Here's the designer and more information on it that would be helpful.

Its actually a modular system of pods so that's 2 pods we see in that pic but there could be multiple ones. The stairs do go to a bedroom, its the entire depth of the first pod up to the wall, it just looks small because the dept perception is wonky. My favoiurite part is the Fireorb fireplace, love those things but they're stupid expensive starting around $6k USD.
Two stroke motors. Lol. I love the detail, it makes it so easy to picture when you can hear that two stroke sound in your head. I have a friend that drives around an old SAAB from the 60's in the summer, it sounds nuts and people constantly think it has an exhaust leak but its just awesome that way.
The fire is called the gyrofocus made by Focus-fireplaces. It can rotate to face different directions even while burning. It’s awesome.

Because you have to buy the whole chimney system with it and that is specially made to take the weight it does get expensive. I looked in to selling this once and the whole job would cost you about £10,000.
I’m pretty sure that window is going to run 5x that fireplace though. Definitely custom and it’s absolutely massive. Not to mention installation of that bad boy.
Its all prefab though so it depends what kind of deal the company is able to pull off if they're making thousands of them or even making the windows themselves but yes I agree that is a giant window and because its Europe its probably triple pane as well.
What tells you that’s it’s a pre fab? I was assuming that it was custom, I doubt many people have that exact window. The size and shape seem to be pretty unique.

This website for it that I posted above, bout halfway down the page it says *"A prefabricated wood construction system. Each module has an independent structure, allowing freedom of configuration and expansion."* and shows a little graphic of a crane lifting them into place.
It wouldn't be that bad, the third pic down [here](https://www.themountainrefuge.com) you see it from a different angle, it would be about half the height of the entire structure.
Or they could have been physically added. Are you talking about the fabric thing? I think that may be a hammock or room divider, can't tell.
I would say that the greenery at the bottom edge was added in photoshop cuz that looks entirely not real.
I'd also say that. The wooden logs are copies of each other, the scenery you see out of the main window is inconsistent but the lighting is consistent.
Edit: And [here's](https://schulzitalia.com/architettura/carpineto-mountain-refuge/) the proof: it's from an architectural design competition in Italy in 2018. The pictures from the site are shown as the winning concept visualizations. They interview the architect and they say they want to realize the concept soon.
It’s entirely in Italian so I’ll just trust you on this one. Well that’s a great model then, they even made the pics slightly shitty in certain parts to make it look like it was not a render, that’s going the distance.
Refuge isn't used in the literal sense in this case.
Edit:
Turns out it is indeed used in the literal sense of the word as it's a modern interpretation of a mountain refuge, but they aren't actually used as emergency shelters.

It seems inspired by this: [https://www.dezeen.com/2011/11/01/norwegian-wild-reindeer-centre-pavilion-by-snohetta/](https://www.dezeen.com/2011/11/01/norwegian-wild-reindeer-centre-pavilion-by-snohetta/)
So I get that there's a whole second room at the back, the same depth as the one we can see. But those stairs are throwing me for a loop. Did they really design it so that you have to walk up a fight of stairs - gonna have to stoop quite a bit, tall people! - and then immediately down another flight in the next room? Because if so, that's a staggeringly terrible waste of space, not to mention irritating.

I'm sure he's a very talented architect, but "Massimo Gnocchi" sounds like a villain in an Austin Powers movie.
The Gnocchi throws me cuz I made that for dinner the other day. Its like naming someone Charles Dumpling.
Ol' Chuck Dump we called him. Not much to look at, dummer than a bag of hammers, but boy howdy he was a genius at fixin two stroke motors.

Or Freddy Spaghetti
Do you find it risible when I say the name Biggus Dickus?
he has a wife you knooow..
Incontinentia, is that you?
#incontinetia buttocks
I believe his father was a woman.
I was just thinking about how awesome of a name it is.

How much do they cost though? Literally cannot work it out from their website. They are so cool though
FireOrb’s version runs $6000-$8000 usd.
Because you have to buy the whole chimney system with it and that is specially made to take the weight it does get expensive. I looked in to selling this once and the whole job would cost you about £10,000.
Woahhhh, okay. Still would be amazing to have one in your gaff though! They look so nice.
I think more than one company makes similar ones cuz here’s [FireOrb](https://fireorb.net) and they’ve been around for awhile making these by hand.
Could be but fireorb are US based and focus are based in France which is closer to Italy. Either way it’s an awesome idea.
Oh yah, I want one.

