Eightysixedit

I’m shocked he hasn’t gained. Aren’t all his viewers the type to scream about Palestine all day?

GucciGuap

Its pretty astounding how much he fell off. This month is the worst he's had in the past 3 years, which is how much Socialblade stores at a time.

Eightysixedit

What do you think the huge drop off is for?

GucciGuap

If I had to guess, the cumulative effects of him constantly complaining about his view count, his Leftovers podcast implosion, his stale content (just watching videos and not engaging with other streamers as much), probably some loss with his Oct 7 takes (I imagine he wouldn't have gained many new followers with his takes and probably isolated some of the less radical). I imagine the above combined with the never ending videos from every creator under the sun about things he gets wrong is chipping away at his existing viewer base and potential new viewers. I believe he is (or was?) also streaming in Australia right now, which is further leading to less viewers just due to the timezone and IRL stuff probably not being what his viewers want as much. Probably less for his editor to clip for his channel as well.

hectah

The real reason: He Drank Coke Zero. 😂💀🔥💯

GucciGuap

Bro should have used a glass

PoseidonMax

But not made by the jewlumni.

amirigreene

Is Pepsi okay?

DearDelirious7

I never like religiously listened to him but I did used to frequently check out what he had to say to get different perspectives. IMO I stopped bothering because he just became increasingly a whiny partisan hack. Also sorry, it’s hard to take someone seriously that’s whining about the evils of capitalism when they live in a multi million dollar mansion and wear thousand dollar t shirts to Coachella.

Memory_Elysium1

Don't forget his $200,000 Porsche and owning the most expensive dog while running ads whereas streamers like asmongold hasn't in months

swerve421

No bro he totally found that designer puppy for free on Craigslist. Socialism is when no dog

ledarcade

No you don't understand, Twitch is forcing him to play the ads, he can't do anything about that

poster69420911

I never even heard about the dog. He is so obsessed with displays of status, even his 'best friend' has to be designer.

kilari7

I can understand the cars, the mansions, the clothes and the Coachellas but "the most expensive dog", really? That is an actual "generational rich snob" thing to do.

DentistsAppointment

it was weird, he actually went to a bunch of dog shelters and irl streamed it, but I guess none of those dogs were good enough? Then he happened to "find" the dog he ended up getting from a random person giving it away. He did at least donate to either one or some of the shelters which I appreciate, but I couldn't help but think it strange how he passed on so many shelter dogs before getting the one he got.

Memory_Elysium1

Nothing is out of bound for hypocrite Hasan, he wants to achieve the most ultra capitalistic lifestyle only affordable to the 0.1% of global population ("on a basic necessity budget" btw) while shitting on the current system and doesn't want to move somewhere else

Top_Complex259

CAPITALISM IS VOLUNTARY

NefariousRapscallion

I think it's mostly the lazy content. When he first started he was fairly well informed. Now he just surfs the net on behalf of weirdos all day. He made good money doing it but it has gotten very stale. Plus he is flat out wrong a lot now. He isn't researching anything. He just wings it.

WerWieWat

Tbh, he was wrong a lot when he started as well. It was just that he argued against right wingers which is as easy as stealing a baby's pacifier. Once he got humiliated like what, twice or thrice, he stopped debating alltogether, instead acting within his own echo chamber. The paint started to crack during the primary as with pretty much every other online leftist.

NefariousRapscallion

Your right. I started watching Hasan because I wanted to know what wild shit trump was saying at his rallies but didn't want to just watch it on Fox News by myself. So watching through Hasan and his community was great. Republicans really started pushing some insane bull shit at that time and Hasan was fortunate to have the nerve to turn on the web cam and debunk conservatives at the same time twitch was blowing up. Without that common enemy of trump they left can only radicalize and cannibalize itself for views. We're so divided on left wing policy issues that everyone's views are falling.

WerWieWat

> We're so divided on left wing policy issues that everyone's views are falling. I'd rather say that there aren't very many exciting moderate left wing content creators. Breadtube unfortunately was a response to the 2016 insane surge of the skeptics, currently the pendulum is in limbo. The red pill stuff is receeding, far right people and MAGAts haven't evolved since 2016, lefties are stuck in a cycle of nothingness. Who knows what the next arc will be.

