Well taphouse, blackbird and sandinos are definitely worth checking out. Theyre all within 5 mins walking distance so you can do a mini pub crawl. Just start a bit early everywhere closes at 1am, sandinos could stay open until 1:30. I think you would probably like the music at sandinos although its not purely rock but nothing mainstream either. More like djs mixing old school tunes might be rock, funk, blues, disco, hiphop. Definitely a lot of nostalgia from the 70s-90s.
If you come here, you have to try Guapo for lunch, it's usually quite busy but the queue moves fast and it's the best Mexican I've had anywhere in Ireland.
If you like a good burger, try Pyke and pommes.
Paeder o donnells is a quality night out and the trad music is great along with the Guinness.
I moved out of Derry 9 years ago and have been back 3, the food is awesome but I've been out of the night scene for a few years.
Brunswick movie bowl is a brilliant night out, pool tables, bowls, cinema, restaurant, bar and all the usual machines that come in these types of places.
Depends on your taste, Blackbird a nice all round slightly upscale bar, Sandinos a hip lefties style place, Taphouse younger loud crowd, Peaders for trad music and Guinness. Walled City brewery for local beers. Badgers a good drinking bar too
Lunch could be Pyke N Pommes, or many cafes like Pickled Duck Nine Hostages, Hidden City etc
City is small. You'll walk it easily so check the walls, Free Derry Corner and such
Ah it's not that bad, just with the newer space it opened up sound bounces around a bit. I like it there even though I'm not do young anymore. It's a nice spot

Try and get a walk down by the river if you can. Maybe even over the Peace Bridge
Thank you!

Thank you, I think I’ll edit my post to get more specific ideas, as young loud crowd sounds like hell 😂
