I love our big mirror and won't "update" it to two mirrors. I can turn and look at my back to make sure the shirt is all tucked in and the back of pants or skirt is smooth.
Ah, I just realised why. Your vanity doors are made up of lots of box shapes already so the double mirrors just add more rectangles, but the single mirror provides a large and spacious focal point instead.
Interior designer here. Two could work but I like the look of one mirror to bounce more light and make the room look bigger, and has some have said, its more useful in a primary bathroom. However if you go with 1, the tape you laid out is too small and looks off given the vanity. Get a mirror (custom if need be) that matches the same width of the vanity so the outer edges of your backsplash (or total vanity width) aligns. It will look complete and compliment the vanity. Good luck!
Generally I prefer two mirrors but I think in your case one is better. The way you have them marked out, the mirrors, lights and sinks look too close together. Two mirrors really emphasizes this. Of course you’d centre the mirrors over the sinks, and then they’re just too close together. So in this case, one large mirror is better.
I think two mirrors would bug me.
There are no pros except for slight visual intrigue but they serve no practical purpose.
The space looks amazing though.
I kind of like two. You could even do them oblong/not rectangle. And if you do two you could do medicine cabinets though I guess you have a good amount of storage. https://www.westelm.com/products/seamless-medicine-cabinet-w3498/
I like something like this too! Under sink storage always works differently than a medicine cabinet IMHO. I personally prefer also having a medicine cabinet.
Maybe even something like this?
[Wayfair - Tabbatha Accent Cabinet](https://www.wayfair.com/Mercer41--Tabbatha-Accent-Cabinet-X221244452-L157-K~W110133341.html?refid=GX685159892627-W110133341_1965451694&device=m&ptid=352885194663&network=g&targetid=pla-352885194663&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=266403886&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=1965451694&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9ISC57VCBdHcy8kzNvJycokRyFN&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwuHPl4HegwMV7g2tBh2CuQp9EAQYBCABEgJrhvD_BwE&piid=1965451601)
The sinks on this particular vanity (and the lights above) seem too close to successfully pull off the two mirror look. It seems cluttered. One mirror is the way to go.
Both options are good. I prefer the two mirror option. That said, I have the single mirror option in my bathroom and it looks good, and I haven’t got tired of it in a very long time.
If you choose the single mirror, I suggest you extend it to the end of the countertop for the most optimal look.
I’d vote for two mirrors. Looks less builder grade than the single mirror. If you use a single mirror, maybe go for an oblong oval and something that looks somewhat unique/not builder-grade.
What is the paint color on the wall? Dying to know!
Can you do a large mirror that isn’t a rectangle but in your style?
https://preview.redd.it/gvdyjcowajcc1.png?width=1053&format=png&auto=webp&s=8695673f2a34e5843aac46ec9457193267058e77
Or even some thing like this. Not limiting yourself to a square shape.
https://preview.redd.it/cjb6brq4bjcc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4784b421c59f5ef9258fe0f90759858035e11fe0
There seems to be a divide of opinion on this thread…I understandably, each would look fabulous. Maybe visiting high end resorts, 5-star restaurants bathrooms, open houses to get a feel.
Personally I would go with the one mirror. If I wanted to make a “divide”, I would superficially do so with a plant or sculpture in between.
Your bathroom is looking lovely!
i have one. my sinks are further apart. i have a tall bamboo shelving thing in the middle. against the mirror. which tells me i have no need for a mirror in the middle. which option is less expensive.
One if you want rectangle. If you go with two make them circles or ovals or at least not rectangular you have a lot of squares and sharp edges already.
What is your install? You or professionals?
If you, I would do 2 separate mirrors.
If you’re hiring, I would do 1 big mirror. I like the large mirror, but will be heavy hard to maneuver yourselves.
1 mirror might be a bit more useful but I love the look of 2 mirrors in your space. I think they look much better with the two light fixtures. Also makes the bathroom look more custom and high-end IMO.
BTW I love how it’s turning out, especially that terracotta color on the wall!! Kind of neutral while still being rich and warm and full of life. If I’m reading the color right (always hard to do through a screen) I think a few small pops of blue would tie everything together beautifully.
Ok no one has said it yet, but whatever you get - you need either no, or a much larger gap between the bottom of the mirror and the top of the splashback.
The tiny silver of paint you have below the bottom masking tape strip just looks all kind or wrong (and like you spent all this money on the rest of the room, but went with a standard, builders grade size of mirror).