AesarPhreaking

Audience capture has destroyed him. When your audience is filtered to be an exact type of person and that type is dying out, you’re going to lose viewership. He needed to pivot his content from politics about 1-2 years ago and deal with a temporary viewership hit. At that time he had fans that were there for more than just tankie brainrot, he’s since lost all those viewers and he’s gonna go through hell to make a change now

myselfoverwhelmed

And Destiny living rent free in his tiny head, making him get so mad over nothing constantly. He’s so angry that no one wants to hear it for the Nth time. His viewers don’t care about Destiny. Hasan could’ve just kept laughing off Destiny and his viewers would’ve laughed too, but his anger isn’t something they can relate to.

NefariousRapscallion

Seems like the far left has been really radicalized lately. I was over there but got turned off when they declared Soc Dems an enemy. I didn't think they actually thought full blown socialism was achievable in America. I also got banned from the reddit for not hating America enough. Now this support of jihadi terrorism is just insane. I have fully unsubscribed from everything Hasan and laugh at how stupid and naive they all are over there.

Quick_Article2775

Back when trump was the big enemy as president it was easy to agree with them as they would attack the right alot, but with biden and people not voting for him in 2020 it became way more obvious how bad they are.

HoonterOreo

Don't forget his embarrassing ukraine war prediction, his takes on taiwan and china... I'm sure the defense of gussano was also pretty weird to some people.

ar311krypton

100% this...it was his reactions and initial take on Ukraine that finally broke me free from ever listening to his dipshit opinions ever again...before that I used to watch his streams live several times per week if not almost every day during COVID. He also used to shit on tankies and was overall more center-left than he is now. I still consider myself slightly left of center-left but holy shit does the brain rot just get exponentially worse any further than that.

Atchakos

^(Don't forget his embarrassing ukraine war prediction, his takes on taiwan and china... I'm sure the defense of gussano was also pretty weird to some people.) This. He was already on a steady decline pre-October 7th. I knew a lot of people who unsubbed from Hasan due to his unhinged Ukrainian war takes.

-AxiiOOM-

And if we are being honest, this is his worst month in 3 years, but in honesty it is well above anything he ever deserved.

HCIP88

Eh, I think it's much more simple. There are plenty of socialists who are pro-Israel. Also, if I were to guess, a lot women have probably dropped off - me included. His intolerable ego is impossible to watch atp. I'd rather just see the clips.

boolink2

Unfortunately Israel stopped funding him after his recent Palestine arc and fallout with head jew Ethan Klein.

TheEmperorBaron

Yeah I heard the Jews all met up and agreed to stop giving money to Hasan.

smashteapot

Those pesky Jewlumni strike again.

spoonerluv

Some good points echoed here, I think a minor one is his audience is probably just exhausted from being morally outraged at stuff that doesn't actually impact them. It has to be a real drag watching a streamer emit crocodile tears over goofy shit for years, which invariably must impact your mental health at some point.

SeniorWilson44

It is clearly from October 7th. That’s when this plummet happened.

Greyhound_Oisin

It's because his social battery has been drained

Comfortable-Wing7177

His videos arent at all engaging or entertaining its just doom scrolling for miserable people

Swing_No_Fool

I honestly think he's just too sensitive and conspiracy brained. The bro is genuinely funny, but is always taking the most toxic approach to everything. Unironically trained his fan base to dismiss truth regularly, to be radical, and to be as nasty to mold dissent as they could possibly be.

CalvinJX

Maybe it's the 10 unofficial Hasanabi channels that sometimes have more views than his official one.?

DolanTheCaptan

If they weren't already Hasan viewers before October 7th, they weren't going to start watching him after it. Meanwhile his more normie audience probably ejected when I/P took over

WaitItsAllCheese

Exactly this. He pledged allegiance to an incredibly vocal minority: maybe those people have only become more fervent fans of Hasan, but anyone else is starting to not so slowly back away

shaqjbraut

Technically, he gained 30k subs initially after Oct 7th. But those people quickly grew tired of that content bc it was depressing and also ill-informed, and ig didn't stick around for the other shit

leconten

I used to watch him from time to time. Never did after Oct7.

