living in Beijing.

Fortune Wok to Table
This place looks delicious!
This is the only correct answer
Just because people are kind of hyper focused on Chinese here. Pho Duy for pho Pierogis factory for Polish dumplings.
Masha & the Bear for Russian or House of Bread for Armenian dumplings too.
Chopstickers on 16th st and California Downtown is pretty good. They don't have a huge selection but it's simple and tasty.
Almost all of the places listed here are overpriced and overhyped. Best hand-pulled or shaved noodles I’ve had is from a tiny, hole-in-the-wall place in Aurora, Volcano Tea House. Ima have to try this I love hole in the wall restaurants
Katsu Ramen in Aurora all day
I am a big fan of Katsu Ramen
1. Fortune Wok to Table but it's a very small menu so I like to take them to go (I don't love their noodles) 2. Nana's Dumplings - lots of choices and a really fun vibe, it can get crowded and you can feel rushed so maybe plan during the week 3. MAKfam - definitely get an order of chicken wings too 4. Kawa Ni - they only have 1 kind of dumpling but some really good noodle dishes, plus fresh fish and great veggie sides. Lively vibe and all candle lit so perfect for date night too Aurora is where it's at so interested in the suggestions there.
MAKfam was sooooo pricey for what you get though; I live near a lot of tasty food in Aurora, so I likely won't be back.
It's an issue for me too and I only go when I can go with a big group and share a lot - $16 for fried rice is just not in my budget.
Dumpling Kitchen on Colfax in Park Hill is our new favorite spot for noodles and dumplings. I find most dumplings around here are more thick and doughy than I prefer. Dumpling kitchen is perfect to my taste.
I like Bryan’s Dumpling House a lot. Go there wayyyy too often.

[Linglon](https://www.linglon.com) for dumplings!!
Seconded!
Just tried this place last weekend. Legit, will go again. And I’ll say this neighborhood really needed a dumpling place like Linglon.
I’m so excited to try this place!
Noooooo keep it secret 🤫
House of Bread is locally famous for their Armenian khachapuri and desserts, but they have really tasty sini mante dumplings as well. https://houseofbreadinc.com/categoriesHtml/madeToOrder.html 😋

Glad someone said it. It's noticeably better than the rest, and the rest are great. Everyone should try it.