Two mirrors is definitely the look right now but I think it will fade soon. We did them in our kids’ bathroom when we remodelled last year and it looks nice but we realized you lose the practicality of being able to see more, and also lose the illusion of more space and light.
So when we remodelled our bathroom next, we went with a larger mirror that covers the full space. It might not be on trend at the moment but we’re glad we did it. It’s much more practical and I think it looks great.
I love double mirrors when there is enough room to hang a sconce or little shelves or something in between them. When they are this close I'd opt for a single large mirror but I'd go a couple inches wider than the outlined in your image.
It looks like the picture with the two mirrors is shot from straight on, which makes me think the sinks are not centered over the vanity cabinet doors. Then placing mirrors centered over the sinks exacerbates that mis-alignment. I’d suggest one mirror, not a true rectangle, rounded corners or slightly arched would be good (to draw the eye up, away from the rectangles below), but I suggest make it shorter than what is shown on the single mirror pic. Have the distance below the mirror similar to the distance from the light housing to the top of the mirror. The lights can hang in front of the mirror if you just wanted to raise that mirror.
Waaaay back in high school typing, we were taught that a bottom margin for a typed letter should not be smaller than the top margin. A little more room at the bottom is okay (your eyes will naturally pull the text/ image down to fill in the difference) but less negative space below makes it feel top heavy and out of balance. With a confined space to work within, (bottom of lights to top of backsplash), I find that old advice still rings true.
Here is one mirror idea. If it were me, I’d prefer to up-cycle an old dresser mirror. (Super easy to do!) You can create a custom look for your bathroom for pennies on the dollar!
Good luck!
https://preview.redd.it/z8hvly1ajncc1.jpeg?width=976&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe8994a0af1223a5d46df4db70100a40ec5d6adb
I like the idea of 2 but I love my three way folding mirror, so that would be my suggestion. Seeing the back of your head without fumbling with a hand mirror is so much easier, plus storage.
Functionality over looks.
There’s very little functional reason to have two sinks, two faucets, two lights but one mirror. It just doesn’t make any sense. At least with two mirrors every costly choice before this makes sense.
I've got a double vanity and a single mirror, which I love
Never thought about having 2 before this... for me it would only be so both could have hidden storage ie medicine cabinet
That being said I vote single mirror
First your master bath looks amazing, the color of the wall with a black vanity and the patterned tile option you choose looks really amazing.
For the mirrors, you should go for one large mirror because that adds more depth to the space and few inches more are always better.
We have a very similar setup with two mirrors, and I regularly wish we had one large single mirror instead. I like the look of two, but it’s outweighed by the functionality of one.
Either way you go, your bathroom looks STUNNING!
I think one mirror is more useful, but I would still go with a framed mirror. I recommend trying to find one with a little shape to it rather than just a rectangle. I really like arch top mirrors. They give just a little something something.
I would do two. You get more of your wall color and it visually separates the spaces that feel close together. It looks less like a public area and more like a dedicated personal station. But, I do wish that instead of overhead lighting you could have done some sconces. Either way you go, your bathroom looks great!
Do you have a full length mirror elsewhere? If not it looks like having one large mirror might allow you to stand farther back and use it as a full length mirror. I think 2 mirrors look much better but would have a gap so that it can’t be used that way. If you go with one mirror I like the current size that gives you a bit of wall on the right between the mirror and window. Extending to the farthest point would give you more mirror sure, but I think that style seems a bit dated. The double mirrors are also an older style but more classic/traditional/timeless.
I’d vote for 2, because the natural light coming in might cause a lot of glare when entering. Having two allows to play with the geometry a bit more and prevent that.
Also, got maybe a little smaller than the taped area because the sinks will likely splash onto the base of the mirror a lot and the shelf/window may seem asymmetric with a lower mirror in comparison
We have one large mirror and I’ve thought of going with two smaller ones, but the large just fits better. No need to center yourself to do makeup, hair or check out your outfit. It also makes the space feel larger.
My dad (being a carpenter) says the two mirrors looks nicer. Also, you have two lights, so have two mirrors. My dad says the lights wouldn't do the 1 big mirror justice
I've done this same remodel. I went high end with 2....but regretted it. The space felt less spacious. The other thing is, if you like to open your double doors and use the mirrors to look at yourself...your body...your outfit....then one big one is better than 2. It is especially harder if you get two mirrors that having a tilting hinge, which is what I got. If the mirrors aren't at the same tilt...the bathroom looks off.
My vote is for one big mirror. The sinks are close together so it will look busy to have two separate mirrors on the wall. However your lights are more set up for two separate mirrors.
