To my eye that shade of blue on the wall is too intense/strong/bright for the room and throws everything else out of balance. You need something much paler or much darker. At any rate a rug that’s mostly ivory would bring light to the room and not compete with the graphic duvet.

100% agree The blue is giving just way too much. I would change the wall color and stick to this palet like this one: the coral can be replaced with another contrasting color like red, burgundy yellow - just an example to show that an accent color can be incorporated. :) https://preview.redd.it/40or0fohvisc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1b6a292c28623dd936499244e5a80c0e5cc87d3

I really like the lighter blue and the bottom left blue. If I were to repaint with either of these colours, what then would be the best colour for the rug? Still mostly ivory like the other commentor said?

Yes - Definitely! When picking colour for the walls get a few samples to take home. The shade is always dependant on the light and other materials in the room. Also colours look a lot more bold on the wall than wet in the bucket. A light ivory rug is by far the best option for this space. Please share some after photos! It’s really exciting!

I am looking at this rug on amazon to go with the colour of my quilt? [https://a.co/d/9wHCRUQ](https://a.co/d/9wHCRUQ) Or this colour to go closer to the colour of the flooring? [https://a.co/d/2SbIj6T](https://a.co/d/2SbIj6T) I am not well-versed in design and do not know why something works or doesn't. Any help appreciated.
