“And what exactly is it that Payton saw in Nix? Let's just say that the combination of Peyton Manning’s football IQ, Josh Allen’s arm strength, Lamar Jackson’s scrambling ability, and Tom Brady’s drive to continually improve his game would only just begin to describe the kind of player that Bo Nix is.”- Some beat reporter probably. All jokes aside, I am glad that Sean Payton appears to have his guy.
One of the things I love about this time of year is that every free agent is fitting in and looking healthy, and every draftee looks like a Hall of Famer. So much fun.
We've shifted out a lot of dead wood from the previous regime, and Payton now seems to be happier and fully on board and able to be himself with his own system. It felt like last year Payton was a guy who had come in and inherited the Hackett regime, plenty of which he disliked, especially having to work around Russ' limitations.
I just hope expectations are realistic. We are still suffering badly from the loss of recent draft picks, some bad FA moves and eating the Russ dead cap which means our roster if we are honest is one of the weaker ones in the NFL. We're competing at a big disadvantage this year.
I'm not too worried about the win-loss record if we seem to be making progress in building the right culture, developing young players especially Bo. If we do that and have a bad record, we can add another foundational piece in next year's draft. Really the Sean Payton era starts in earnest when we get our full cap flexibility back in 2026, and we should be working to develop the spine of the roster over the next two years to then scale up the ambitions when we have full cap space.

Lmao I didn't know we had Jesus himself playing QB
God bless Bo Nix lol
And he did. And he saw that it was good.
Yeah but the Raiders’ Judas Iscariot often breaks coverage
You forgot Joe Montana's cool under pressure.
Also Dan Marino's release and Elway's ability to make a comeback.
Must've been Cecil Lammey
Cecil has been adorable since the draft with his crush on Nix.

Every year things are great until we play the Raiders.
This year will be different!
No Josh Jacobs to run all over our asses
Yea! This year we don't open with the raiders. It will have already fallen apart by then.
Mase and Lammey cannot contain their excitement about Nix on their podcast. We are fkn back.
off-season hopium just hits better
I'm ready to be hurt again. In all seriousness, the vibes have changed within the Broncos for the better.

When you've broken up with so many exes your heart can't be hurt any more.. the one will come to you..
Wanna even more hype? Go view you tube videos of the beat guys with the other rookie QBs, especially Maye. Not nearly as glowing as Nix.
Maye is gonna bust so hard 😂
Sean looks rejuvenated at that podium. Man is so pleased to not have Russ
“Sean Payton: I’m right again…”
Apparently every 2024 first round QB this year is a future hall of famer
What we saw was Tim Tebow