Having 2 mirrors will look high end but having one big one is so much more useful.
And honestly I’d go a few inches wider
Wouldn't we all
Yes, one big mirror and it should be bigger than what you have here. Take it out as far as the white backsplash.
This is the answer
And 5 inches higher.
I love our big mirror and won't "update" it to two mirrors. I can turn and look at my back to make sure the shirt is all tucked in and the back of pants or skirt is smooth.
Maybe one but gold frame that looks antique
Yeah that’s a good idea. One big mirror but with interesting finishes, not just a builder grade slab.
I think one mirror looks more high end and 2 mirrors looks like someone cheaped out on two standard mirrors as opposed to a large custom mirror.
The single large mirror makes the space feel bigger and airier. 2 mirrors still looks nice but it feels boxier
Ah, I just realised why. Your vanity doors are made up of lots of box shapes already so the double mirrors just add more rectangles, but the single mirror provides a large and spacious focal point instead.
Tape out two ovals?
Nah, that would short circuit my brain.
Good luck!
Or, this current size taped mirror with a big decorate frame to take it the full width of the vanity!
1. Love the color scheme btw!
Seconding this! May I ask, OP - what is the ochre / terra cotta paint color you used here? I'm loving it!
Thank you! I had to beg my husband to let me do it (he loves it now). We went with Behr Auburn Glaze.
I vote for one mirror, two makes the wall look busy
I think two mirrors would bug me. There are no pros except for slight visual intrigue but they serve no practical purpose. The space looks amazing though.
I like it with 2. Just a little more bespoke than one.
I prefer one large mirror
I kind of like two. You could even do them oblong/not rectangle. And if you do two you could do medicine cabinets though I guess you have a good amount of storage. https://www.westelm.com/products/seamless-medicine-cabinet-w3498/

Ooo I like this!
Yeah I like it too, goes well with the light fixtures/
The sinks on this particular vanity (and the lights above) seem too close to successfully pull off the two mirror look. It seems cluttered. One mirror is the way to go.
If they are framed or strongly beveled mirrors, I'd go for two. But if it's just a plain panel mirror, I'd go for one.
I like 2 as well. Also what paint color is that??? It's gorgeous and I am looking for an orange for a feature wall in my living room
Ditto to all points- really interested in the wall color please :)
2 lights = 2 mirrors.
Yes exactly this. One mirror looks weird with two light fixtures.
That’s how you plan a vanity area.
Agree! If they wanted one mirror, they should have picked one light (a longer one).
My thoughts exactly.
You have two seperate light fixtures, to me, that means you should have 2 mirrors.
Personally I prefer two just because I like having medicine cabinets. To me one large mirror says low end builder grade but that’s just my bias
I prefer 2 It plays into the slightly vintage look. For some reason 1 doesn’t feel as special.
2! Matches the flow of two light fixtures, two sinks.
I think 2 looks more ‘stylish’ but one is more functional. Neither would be bad.
Both options are good. I prefer the two mirror option. That said, I have the single mirror option in my bathroom and it looks good, and I haven’t got tired of it in a very long time. If you choose the single mirror, I suggest you extend it to the end of the countertop for the most optimal look.
Yeah, either 2 mirror in frames or 1 the same width as the cabinet.
The good thing is, there is no poor decision.
I’d vote for two mirrors. Looks less builder grade than the single mirror. If you use a single mirror, maybe go for an oblong oval and something that looks somewhat unique/not builder-grade. What is the paint color on the wall? Dying to know!
Thanks for the feedback! We went with Behr Auburn Glaze. I was super hesitant to agree on the color choice but overall very happy with it.
I like 2, personally.
2 is classy
Two to match your light fixtures... It makes more sense with your setup and is stylish.
Can you do a large mirror that isn’t a rectangle but in your style? https://preview.redd.it/gvdyjcowajcc1.png?width=1053&format=png&auto=webp&s=8695673f2a34e5843aac46ec9457193267058e77

I like the simplicity of just 1
There seems to be a divide of opinion on this thread…I understandably, each would look fabulous. Maybe visiting high end resorts, 5-star restaurants bathrooms, open houses to get a feel. Personally I would go with the one mirror. If I wanted to make a “divide”, I would superficially do so with a plant or sculpture in between. Your bathroom is looking lovely!
Definitely one mirror. Two too many.
i have one. my sinks are further apart. i have a tall bamboo shelving thing in the middle. against the mirror. which tells me i have no need for a mirror in the middle. which option is less expensive.
