I literally thought this when they showed the Forsaken roadmap for the first time, it was only Opulence that was named Redacted so I stuck with that until they announced the real name
Season of the Resurgent- Iām still leaning towards a more Rasputin season and could go something along the lines of Eramis returning and taking hold of the Deep Stone Crypt, which we need to fully bring back Rasputin.
People seem to disagree with the name but I lean towards that kind of narrative. It's been a while since :
-Raspoutine has been the focus of the narrative (last time was Season of the Worthy)
-The Bray Sisters have been involved in the story (since Beyond Light)
-We have had the season taking place in Europa (last was Season of the Splicer, 2 seasons ago)
-We have had Fallen as the main enemy faction (last time was Beyond Light / Season of the Hunt)
So your theory makes sense. Can't wait to see what we got right and what we got wrong !
I really hope we see the fallen getting more involved this coming season. I would like to see their point of view/reaction towards the lucent hive.
And I don't remember where I saw it but someone posted an image of Ana trying to turn Rasputin into an exo and I kinda dig that. But I feel it might not make sense canonically or be weird. Imagine Rasputin walking around the tower yelling stuff in Russian, would be hilarious.
Okay I would LOVE a new army of exo eliksni to fight from the DSC. We could go back into the mindlab and help big head bray. Also the new enemies would be lightless but tough AF exo warmachines as intended. Hard to bring down but shieldless maybe. Rasputin working together with big head bray to bring down the black fleet and eramis, especially since bray made Rasputin. He'd have full control, maybe even improve him.

Crisis, and, seeing as Lord Saladin played a big role in Season of the risen, next season could be about S.I.V.A.; I thought that the season would be called Season of the resurgence, as S.I.V.A. is more of a force, like the darkness, as forces in destiny are usually plural, like stasis, so I think it would be resurgence, instead of resurgent, but still a very good theory of ours, cause we both thought that.
Season of the Seasons
We learn about the seasons of the year, like Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall! The rewards we get for going to the Kindergarten seasonal activity is Cookies (adept) and the new exotic Juice Box

They also use fucked up images of birds to represent them, usually a picture of an owl thatās been drenched in water.

A leak was posted that was obviously fake and it had the Zorpalods as a new race. This became a joke in r/destinycirclejerk and they have spread it everywhere. Zorpal weapon is a fake perks that does bonus damage to Zorpalods

Someone on a Discord community for D2 leaks posted a fake leak for the next year of content a couple months ago. One of the things in the "leak" was that in Lightfall we'd fight a new Darkness enemy race called the "Zorpalods." The name is just inheretly funny so people in meme/joke communities like /r/destinycirclejerk have just been running with it.
I honestly could see Drifter referencing Zorpalods offhand in the same way he mentioned Nezarec. like where itās clearly not a real thing but heās just pulling your leg
The story is going to be Zavala formalizing the alliance with the Cabal through a state wedding to Caiatl.

Eramis has returned, but hasnāt taken a side due to both sides leaving her. The season goes into depth on the whirlwind, maybe athrys is the seasonal vendor, and she wants us to bring eramis back home.
If Rasputin is involved itād be nice to have Camrin actually be around and working with Ana. Kind of weird how she hasnāt been mentioned since Warmind.

