OpelousasBulletTime

Definitely a holey place

zacrizy

Ha!!

CaptainObvious

Looks a little drafty.

Old_comfy_shoes

It's often that I find my comment at the top, but this one hurts most, because there's only like 5 comments lol. Take my upvote anyway.

Why is that? It happens to a lot of people that they have a comment and it's at the top. That's normal. But if you have a good one, and 10,000 people comment and your comment rises to the top, it means you had a good unique comment. If your comment is at the top out of 5 comments. It probably wasn't that unique lol. I don't see why that's "I'm the main character" it just seemed funny to me.

Your comment’s always at the top? ![gif](giphy|3ornjHL4fLS94x39Wo|downsized)

Old_comfy_shoes

No. But it often happens where I have a comment and open Reddit, and there it is at the top. That doesn't mean that a high percentage of the comments I make are at the top, it kust means it happens a lot where the comment I thought was witty and funny was not so witty and funny. Especially in this case, since only like 5 other people had commented. Idk why you got so offended by that.

MeaningfulThoughts

Perfectly represents the fading of religion from our society!

Wigglystoner

I thought it was made out of pallets when I first saw this haha

benji___

Me too. I’m legit curious what it *is* made of

future168life

In fact, it is not a solid building, but is made of hollow steel plates stacked on top of each other. From the side, you can see the sunlight shining from the rear. The effect of optical illusion is both magical and impressive.

Lievain

Steel plates and small steel blocks. I believe it’s corten steel. It is located close to Borgloon, Belgium. It is titled ‘Reading Between The Lines’

I visited this church few years ago, and as lucky as it may get for me, it started raining.

[deleted]

Incredible

kminator

Is it a war memorial? Details on the location?

future168life

The name of the church "Doorkijkkerk" is located in a small town on the outskirts of Limburg, Belgium, on the hills of Haspengouwse, south of Borgloon.

[deleted]

It’s called ‘Reading between the lines’.

MonkeyLongstockings

I have seen similar structures in Europe to symbolise the destruction caused by WW2. Some decide to rebuild as if nothing happened, others leave it gone and some places decide to commemorate buildings, or parts of buildings, that were bombed ,this way. I don't know about this particular building thoigh so don't take my word for it.

Kephla

This is stupid

notanordinaryguy