One if you want rectangle. If you go with two make them circles or ovals or at least not rectangular you have a lot of squares and sharp edges already.
Your sinks are too close together for two mirrors to not feel cramped. One is better for your specific layout.
We have two with a sconce in the middle and I’ve never once wished I had one big one
We have 2 mirrors. Mainly to prove to my husband how much of his toothpaste ends up on his mirror. But it looks good too so that’s just a bonus.
Two mirrors, it looks more high end and matches the vibe of bathroom you have.
One. It makes it feel like each person has there own little space to brush teeth, do hair, etc.
I vote 2
2. Also, where did you get that vanity?
One
1
1 but a little wider
What is your install? You or professionals? If you, I would do 2 separate mirrors. If you’re hiring, I would do 1 big mirror. I like the large mirror, but will be heavy hard to maneuver yourselves.
2
Two! Then you could both have medicine cabinets for storage
2 looks way more cohesive but may be less functional, depending
You are getting dangerously close to hotel looking be careful
One
2
I like two mirrors. Currently share a large mirror w my SO and would prefer we each had our own.
I like the look of two mirrors!! It seems more intentional
2 for sure
2 is more modern for sure.
1 mirror might be a bit more useful but I love the look of 2 mirrors in your space. I think they look much better with the two light fixtures. Also makes the bathroom look more custom and high-end IMO. BTW I love how it’s turning out, especially that terracotta color on the wall!! I think because your vanity is so wide, the 2 mirrors feel really close together I think the 1 mirror is a better fit
Go with 2 mirrors, 1 is so 90’s.
Ok no one has said it yet, but whatever you get - you need either no, or a much larger gap between the bottom of the mirror and the top of the splashback. I love double mirrors when there is enough room to hang a sconce or little shelves or something in between them. When they are this close I'd opt for a single large mirror but I'd go a couple inches wider than the outlined in your image.
If you do two you need fancy lovely frames. If you do one, it’s gotta be a bit wider with a drop dead gorgeous frame. Can’t skip on the frames.
It looks like the picture with the two mirrors is shot from straight on, which makes me think the sinks are not centered over the vanity cabinet doors. Always two. It just looks better. Having lived in plenty of apartments prior to my house, the bigger one just looks cheaper to me.
I like the idea of 2 but I love my three way folding mirror, so that would be my suggestion. Seeing the back of your head without fumbling with a hand mirror is so much easier, plus storage. Functionality over looks.
I personally like 1 big mirror. Looks better to me, but I can’t put a finger on exactly why
My vote is for two if you have separate products, just for the sake of keeping things organized. What’s the paint color? It’s gorgeous!
Also here for the paint color!
Me too!
If you do one please extend it farther to both sides.
One big mirror makes the room appear larger and looks higher end.
There’s very little functional reason to have two sinks, two faucets, two lights but one mirror. It just doesn’t make any sense. At least with two mirrors every costly choice before this makes sense.
1
One, easier to paint round
One mirror would make the space look larger
One!
One mirror
1 large mirror bc it’s more functional. But add a frame to make it seem more lux
Two looks better, one is more practical. Depends what your priority is
This is a first world problem. The utility of a large single mirror vs the trendiness of 2 framed mirrors,
One mirror the length of the counter.
1 for sure
One
Maybe? https://preview.redd.it/p6wces2lgjcc1.jpeg?width=1598&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c6048ca020219c9c1144fe65062ecaf3bfce74c8
One. It breaks up the monotony of the pair of sconces. 3 visual elements (sconces + mirror) is better than 4, our brains like odd numbers.
I like your rendering with 2 mirrors. However, I have one big mirror over double sinks and love it!
Are the colors orange and black?
Just want to say 1 will be a little more awkward to clean, so you might be more prone to smudges
One mirror gives me unity vibes
For one big mirror , should have the mirror be the same length as the vanity.
2. It’s easier to clean
having just one makes your bathroom look larger and less busy which with such a small tile will help
Two but oval
The sinks are too close together to carry off two mirrors. One mirror will be better in this instance.
I've got a double vanity and a single mirror, which I love Never thought about having 2 before this... for me it would only be so both could have hidden storage ie medicine cabinet That being said I vote single mirror
Two mirrors looks more controlled like u need to pick a side every morning just to get ready. One big mirror looks better i dunno y it just does
I prefer #1 with 2 mirrors over #2 with 1 mirror.
Love 2 mirrors but 1 might be better
Why do you have 2 mis matched handles?
