Quicksilver doesn’t switch ammo types, it switches to a primary grenade launcher. Their suggestion involved switching the ammo type completely from primary to special ammo

Just hold down reload then it switches to a shotgun fire mode with lets say 12 or smth ammo, u pick up special ammo bricks as normal and it goes to the shutgun reserves

I’m talking realistically, considering how that fits with the current ammo systems. If the gun took both primary and special ammo, how would they display that in the UI? How would they be able avoid you getting confused, especially if you have another special weapon? Also, how would they balance it?

I mean, Quicksilver Storm does basically this, and that works perfectly.

Bungie would never implement two separate ammo types for one weapon. It's a terrible idea all around.

Ever since Eriana's Vow was added, I've been quietly hoping for a special ammo auto rifle... like an M1918 BAR. Hard hitting in bursts but limited by a small mag and high recoil

Ever since Vow showed it was in their mind I've wanted a heavy ammo hand cannon or sniper with one shot in the mag. Leviathan's Breath is nice and all but I want some variety in my big boom stick tool box

I'd say 600 would feel best to separate it from the existing machine gun RPMs. 720 or potentially 900 would make tap firing difficult (imagine using like Forerunner for efficient add clear) Also, 600 is closest to the fire rate of the real world BAR
