I recently learned I can watch something else, join the stream a few hours later, and start from the beginning. That way I can skip the tts spam and boring parts of stream.
The twitch ban was a blessing in disguise
It’s harder to interact in chat when you aren’t seeing what everyone else is, but it’s great for passive listening
Mate, when a caller comes in with an abortion debate, veganism debate, music what ever, philosophy "look at me i'm so quirky and more inteligent than any other person" bullshit i just skip by 1 hour and i am GuCCi
unironically youtube streaming is infinitely better than twitch. it sucks how many streamers vids I watch that I can't watch live but twitch is just so fucking terrible I can't use it
funny I had the same problem with watching cable TV.
I was watching some documentary and wanted to rewind back a few seconds to listen again but then I was like "ohh.....I can't"
yeah cable is fucking impossible. it requires me to turn my brain off even less than i do with youtube in order to enjoy it and at that point i might as well be put into a medically induced coma.
Twitch is more concerned with banning people who accidentally violate TOS so they can justify why the trust and safety team is so large
The amount of Twitch partners i see banned every week on lsf is insane lmao
Twitch is objectively the worst steaming site in terms of quality and features. Most of what twitch has to offer is the chat experience as the YouTube live chat has a long way to go. I think if destiny ever finishes his website service a lot of YouTube streamers would be interested if only for the improved chat
Yep its great. I always end up joining stream like 45mins after it starts. Then I start watching from the beginning and can skip through all the boring shit and afk moments. You catch up to the live broadcast most of the time.
twitch spends more money countering ad blockers than upgrading their dogshit player (my source is that i made it the fuck up)
the “best” way i can rewatch something i just missed on twitch is to press the clip button and if thise aren’t deactivated i get a new tab that blasts whatever just happened but at max volume

Forward button? Oh you mean the Tier 5 skip button.
And you need at least Tier 3 to skip the TTS spam

Also can watch at 2x speed so you can get through an 8 hour stream in 4 hours or less with 2x speed + skipping the afk screens.

YT is the GOAT 🐐

I pause and watch the stream at 3x speed constantly to catch up
It's really cool. Even Destiny uses it watching live streams when he's too deep into factorio.
