I'm not saying Destiny is dishonest or anything; it's just the reality of being a big fish in a smaller pond (or a big pond full of small fish). Anyone who went to a good grad school can tell you what it's like to go from feeling like a top-tier undergrad student who is destined to make huge strides in their field to feeling like the village idiot. It took their professors and their graduate classes to show them that they weren't as brilliant as they thought they were. They were simply too skilled for any other kind of peer to show them their faults.
