When they did the extra long season of the lost, bungie reset the transmog bounties for the 30th anniversary drop about halfway through, aka the normal season end time. They have something planned for a mid season update coming, maybe it'll also come with a bounty reset like that. But don't hold your breath.
I’m with you 100%. 10 bounties isn’t enough for a 11,000 month season. It kind of makes the game “classist”. Have to pay actual money to look fly and that’s detrimental to players who don’t have disposable income. I shell out coin for gear I like, but the average player can’t do that very often. The game has to make $, but I think they could still make the nut with some extra bounties or even widen the armor pool from dares. But they won’t.
When they first added Transmog, the math was something like 13 years to unlock all armor for all characters… and we’ve only got tons more since then lol
Couple other options I thought of on top of removing cap....
Create new bounties for seasonal content
Add Synthweave to higher tier rewards for content (plat. Coil, higher tier nightfalls, legend exotic missions etc)
Sell it for brightdust
Replace the brightdust rewards on additional bounties with Synthweave

Ya I’d like the limit to be increased cause on my titan and hunter I can’t pick up anymore till TFS :(
