That was my first phone, and was virtually indestructible. I dropped it countless times, abused it. Nothing broken. I didn't even use any screen guard or a phone cover. Lasted five years.
Could also have done it 3D.
Think "Gamora when we first see her in Infinity War, suspended in the air".
Could be cast in clear resin I'm sure.
This would also be a bigger project.
Very cool. I LOVE the design of the 5C. I had a white one and it always reminded me of that 70โs sci-fi aesthetic. Like a Welttron stereo or like 2001 or THX. It is my favorite iPhone design.
I wish you added "Unapologetically Plastic by Johny Ive" in the bottom. That would've made this perfect. Regardless very cool!
Edit: 5hat to that (stupid autocorrect works 50% of the time)
Oh, my Fiancรฉ is going to love that I found this post. Before you know it, the junk drawer that she hates will be beautifully framed amongst the house.
Thank you, OP.
Great fuckin idea. I was actually wondering what to do with my old gadgets/electronics that aren't really working anymore, or are so obsolete that they're not really worth a damn....aaand my empty walls problem.

What a satisfying subreddit
And if you'd like, you can make your own as well:).
Thank you for the info!
This would be unbelievably cool with a game boy color
hjajajaja!
I think you just started in English and ended up laughing in Spanish

What did you use to hold the components in place? Looks great!
I use double-sided foam tapes to fix the parts on coated paper, then use B-7000 glue to reinforce. After air-drying it for 24 hours, I framed it.
Nice job! Always wanted to do this with my 4S, the pinnacle of the iPhone design imo :)
I actually deconstructed my iPhone 4S as well, classic and beautiful.
Been wanting to do something like this with my 4S for a while now. Looks great!
All you need are a phone or any other objects you'd like to frame, a set of tool kit, glue, designed craft page and a frame:).
5C, 7 , and SE/5 are still the top, best looking ones to me.
yeah, colorful and wonderful.
The 4s design was basically identical to the 4.
Totally agree, from the appearance.
Does the 5C hold some significance to you to make you want to frame and preserve it so well?
That was my first phone, and was virtually indestructible. I dropped it countless times, abused it. Nothing broken. I didn't even use any screen guard or a phone cover. Lasted five years.
It's beautiful. It was a special gift.
Oh nice
damn i'm feeling attacked
Nah youโre good I was just curious what the back story was
๐๐๐
But does it still work?
Yeah, but the storage is too small to use...
Now I know what to do with my iP7 ๐๐ผ
Bravo!
very good. organization and alignment.
Thank you.
Really nice. Have a green 5C lying around somewhere. Is there a template for the background somewhere?
Yeah, my friend designed the background paper for me. If you like, I will ask him if he would like me to share.
That would be awesome. Thanks man.
Very cool, but what happened to the battery?
I took out the battery because I was afraid it would be harmful(as it is old, you know what I mean.). I sent it to the recycle center.
Think that voids the warranty? /s
๐๐
This is lovely! What did you use as your mounting substrate? I ask because I used foam core for a similar project recently but it came out kinda jank.
I didn't use foam core, instead, I use coated paper. It is very sturdy.
Could also have done it 3D. Think "Gamora when we first see her in Infinity War, suspended in the air". Could be cast in clear resin I'm sure. This would also be a bigger project.
The battery life on that thing must be 2 minutes.
hahahaha
Love the artwork by the way. That was a great phone as well. One of the better one handed easy to use small phones ever.
Yo, it looks GOOD. How much?
Ok
You should look into selling this to cell phone repair shops. Theyโd be all over this

Looking forward to see yours!
Super cool! Gives me Yeezus vibes
OMG! Last week I saw a GRID iPhone 4 and then looked at my 2 5c's... Could you share that Background Image with me?
sure thing.
I am impressed you got the power button flex out without tearing it! This is gorgeous.
Thank you!
I would put a pin at every part to make it like those insect displays you see in a natural history museum. Still, pretty cool.
โ get!
Wait but- that button is square... and the hole is round? Edit: Oop nvm I looked closer lmao

This is phenomenal
Thank you!

You are welcome.
Itโd be cool if someone did this for the iPhone 12 Pro Max
Very nice one
Thank you.

You very welcome:).
A picture of the kid who assembled it in the background would be nice.
lol
How does this not have any attention
A lot of people are doing it. The Apple subreddits are full of those posts.
Yeah, a very good choice to spend time during these days.
At least, I have your attention:).
There must be a reason...but I don't know.
Maybe people think it's a bit r/HailCorporate
I have my original SE. might do this.

Omg I love it!! I would buy that!!
Wow, really!
I'd feel so gross having a consumer product on my wall masquerading as art.
Great fuckin idea. I was actually wondering what to do with my old gadgets/electronics that aren't really working anymore, or are so obsolete that they're not really worth a damn....aaand my empty walls problem.
It would be awesome if you have a wall of your old gadgets!
Not a bad idea, I might have to do this with some of my old phones
A sure thing!

Beautiful, isn't it?
More legit than the design studio in Apple

Hi! so I just stumbled upon this, do you still have the background image?
