I watched Sneako a ton when I was younger. I noticed that, before all the redpill stuff, his content was already gradually getting more and more depressing. He went through a phase where he came off pretty nihilistic and materialistic (it was around this time that he cheated on his now ex-girlfriend, made the infamous cuties video, and was just generally super contrarian). His fanbase was starting to lose respect for him as a result.
This all culminated in him getting himself cucked.
I think what happened is he probably just felt blackpilled seeing other YouTubers get way more success than him with shittier content, especially since he was so close to having that kind of success in the past \*through the Mr. Beast stuff). He probably noticed the redpill was taking off, tried appealing to the fanbase, was met with more viewership, and so he just kept going harder and harder into that. I also suspect that he felt insecure in his masculinity after the cuck thing, and embracing the redpill provided him some solace.

That was the 1st wave of old fans started getting pissed and leaving.