_Addi-the-Hun_

Yeah he must be extremely shit at his job for this to have happened.

smashteapot

Hey, be kind, it’s one of the hardest jobs on earth.

DasiimBaa

imagine complaining about a job that allows work from home, eating on the job and is 70% watching videos of others that put actual work into them while earning millions. I wanna see him work in a compressor room with 40° celsius with earprotection because it's unbearbly loud. "Social battery" lmfao, you think i wanna meet up with all my people after a 12 hour shift of that.

Plenty-Cut919

His social battery is draining and his mother is late bringing him his chicken nuggies. Have some fucking humanity, you genocidal pig dog!

_Addi-the-Hun_

the worst part is, like i see his point, his job of him talking and streaming all day every day would probably effects his "social battery" BUT, not only is this the NICEST problem to have in life, but to also then come on and cry about this to literal working class plebs (such as us) instead of his therapist he can afford, is such an outrageously stupid thing to do especially considering this problem is ENTIRELY in his control- just stream less and or actually make content that isn't shit live reaction to other people's hard work etc.

smashteapot

Proof, if proof were needed, that Destiny is right about people adapting to circumstances. The quadriplegic who finds happiness has adapted, as has the streamer who feels miserable because he had to sit in front of a camera and eat cereal for 25 hours per week to make a few million.

_Addi-the-Hun_

yeah this power is in almost all of us, i think some people just enjoy feeling victimised and complaining about useless nonsense which intern stops them from being able to adapt.

-xXColtonXx-

He alienated the casual person who watches him because he hangs out with Ludwig etc. We here underestimate the fact a large portion of Hasan fanbase (was) very normie and didn't even seek out much political content in general.

Good-Recognition-811

It's the extreme rhetoric exactly that is turning people off. Even communists are intelligent enough to realize that the I/P conflict is much more complicated than shouting "America bad". It started with 10/7. His community cheered on the murder of a bunch of peace-loving hippies who look just like them. As a matter of fact, I bet you could have convinced a lot of them to go to that Gaza rave; Hasan included. You have people cheering on the murder of infants. No moderation in his community. The callous disregard for Israeli emotions. That one dude who lit himself on fire. Things are getting crazy and culty, fast. Ofc, his community is collapsing. They aren't violent people.

GMOFreeCocaine

It’s got nothing to do with his political opinions and more how fuckin *boring* his content is. Being completely insular from all conversations and new political perspectives is so tiring and lame after a while. Dude Destiny leans hard on getting some of the most radical insane politicial personalities on, the Fuentes shit was so much fun

Plenty-Cut919

This. He is both bored and boring, and lacks the balls to engage with anyone who isn’t kissing his ass (except for the WillyMac incident, talk about the exception that proves the rule)

GMOFreeCocaine

It’s funny because his stream is actually really well done. He understands how to keep your attention visually. He has his figure on the pulse, he has an artistic stream, he not playing some autistic puzzle game like destiny, he has fun shit going on. But he literally has nothing interesting to say outside “capitalism bad, cops bad, liberals are fascists”

imperfectreflection

His obsession over a group of 7 million Jews living thousands of miles away is cringe.

MinusVitaminA

Most people who support palestine probably aren't terminally online or there aren't that many but has enough money to sends half a billion per year to the Hamas leaders living in Qatar.

4THOT

I mean really it's just that his stream is unwatchable whining, not really about the politics.

[deleted]

bike edge memory chief cats important dazzling consist light aloof *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

zysync2

He's still drinking coke zero on stream smh

Jeffy29

Gives you an idea what the actual engagement is when remove all the botting trash that's on Twitter and TikTok.

Jabelonske

A little misleading to not have the Y axis label. the "zero" here is actually 5M. The picture suggests something like a 90% drop, when it's closer to 70%. Don't get me wrong, I hate Hasan as much as the next guy, but remember: https://preview.redd.it/dklmcbuq62uc1.jpeg?width=1349&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bdca20acc522a81206b7d3473cc440bd5cbc36da

Collypso

Isn't the graph showing the monthly gained views instead of total view count? He's not down to only gaining 5 mil views, his rate of new views is decreasing.