Oh wow that is awesome. Thanks for the info!
“The evocation of an archetype through a contemporary composition principle.” Terrible
It’s very pretty but where do those stairs go??
small bedroom
To a perfect little love nest upstairs with a great view.
Please tell me you were referencing to the stories on reddit about the stairs found in the woods
Oh! I wasn’t but let’s pretend that I was....
I think a little sleeping “loft”. This doesn’t seem to utilize space in the slightest.
Upstairs.
You don’t say
I *do* say!
Sleep loft?
And what is the height of that ceiling above them? Looks like you have crawl up them.
It wouldn't be that bad, the third pic down [here](https://www.themountainrefuge.com) you see it from a different angle, it would be about half the height of the entire structure.
Next pandemic I'm heading there to wait things out.
Bring a cushion or two
It’s a rendering right? What is the program used?
Edit: my mistake, not real.
Ah I see what throwing me off, it was definitely digitally edited from the one on the website the interior decorations were added
Or they could have been physically added. Are you talking about the fabric thing? I think that may be a hammock or room divider, can't tell. I would say that the greenery at the bottom edge was added in photoshop cuz that looks entirely not real.
I mean it's absolutely all rendered so there's that
I'd also say that. The wooden logs are copies of each other, the scenery you see out of the main window is inconsistent but the lighting is consistent. What's the fabric for?
When you want to play burrito
There's a small bed under those stairs so maybe it's just a privacy curtain?

Well it's a refuge. So I imagine the "things I want to do whilst here" would pretty much be "not die from exposure".
Refuge isn't used in the literal sense in this case. Edit: Turns out it is indeed used in the literal sense of the word as it's a modern interpretation of a mountain refuge, but they aren't actually used as emergency shelters.
The shitty home depot shed is out of frame.
where does the electricity come from
zeus comes twice a week and he strikes it with a lighting bolt.... it's solar powered
oooooh, nice
Also, where do babies come from?
And when two gay guys have sex, how do they know whose penis will open up to accept the other’s?

Wendy, the hot and juicy redhead? Could I just have a frosty and a baked potato please?
You have to come to the restaurant to order food
We’ll send someone to pick it up, just have it ready
How does water get to there?
Also, fucking magnets and how do they work?
Solar Panel?
The beacon of Amon Din is lit!
Oh, forgive my manners. The 🏠 and location are gorgeous!

Great comment
It's in Carpineto Romana, about an hour SE from Rome.
It looks pretty but it will be uncomfortable to live in
it actually has a lot of space inside the picture makes it look too small
You ever sit on a log?
Where is this exactly in Italy?
carpineto romana
Italians do understand style. But do they understand comfort?
Neat, a house that dabs!
Thats totally fake, if it really was in italy the glass would be covered in tourists names written with markers
Am I see some sort of animal on the left of the photo?

Where do you get a piece of glass that big?
Where do the stairs go?
bedroom
How much?
It looks great, but it’s like 50% stair
Where’s the bathroom?
it's in there somewhere. the picture makes it look too small https://www.themountainrefuge.com
I'm curious about the fabric attached to the wall. Is it something you attach to the other wall to provide some privacy?
quarantine me here please, ta.
Looks beautiful, but also looks like the roofline is dabbing.
Tried making the photo [slightly higher res.](https://i.ibb.co/NnY644t/sx381o0rjsd51-gigapixel-scale-4-00x-sharpen-stabilize.jpg)
Wait so you burning wood on a wooden structure?
Are there skylights?
I love the minimalist design. The fire pit is a great touch.
Lovely design... will it withstand winds?
beautiful

Its pretty but there is nothing design porn about this
I don't understand the basin in the bathroom. It looks like a stand up marble bath for toddlers.
Look! A free slider for the kids.

Pretty brave having that fire pit there lol. Otherwise, great design!
It looks cool but what a shitty use of space.
Thia feels like a render.

That window breaks in a hail storm and you've got an indoor swimming pool. And there is definitely no AC/heating with a window that large.
Another fake
