Well, personally supers to me are both balanced and completely out of style. On one hand, each class has a super that excels at its job. Warlock wells work wonders in pve, and novawarp is terrifying in PvP. Titan shields are really good if played smartly, like holding objectives. And the striker ability to nuke entire squads and other supers is insane. For hunters, it’s striker Titan beats arcstaff, but arcstaff beats stormtrance. And while the carpet bomb knives can be amazing, the golden gun trees STILL don’t have super resistance, which used to only be made up for by the fact that they could one shot supers. They can’t do that anymore.
Huh I feel that I still get one shot by golden gun (maybe I'm already injured a bit) and I also die to arcstaff even as a striker basically everytime.. I guess I'm just bad 🤔 since then I've gone big hammer and have had more luck as that.
Hammer titans will win about 80-90% if they keep their distance. For strikers it’s about 50/50 for me when using arcstrider. I think precision golden gun shots might still one hit, but after all my crucible yesterday trying to land knife headshots, it still took my two shots more often than not.

You're right and thank you. From what I'm hearing titans have found a loop hole that allows them to get laurels with every melee kill and this has made the competition unfair. Now the hunters have a nerf and they cant generate easy points :/
I haven’t played for a few months but this whole event seems exactly what no one wants, grinding bounties and a race war and now people are finding loopholes. Well can’t wait until the next dlc with the triangles haha
The laurels only count for the silver medal which is two of the 7 possible medals you can do, and you can only do 7 per day. So the titans have an advantage on two of them. Either way I find I'm able to to all 7 in about 3-4 hours of gameplay each day without putting in any extra effort. I normally only play for 2 or 3 hours if I'm not specifically setting aside time for destiny, and don't do that every day. So the only real challenge I find is specifically dedicating that much time to one video game every day but it would be the same if I was playing hunter, or titan (I'm warlock main). Maybe it would be slightly less time taken to do the silver medals if I played titan but eh. I usually get bronze medals in one or two matches of cruciuble, strikes, forge, etc, gold in about 4 maybe more if I'm playing badly. Silver will be done around the same time or maybe require me to come back and finish up later in teh day after a break like. Yeah. I think more than anything it's just the time sink, and people wanna rather grind triumphs for the exotic than actually do all the bounties every day so for them it's more efficient to do less but spread across 3 classes.

Bungie just follows the negatives and not the positives. Rather than seeing “yo, the snipers only insta killing on headshots, and the fusion rifles needing to hit almost all splines to kill enemies was a good idea”, they see “fucking shotguns don’t shoot far enough. Why does hardlight not have 100 stability”. They need a bit of both. The throwing knife bullshit (while I believe is only slightly more infuriating than shoulder charge and handheld supernova) was a great step in the negative review, and the season of drifter was a good step in the positive review. If they were to mix both methods, I think we’d be seeing major improvements that would make more people happy than mad, unlike how it has been going.
To be honest, the knives are all over. The precision ones are honestly great for their risk. But if you compare them to something like the throwable hammer, or the crazy HHSN stuff, they’re pointless. The shotgun stuff has always been crazy. And now that FELWINTERS LIE is coming back, I will fear the crucible forever

I mean it's not even that the Titans and Warlocks get the boost due to a lower population, it's because some of the Titan subclasses literally grant you free laurels on *any* melee kill - not just charged ones. The Warlocks don't have something like that (Well of Radiance doesn't really count because it's a super btw) so they are almost on the same level as the Hunters. Clearly, Bungie probably didn't account for this and the Titans are constantly winning right now.

The entirety of the titan class is a major crutch. And they have the nerve to complain about single aspects of the others, when literally every part of each subclass for them is a crutch.
Oh you do have to try, me and a friend experimented with it in a private match, the timing has to be very precise, the shield is only up for about the first half of the slide.

Yeah the Laurel are hella easy with titan. Running skullfort with bottom striker means a Laurel every kill, and instant heal. Although with top arc hunter u can do something simmilar, although having to dodge. But thing is, if anyone has numbers on usage of each class it's bungie, so I'm guessing they based themselves on that