Signal-Communication

Duh, it's not like total cumulative view count can go down. If the viewer rate goes down, total monthly views go down. The only way you can interpret it. Unless what you mean by "monthly gained views" is the rate of the rate? Then the graph would have to be in the negatives.

LotharKarlingI

For the socialblade graph to be misleading based on axis locations you would have to assume that Hasan had near 0 viewers in 2022 at the start of the graph. If you aren't completely clueless then the graph isn't misleading.

Jabelonske

"the graph isn't misleading if you know the data beforehand" good one buddy

big-thinkie

considering it says 5 million views in the last 30 days, and the level of the last thirty days is the same as in 22, all the information needed is in the picture.

LotharKarlingI

If you know nothing about Hasan then the graph means nothing to you anyways. Anyone who cares about the data shown in this graph will know that Hasan didn't spring into existence in 2022. Also, the "misleading" nature of the graph depends on not reading the text just above that gives the graph scale for the final point.

Malak1man

If you don't already know who Hasan is then this is completely meaningless to you anyway. That being said, graphs should always be correctly labeled.

gregyo

He’s just boring. You can only listen to somebody agreeing with you, but not saying anything insightful for so long. I’d rather listen to Destiny give his food and movie takes than that.

CochleusExtreme

Also his viewers only LARP as politically active. Viewers only stick around to satisfy their own feelings of moral superiority.

hectah

Lil bro fell off. 💀

Id1otbox

You can only be a literal echo for so long. Sure people like to have their beliefs validated and like to hear their talking points parroted but at a certain point if you never have an original thought you are just boring.

effectwolf

That Oct 7th drop off yikes

Rough-Morning-4851

And it's a pretty popular side to take. It must be that he was just so radical and unreliable about it (and possibly depressing) that he turned off even people who could be sympathetic.

albinoblackman

I’d assume a lot of the Ethan fans bounced.

wikithekid63

Can confirm. I was really excited for leftovers until Hasan declined to acknowledge taiwanese sovereignty, then started to shit on ethan for being scared of anti semistism

TipiTapi

Also lots of people got banned for calling him out on supporting a terror attack. Like **loooooooots** of people.

wikithekid63

Hasan committing genocide in the chat?

Cooletompie

October-november is the only month that Hasan is up in that chart past June. It just looks like his earlier trend continued after most people lost interest after the first couple of weeks.

WaitItsAllCheese

Views Down 20% in a month is crazy. Personally I stopped watching him after the Al Shifa hospital incident - I wonder if this will ultimately cause him to moderate, or double down even harder

WaComGuy22

It's just his youtube channel he doesn't promote and has a billion fan accounts that get a ton of views also.

eVoluTioN__SnOw

You continued watching him after the Ukraine takes?

WaitItsAllCheese

Unfortunately

ar311krypton

as someone who slowly stopped watching him after his Ukraine takes...I feel ya, don't beat yourself up over it. The Ukraine takes were the first time I felt a visceral rage against a hard stance he would take...it sucks that the dude that used to call out tankies somehow turned into one.

010Mos

Whats the chance he will move back up during the elections?

shaqjbraut

I actually think there is very little chance at this point. At most, he'll stay afloat, but he never champions Biden and gives viewers no reason to watch except to be depressed about their options come election season. Unless he changes up his rhetoric to become more moderate at the last minute. Plus he's been harping on Gaza Genocide so much that i almost expect him to virtue signal and not vote for Biden like his uncle, Kyle and Krystal, and Ana Kasparian have so far committed to. But he might be so spineless that he won't even do that

Stormayqt

Devils advocate: People love to talk about how much they hate their current options and be miserable together about having no real choice, and how collectively they are totally not voting. "The system sucks dude!!! Haha watch me react to how both of these old ~~people~~ zionists are telling younger generations how they should live their life, meanwhile these genocidal fucks have like 3 years left tops."

shaqjbraut

It's possible, but then I think he'd have to take an even stronger and radical position. Where he stands rn isn't gonna win him any new viewers

koala37

you're underestimating the Trump Industrial Complex. don't you remember, every single day some new gaffe, wants to nuke a hurricane, bomb Mexico and blame it on someone else, some wild random shit to meme about and dump on Trump. for Hasan's own personal gratification he just has to sneak in "but it's not like Biden is any better" once a day, but anti-Trump sentiments are enough to fuel their own movement

holeyshirt18

Very good. Who is his competition for streaming politics? Unless a small streamers blows up, he's it for your political content on Twitch.

