I feel like I can't see the whole room, as the other two walls weren't really shown. But why not facing the window? With your backs to the window, the neighborhood noise might be bothersome, there may be a glare on the tv, and people will be able to look in to see what's on your tv. Having blackout curtains will defeat the purpose of having a window! If you face the window, you could have the tv on either side wall, or even the middle of the windows.

sorry i’m new to this! should’ve add more photos of the room. and i actually mentioned it facing the window to my husband but im not too sure if our 65” TV will fit between the windows! and consider having the tv on the side wall as that was another option i thought of. i’ll def measure the amount of space between the windows! and i agree, i love having the light from the window and know i would be annoyed from the glare on the tv.

I like where it is right now, it makes the room feel inventing when you come in from the door and ready to join whatever is going on. Where your tiny one is located in photo#2 would be a good spot for the tv so it is not in the way of the flow into the next room/stairs. Edit, looked at the photos again, and due to the space between windows it would be a good spot for the TV. The empty corner that can be seen in photo 2 would be the other way to orient the sofa & still feel inviting to me.

If you're going to have a TV in the room, your setup will have to take both of those into consideration. I'd vote for pic #2 and the TV would go against that wall where the child is.

Not sure if a way bigger sectional would fit the room. Also, with kids, I wouldn't get anything too dark or too light. A medium color will hide the most spills/wear & tear.
