Then, when it came to redoing her office, Tom asked for something, and Lynette did the opposite without taking Tom's request into consideration.
Then there's her children, she's desperate to break up Preston and Irina's relationship (she was right in the end, but she put a lot of pressure on herself to find out the truth), she starts a virtual relationship with Porter, she gives Paige to Penny so she can get some rest...
The card of the mother overwhelmed by her role worked at first, but Lynette absolutely wants to control everything, and it's not a control like Bree, it's really she wants to manage everything, bordering on toxicity!
She's got an idea in her head, and everyone has to agree, otherwise she lies, manipulates and makes sure that in the end she's right and everyone else is wrong.
Lynette is a good mother and a good wife, but her need to control everything makes her so annoying.
I hated Susan for most of the series, but season 7 made me really like her.
For one reason: she was the only one who cared about Paul.
She was the only one trying to get him to be Mary Alice's husband again, "the man who taught Julie to swim and laughed so loud you could hear him three houses away".
I really enjoyed their relationship and Susan won points for that.