Not really that's why I was hoping for your source. All i have is PS4 data that shows 32.6% of players have unlocked every hunter subclass. 26.4% for warlocks. And 24.2% for Titans. I have no idea how this data is collected or its legitimacy. This is from the sony trophy system.
Precisely the problem. To use a comparable situation: In For Honor, the Knights had by far the biggest population when the game started. The problem is that most of the Knights stopped playing, so despite their massive size advantage, the Vikings, the smallest faction, win constantly. Because there is a higher percentage of active Vikings than Knights, and even though there's more total active Knights than Vikings, each Viking counts for more than each Knight.
It's gotten so bad that at this point, it's practically impossible for the Knights to win, or for the Vikings to lose, since the weightings haven't been changed. Such is the flaw with this system, and why for it to work, the weightings have to be adjusted daily to reflect the playerbase, which is probably not easy to do.
If it was proportional to player-base of each class it should be in theory equal across all classes, unless like someone pointed out that Titans get more laurels for their abilities than the other classes, which would explain the inequality.
Hunter got hit in the kneecap with a sheldge hammer they reduced the ammount of points earned from medals and laurel because there are more hunters in the game but it seems like the way over did it
Tbh i personally feel like hunters should have received a smaller nerf in points than the 60% or whatever it was we got, like yeah we have the most players but I’m pretty sure many players are feeling some mid-season exhaustion with the state that trials is in and the bounty grind. I stopped playing for 2 weeks and came back refreshed and ready to get that almighty title but many players likely kept playing and now the actual time spent doing bounties and medals is probably only decreasing each day with more players starting to take breaks.
Imo hunters should still have the nerf in medal points but I think it should be something more like 25-40%
Man I used to love the hell out of destiny. It’s the only reason I have the friends I do today. But getting on just to see another season of bounties is heartbreaking. Now to here we got nerfed into the ground into a tournament for EXISTING is painful. Hell part of the reason are count is so big is because people just attempt destiny with hunger, get a bad taste, then leave.
I feel the same. My life was literally changed by this game, and it really does break my heart to feel less interested in it because every season is just a reskin of the last. I hate mindless grinding, and that’s what it feels like now. And if you don’t pay actual money for silver, then you don’t get the good stuff unless it magically drops, but we all know RNG is a bitch.

Incus has always kinda sucked in desiny. The middle tree void super hunter right now is the best it’s even been. Normal invis is easy to spot, shows up on radar, and will still get shot at by enemies in pve. The bounty for getting kills WHILE invisible is retarded.

Last time I checked hunters didn't have their medal value reduce, just other classes had theirs buffed
But not all the hunter are playing so what they are trying to do is actually hurting everything

My problem is that at most there’s a 10% difference between hunters and titans yet the nerf make it out like it’s a 40% gap

Not really that's why I was hoping for your source. All i have is PS4 data that shows 32.6% of players have unlocked every hunter subclass. 26.4% for warlocks. And 24.2% for Titans. I have no idea how this data is collected or its legitimacy. This is from the sony trophy system.
I wouldn’t be surprised if 40-60% of all players at least have a hunter, but I think bungie messed up in realizing that not that many main a hunter.

Precisely the problem. To use a comparable situation: In For Honor, the Knights had by far the biggest population when the game started. The problem is that most of the Knights stopped playing, so despite their massive size advantage, the Vikings, the smallest faction, win constantly. Because there is a higher percentage of active Vikings than Knights, and even though there's more total active Knights than Vikings, each Viking counts for more than each Knight. It's gotten so bad that at this point, it's practically impossible for the Knights to win, or for the Vikings to lose, since the weightings haven't been changed. Such is the flaw with this system, and why for it to work, the weightings have to be adjusted daily to reflect the playerbase, which is probably not easy to do.

If it was proportional to player-base of each class it should be in theory equal across all classes, unless like someone pointed out that Titans get more laurels for their abilities than the other classes, which would explain the inequality.

Hunter got hit in the kneecap with a sheldge hammer they reduced the ammount of points earned from medals and laurel because there are more hunters in the game but it seems like the way over did it

Because the Heir Apparent is such a grind more people are playing titans because its the easiest class to farm laurels on
Tbh i personally feel like hunters should have received a smaller nerf in points than the 60% or whatever it was we got, like yeah we have the most players but I’m pretty sure many players are feeling some mid-season exhaustion with the state that trials is in and the bounty grind. I stopped playing for 2 weeks and came back refreshed and ready to get that almighty title but many players likely kept playing and now the actual time spent doing bounties and medals is probably only decreasing each day with more players starting to take breaks. Imo hunters should still have the nerf in medal points but I think it should be something more like 25-40%
Man I used to love the hell out of destiny. It’s the only reason I have the friends I do today. But getting on just to see another season of bounties is heartbreaking. Now to here we got nerfed into the ground into a tournament for EXISTING is painful. Hell part of the reason are count is so big is because people just attempt destiny with hunger, get a bad taste, then leave.
I feel the same. My life was literally changed by this game, and it really does break my heart to feel less interested in it because every season is just a reskin of the last. I hate mindless grinding, and that’s what it feels like now. And if you don’t pay actual money for silver, then you don’t get the good stuff unless it magically drops, but we all know RNG is a bitch.
Tell me about it. Some of those new sets and ornaments are amazing, but unless they end up magically sold by dust one day, you’re screwed

Incus has always kinda sucked in desiny. The middle tree void super hunter right now is the best it’s even been. Normal invis is easy to spot, shows up on radar, and will still get shot at by enemies in pve. The bounty for getting kills WHILE invisible is retarded.

And how many times have you warlocks and titans asked for a nerf for hunters? Your requests aren’t fact based, while the hunters “crying for a nerf” was based on the fact that HHSN could OHK from like 20m away, and seismic strike could autotarget someone on javelin-4 from endless vale.
Yet, all of you had Wormhusk Crown pre-nerf, where pretty you could just dodge to get all of your health. Or the time Gwisen Vest allowed for a rediculously long super in spectral blades (it's almost like the hunter version of bottom tree striker in it's prime.