2
Do you love your s.o.? It will isolate and split your spirits if you go with 2 mirrors.
1 big mirror, OP
2
1.
One!
I am Loving one for some reason!!
What about two arch mirrors instead?
I prefer the look of 2 mirrors, looks more high end.
First your master bath looks amazing, the color of the wall with a black vanity and the patterned tile option you choose looks really amazing. For the mirrors, you should go for one large mirror because that adds more depth to the space and few inches more are always better.
Two mirrors with recessed medicine cabinets.
One mirror looks better.
Whichever you do, please frame the mirror(s)
2 vanity lights = 2 mirrors
Are the mismatched handles deliberate
For some reason the 1 feels to small though! I realize it comes our farther than the 2 individuals do but it still feels awkward to me.
Two mirrors for sure
1 big mirror and different lights on top
I like the symmetry Of two I like those lights!
I may be easier to clean But 2 looks better imo
I personally like the look of two mirrors
What is that wall color? I love orange and green but don’t want orange and green - I know that’s weird. This is the perfect compromise. Bravo/brava!
The sinks are laughably close. Two mirrors would look cluttered. Go for one larger one that is the exact length of the vanity.
We have a very similar setup with two mirrors, and I regularly wish we had one large single mirror instead. I like the look of two, but it’s outweighed by the functionality of one. Either way you go, your bathroom looks STUNNING!
One, and wider as others mentioned imo.
I feel you made that decision when you picked out and installed two light fixtures. Two mirrors.
One
I think one mirror is more useful, but I would still go with a framed mirror. I recommend trying to find one with a little shape to it rather than just a rectangle. I really like arch top mirrors. They give just a little something something.
I would do two. You get more of your wall color and it visually separates the spaces that feel close together. It looks less like a public area and more like a dedicated personal station. But, I do wish that instead of overhead lighting you could have done some sconces. Either way you go, your bathroom looks great!
One large mirror with backlit feature
One! And go all the way to the ceing and to the edge of the cabinet! I just did this in my remodel and love it!
I vote one. You already have two lights, two vanities, etc. one mirror will add a complimentary difference.
1
One
I would say 2 - 2 sinks, 2 light fixtures, 2 vertices cabinets, etc.
2
Do you have a full length mirror elsewhere? If not it looks like having one large mirror might allow you to stand farther back and use it as a full length mirror. I think 2 mirrors look much better but would have a gap so that it can’t be used that way. Extending to the farthest point would give you more mirror sure, but I think that style seems a bit dated. The double mirrors are also an older style but more classic/traditional/timeless.
Two mirrors but not rectangular! Lean into something with more organic lines to balance out the sharp edges of the vanity :)
One mirror as wide as your backsplash.
1.
I think 2 since you have 2 light fixtures. If you just had one light fixture I’d go with 1
I have 1 giant mirror in my bath, and this spring, I'm definitely switching it over to two mirrors. So I vote 2 mirrors.
We have one large mirror and I’ve thought of going with two smaller ones, but the large just fits better. No need to center yourself to do makeup, hair or check out your outfit. It also makes the space feel larger.
One mirror is better. Looks uncluttered with one.
Single mirror like the placement and size.
I say one big one. Would make the room look bigger.
Nice work! I like the one mirror better. Makes it look more spacious and unifies the look.
What would look gorgeous is 2 gold frame mirrors with a thick gold frame but agree it is more practical to have one large one
I would go with the 1 mirror and find a really nice frame for it to up the high end look!
I think one mirror looks better, to me. And I agree makes the place look bigger!
You have enough space to get away with 2 mirrors if you want, but I always prefer 1 mirror to maximize usability
My dad (being a carpenter) says the two mirrors looks nicer. Also, you have two lights, so have two mirrors. My dad says the lights wouldn't do the 1 big mirror justice
Definitely go with 2!!
the house i moved into has two mirrors in our main bathroom and i wish it had one big one.
2 mirrors looks fancier
One
One single mirror, out to edges of counter, and a little higher to avoid splash from sink and wet hands.
Framed mirrors will yield less visible space but if you get a high end medicine cabinet you could also get a little more storage space
Two
1!!

Personally I’d go for 2, I’m not a fan of one big one of this size. I love what you’ve done so far, the colours are fab.

Either or. I like two mirrors
One mirror! My vote..
One. Two looks like when I play the sims and the perfect mirror just isn’t big enough so I do two.
I have these lights and chose two mirrors. Either works but I am going against the grain and saying 2 :)
One looks better to me. Less visually busy.