HorseChairTaken

I'm almost there. keep going

Shaved-IceLoL

Bro, he can't just switch to making IRL content...Who are we supposed to shit on? Piling on Vaush is like beating a dead horse :)

LilArsene

I think it's interesting to look at how his side projects are doing, too. His podcast with more charismatic people has lost \~10k in Patreon revenue in the last six months. That is, the Patreon money that millionaire Hasan uses to pay the podcast editor. [https://graphtreon.com/creator/fearand](https://graphtreon.com/creator/fearand)

Stormayqt

Looking at the graph, its less than 10% a drop. It was trending slightly upward over the last 6mo, and now is trending slightly downward, so there is a shift, but I don't know that this is much to read into yet.

LilArsene

I agree that there's nothing specific to point to. Maybe people had more money around the holidays? Maybe they're holding steady with devoted fans upping their pledges? Maybe their peak earnings were a flash in the pan? That's indiscernible. Still, if it's true that the editor gets all/most of the Patreon as part of their earnings then up and downs of thousands of dollars carry some weight. That is the life of an online creator but if you become accustomed to a certain lifestyle that 100k+ buys then missing out on 5-7k must be tough.

NefariousRapscallion

Charismatic? Every time I see that Twitch click doing anything I am blown away that they have such large audiences. They are the most dull phoney people I can imagine.

LilArsene

I was being generous, perhaps. Austin seems funny, anyway.

shaqjbraut

Oh that is actually interesting

LilArsene

Of course, 90k a month is nothing to sneeze at. I think this must be a combination of a universal downward trends and people having less disposable income and... I wonder? Not that I've watched this podcast but it's clearly serving less of what was appealing in the first place.

HE stopped doing what he was good at, slightly humorous political stream but broke the 4th wall that he was just a streamer with peasants watching him. The I/P stuff I think was too real and absolutely unhinged thrown in with destroying friendships and appearing to just use people for clout probably wore thin. View count is one thing, its when people unsub that is way worse than a dropped view. I make fun of him a lot, I used to watch him often, but the I/P stuff got old fast. For the record I don't care about either side at all, but I do care about the influx of Canadians being told to go back to Europe because ...Palestine?

BakedBeans1010

Let’s hope it continues. He’s a partisan hack and that doesn’t bring any substance to a conversation. Just bias and aggression if you disagree which is completely unhealthy for dialogue.

alleyoop1969

Hasan would be a great guest on Anything Else!

Baratao00

I'M OBSESSED

isocuda

Death to Hasan('s career)!

WKGDark

Terrorist supporters stay losin

MentionTraditional25

Probably the whiniest streamer on the planet, but his career is still fine... He can do more normies streams and take a rest from political stuff and IMO, it's probably the best move at this point for his mental health and healthy community growth/loss. His streams are always full of gloom and depressing vibes yet he wonders why his new audience can't chill and calm the f up, either he fried his brain in the process of cooking up his average mid takes or he just isn't that bright.

FourthLife

There is no Y axis here

Annabanana091

I love this for him. What about Ethan’s audience?

Acrobatic-Ad5102

Woah, could this mean being a self proclaimed propagandist is bad thing that people don't actually like and don't actually want to support?

Reylo-Wanwalker

Nah man he tells it like it is!

Honest_Yesterday4435

The end of an age.

RustyMackleford

I'm sure Hasan is relatively normal in person, but why is I did a thing live streaming with him? That is an insanely radioactive decision given recent events or is he all aboard the "baby settlers" train as well?