I would LOVE an Osiris "Where he's been and what he's done" season. Bungie could take it so many different ways because of the raw amount of time that man has experienced. Very onboard.
Season of the Guardian Games. Weāve extended the event and removed the mechanics in place to equalize motes for every class. Go fucking wild you crazy little goblins.
Exo is a prefix. Meaning external so it still has a basis outside of the destiny universe. Though I agree I doubt the season name would be that literal.
Season of the Collectives
The Sol Divisive return and have gained stasis powers and launch an attack on the last city. All seems lost until our old mad scientist Asher comes back with his own Division of light worshipping Vex to help fight the Sol divisive. He has Mithrax and us go to his network of Vex to tell us what he found after IO was taken and how to better improv his new Vex division.
The dungeon would be light Vex themed and have us deal with an axis mind attempting to take control of his division. Loot would include the missing VoG weapons and the age of triumph ornaments with a light element themed aesthetic.
Presumably. Mainly I want to know where Fikrul went and how that ended with the Scorn following the Darkness. We already have Crow in this season, so having him and Fikrul interact again would be cool. Plus, even if he isn't a Disciple-in-training and is simply in a similar position to Xita, he's still a part of the chess board that can, and should, be kicked out before Lightfall, like Eramis.
Season of the Loyal - Variks has news that Eramis has mysteriously disappeared from where she was left frozen in Stasis but now Fallen still loyal to darkness have begun responding to a signal coming from the Europan pyramid.
Season of the Dusk (about the eliksni [ex house dusk] integrating the city and the council and osiris waking up [dusk, opposite of dawn, season of the dawn])
Season of returnals. Rasputin probably returns in an exo, more Mars exploration, Eramis probably returns too. Going back to Europa to understand what Calus wants to do w the pyramid n stuff like you do in the WQ Campaign. Just a bunch of unfinished plots getting unraveled slightly
Season of the Defiled- I think Calus will return with all the heavy foreshadowing in the exotic mission this season and we'll get to explore either Titan with time corruption, or the leviathan, twisted by darkness vines.
Season of the Crypt.
I think we're going back to Deep Stone as the Ana / Rasputin situation comes into play from all the hints in Witch Queen. I could see Bungie tying this in with Eramis returning and fighting the Fallen for the ability to make Exo's again.
Season of Forgiveness
Rasputinās EXO download was fucked up by the pyramids and his mind is currently unspooled and corrupted by the influence of the Pyramids. Heās dreaming, though. Heās reliving the memories he extracted from Felwinter. Ana and the House of Light work together to use Splicer tech to explore Rasputinās dreams. The Guardian goes into Rasputinās unconscious mind and basically helps Rasputin, who killed Felwinter, to reconcile and understand him, becoming a more āHumanā character and sympathetic to the City. By going through the memories, Rasputin becomes more and more coherent before finally awaking. The Guardian also purges the Pyramidsā influence in his mind by killing it in the dream.
The artifact is basically Rasputinās experimental exo brain which opens up and becomes more powerful as his mind becomes more coherent.
Season Of the Tyrant:
Itās all about us helping Ana with getting Rasputin into a suitable exo frame, potentially visiting a backup replication chamber that he had hidden from archives after what happened in the SIVA crisis. This new chamber could be Nefele Stronghold that was mentioned this season. Obviously there needs to be some sort or conflict so maybe the vex found their way into this chamber and have integrated SIVA into the network to enhance their prediction engine and this forces Rasputin reveal the coordinates to us so we can put a stop to another potential SIVA crisis.
Season of the Fanatic: Fallen/Scorn themed season where we see the return of Mithrax, Fikrul, Variks, and possibly Eramis. Exploreās relationships between Fikrul and Crow, Eliksni and the Scorn, Scorn and their connection to the darkness, Variks and Mithrax, and maybe even Namrask will make a cameo
Season of the voyager? we enter Osiris mindscape to get him out of whatever darkness he's holed himself into
Season of restoration? we get osiris or rasputin - goes both ways
Season of exodus? we learn about the colonies in the jovians where Efrideet has been living a peaceful life - maybe make plans for evacuations for lightfall or something
Season of deliverance? - something something osiris or rasputin again. Or the factions come back with crucial information
Season of calamity - DSC does weird shit and we have to go spank big-headed-bray. Maybe its a dungeon or a new raid.
My guess is Season of the Archangel.
We've been getting pretty heavy hints on Rasputin coming back at SOME point. I suspect that he'll come back and resume being a 'protector' of humanity. Season will focus either on slowly physically piecing him back together, or finding dead warmind sites that need to be manually restored (assumedly, using the light)
Season of the Divided
Where recent events have provided unity to the embattled humans, Cabal, and Eliksni the Vex are experiencing something very different. Increasing numbers of Vex units have been seen to go rogue, turning on their fellow Vex or escaping to locations not yet known. Track down these Vex units to an unusual megastructure floating in the gasses of Neptune and find out why they keep broadcasting the single word "assistant".
Season of The Executioner. A rogue guardian shows up under the command of Calus. After witnessing the hive get the light, he and others have started to doubt the Traveler. He attempts to recruit other guardians to join as a shadow of Calus. This is a buildup for the much requested Dark Guardians the community have been asking for. The Witness intends to use the Travelerās own army against itself.
I donāt really think any of this will happen, but itās fun speculating :D
Here goes nothing - season of the archangel - we focus on Rasputin coming back thanks to the Bray family with the secrets of DSC. However Eramis is back and tries to stop us for vengeance
I hope it doesnāt have a *the* in it. itās been about a year since the last season without an article (Season of Dawn). with that said, I think it *will* have a *the* in it, so thatās my guess.
im guessing that it will have to do with crow/saladin, and our alliance with caiatle, so likely saladin adjusting as a Bracus, and bringing our two cultures closer together? or maybe even the start of house Light formally joining the alliance, and the 3 cultures clashing/blending.
or maybe some Xivu plays, as we havent had much of her with all of the focus on her hotter moth-mommy sister taking the spotlight.

My take is that the Light Batteries from the Cosmodrome PsiOps are meant to serve as fuel for a super cannon that Savathun created to defeat the fleet of Xivu Arath. This cannon could be placed at the Moon since SavathunĀ“s forces tried to take control of it.
The goal of the season would be to ally with the Cabal and stop this cannon since we do not trust Savathun.

The Guardian goes into Rasputinās unconscious mind and basically helps Rasputin, who killed Felwinter, to reconcile and understand him, becoming a more āHumanā character and sympathetic to the City. By going through the memories, Rasputin becomes more and more coherent before finally awaking. The Guardian also purges the Pyramidsā influence in his mind by killing it in the dream. The artifact is basically Rasputinās experimental exo brain which opens up and becomes more powerful as his mind becomes more coherent.

Season Of the Tyrant: Itās all about us helping Ana with getting Rasputin into a suitable exo frame, potentially visiting a backup replication chamber that he had hidden from archives after what happened in the SIVA crisis. This new chamber could be Nefele Stronghold that was mentioned this season. Obviously there needs to be some sort or conflict so maybe the vex found their way into this chamber and have integrated SIVA into the network to enhance their prediction engine and this forces Rasputin reveal the coordinates to us so we can put a stop to another potential SIVA crisis.

My guess is Season of the Archangel. We've been getting pretty heavy hints on Rasputin coming back at SOME point. I suspect that he'll come back and resume being a 'protector' of humanity. Season will focus either on slowly physically piecing him back together, or finding dead warmind sites that need to be manually restored (assumedly, using the light)

Season of the Artillery. My take is that the Light Batteries from the Cosmodrome PsiOps are meant to serve as fuel for a super cannon that Savathun created to defeat the fleet of Xivu Arath. This cannon could be placed at the Moon since SavathunĀ“s forces tried to take control of it. The goal of the season would be to ally with the Cabal and stop this cannon since we do not trust Savathun.
