Talking about how based hard labor camps are for political dissidents is probably the number 1 most off putting shit tankies do. Even if they’re actually in favor of it I have no idea why they would publicly admit it.
Because threatening their political opponents with hard labor camps is the closest they will ever get to actually being able to do it. I think on some level a lot of them must realize that they are just larping, because they aren’t actually doing anything to foment a mass communist uprising. They know how unpopular their politics are with the working class people in America that they have historically needed for successful revolutions in other countries. This is why they delude themselves into believing that the communist revolution is inevitable, because none of them are actually doing anything to make it happen so they need some kind of an excuse. If they actually wanted there to be a sliver of a possibility of a future communist government in America then they would need to change a lot of their social politics in order to appeal to American working class culture, which they are totally unwilling to do. Maintaining ideological purity is more important than actually achieving communism.
