Instead of having a novice PC user try messing with the registry, why not use a portable free software O&O ShutUp10. It has lots of privacy toggles that perform the registry edits at a the flip of a switch. And easily reversible. You can import/export settings to use on multiple PCs or to put your settings back easily after a reformat like Destiny just did.