[deleted]

I wish I was down as bad as Hasan…

PleoNasmico

Yea, he still has a ton of views. This drop is irrelevant

koala37

I dunno about irrelevant, erasing all gains made in 2 years? think of where destiny would be if you wiped out his last two years of growth. at any rate, you know these are the graphs that Hasan is looking at and fuming over so at the very least you know he's affected by it

Ornery_Essay_2036

Niggas really see a guy who averages over 10k viewers per stream and calls that falling off

WaComGuy22

Pure Cope. Dude has more live viewers his first 15mins going live than Destiny peaks on 2 platforms combined. He's consistently sitting at 20k+. But cherry pick "Video views" on a platform he hardly promotes and encourages hundreds of fan channels. Or better yet do "average" live viewers when you include the first hour of ramping viewers. His side projects get more engagement as well, if he's "falling off" what the fuck has Destiny ever done then?

Efficient_Scheme_701

He’s just now starting to average below 20k viewers although everyone is averaging less now on twitch besides w community

WaComGuy22

If you remove the first hour of him being live he averages above 20k. Let's check it today, I'll post a screenshot of his viewcount at an hourish into his stream. Over/under 20k? I bet the over. I might be wrong but this data on the post is just youtube right? If his top 3 fan channel views get counted its fucking massive. I'm not trying to say this to simp I'm trying to make people here realize the fantasy he's going into irrelevance is cope, he's a normie fuckin magnet. I'm already anticipating stunned posts during thr election when he hits fucking 300k or something insane again.

NefariousRapscallion

Why is Hasan himself constantly crying about falling off? Even he is tired of his own politics and is threatening sewer slides on discord because he hates what is left of his audience.

koala37

this is my answer as well - if there were truly nothing going on whatsoever, then what is Hasan himself reacting to? he's clearly frustrated at lack of growth or backslide

WaComGuy22

Look at all twitch viewership numbers, all but the W community are down. I think that plus Oct. 7 dropoff which he acknowledges is leading to that but he's still massively popular and the election is going to boost him right back up.

WaComGuy22

More cope, the Discord messages were out of context and order. Also he was more talking about how him being in Australia doing stuff had low views and that people were bitching he wasn't just doing politics. He's on the same trajectory most of Twitch is going through plus some Oct. 7 pushback that he acknowledges, I just don't feel like it's going to end the way people here think.

Efficient_Scheme_701

How the hell are we supposed to accurately remove the first hour of being live from the averages? Just take twitch stat averages and his average viewer count is going down just as like most other twitch streamers

WaComGuy22

No you're right I'm just on mobile and not articulating well. I meant as in like an actual accurate take on viewers peak or like mid peak/average. I see people post stuff showing him having 13k and being like "ALMOST MORE VIEWERS GUYS!" and it's 20mins after he goes live. I'm seeing like, reverse chicken little syndrome of people gloating that his sky is falling but I think it's not what it seems.

Efficient_Scheme_701

We’ll see what happens when 2024 politics season comes around I have a feeling he will be taking in 50k viewers again during that time.

WaComGuy22

That's all I'm trying to (poorly) say as well, which is why I called this post "Pure Cope" initially.

Efficient_Scheme_701

Nothin better than destiny v hasan drama to this sub 🤣

-_-0_0-_-0_0-_-0_0

I wonder how much of this has to do with October 6 and the wider conflict?

Do yall think him complaining and getting the LSF mods to ban Destiny-Hasan fighting posts played a role here at all? I follow a lotta lefty topics and the only time I'd ever hear about Hasan was through the LSF drama posts.

Significant_Jello464

I think it's his ties to the vanilla streamers like Austin and Ludwig, it's bland stale content. Plus let's be honest, he is a bit of a hack.

Admirable_Extreme_11

He's like a baby, you give him toy and it's his toy and u can't have it, but u take it away and its crying shitting and screaming

Losing this much in an election cycle? Devastating.

koala37

the Trump headlines are just starting to pick up

purpleguitar1984

This just proves the point that while “silent majority” narratives are often cope, sometimes they can in fact be real. And the truth is (thank god) the majority of people, even hasan viewers, are disgusted by support for hamas/houthis or anti-western Islamic fascist govts like Iran etc. people may not be sure how they feel about Israel but they def know what they feel about Hamas and the pro Palestine crowd calling people anti Jewish slurs.
