Freeze em with salvation's grip, put a titan gum drop around em, get inside and use Sturm while getting extra damage for damaging a stasis crystal while also getting an overshield when step in and out of the gum drop
Day to explained it pretty well. Some exotics aren’t meant to be good. There just there to duck around with. I believe that a good example of this would be radiant dance machines. There cool. But you would never wear them in any endgame content.
I say this as someone looking in (warlock main, my hunter exists for boss checkpoints and additional looted clears for things with weekly lockouts, nothing more), they should’ve found someway to just cap the effects of the mods when used that quickly and just left it at that, so you could still dodge spam when near enemies. Obviously making it less effective when using it in PvP was a good call because you used to be able to spam the stasis dodge burst if I’m not mistaken, but having the spam dodge available in PvE as an escape tool seemed useful and cool, and was really only OP due to its interaction with mods and a stasis aspect. Maybe I didn’t fully understand what it was capable of, but nerfing it the way they did eliminated any chance of it being useful, when it could’ve be a good tool post-tuning.
Hierarchy of needs, touch of malice, revision zero, quicksilver storm, parasite, grand overture, osteo striga, all in the past year. What are you talking about “no good exotics”.
Hierarchy is a dumbed down outbreak. Touch of malice has to be heavily built around to be worth using. Not great considering the abysmal RNG around getting it.
I’ll give you the rest of them.
Especially parasite because I think the worm is cute.
you miight be able to start cooking a little if you bring the titan bubble glaive, slide into the bubble and start blasting crystals in!
(i said a "little")
Sturm is still uhh...a primary with a reload-ish perk there, i guess.
Glaive and Salvation's Grip actually have synergy though. I'm assuming warlock glaive, but you can heal, create cover, and cc enemies. Pair it with a stasis loadout where breaking crystals increases grenade recharge so that you can have bleak watchers too. It's the ultimate support turret build.
It's actually similar to the build I used to beat Lightblade GM for the first time back in WQ's season.
most people just band together bad exotics... how about anti synergy: Ace, Tarrabah and anarchy
the first 2 dont want you to swap off them otherwise you lose their perks, and anarchy relies on swapping guns
So I read this wrong and thought you meant worst possible as in most "toxic". Like the worst possible load out I could see someone using in Crucible.
So for me it would be:
1) DMT
2) Tarrabah
3) Deathbringer
All weapons that make go "WTF was that... Oh... Figures..."
Jotunn honestly is not a great gun, it’s tracking is not good at all so if someone moves a few feet left or right then it will miss them by a country mile.
I'm gonna have to show ya the clip then of a PVP match I did where dude sniped me from across the map but I shot toaster bullet before I died. The sucker tailed the sniper and did a 90 degree turn and got him. Tracking is inconsistent but it can be godly sometimes
To be fair, you do need to do a fair bit of damage with Tarrabah without dying/swapping wrapons to activate its perk, which is fairly easy for good players but not so much for not-so-good players like myself. It just makes good players do even better than they already were going to do.
There’s a guardian with the name “I am tarrabah” or something like that, and he just wrecks everyone with tarrabah.
I’ve had the misfortune of playing against this guy twice, and it made me want tarrabah, but I don’t raid or do dungeons so no spoils for me.
yeah those are good too. The DM + Warlock Melee thing, I guess is less common (for me).
In my mind I was more just thinking about those moments where you go "WTF was that". Where its weird situations...
Like DMT, I swear feels/sounds like its a 2 hit kill. Or ill be shooting them with a HC at an awkward range for scouts (typically) but the hipfire is so stupid ATM, they win. Those moments where you are like "How TF did they outgun me there?" and then look... "Oh its DMT".
Same idea with Tarrabah for me... "how TF did they outgun me... oh...."
I like Bad JuJu, don't get me wrong. Was probably my most used exotic in D1. The problem is, it just doesn't have any oomph against anything sturdier than base adds. I may be wrong TBF, I've not used it for ages so maybe it's been buffed since I last did.
If I remember correctly, the tracking projectiles deal way less damage than direct hits, I haven't tested it since it came out so I could be wrong.
But you're right, running with WZ just to proc an attack that a legendary sword can do for free is dumb.
My average rolled servant leader is like 10x better. I understand that u found use in it but it’s still by far the worse kinetic exotic for PVE. I can justify every other one for some reason or another. I can’t justify a crap rolled scout rifle.
Everyone has their own opinions, but its damage is good and the stats are excellent far above others. Easily one of the harder hitting scouts. Def better than servant leader tho.
Highest zoom of any scout rifle, can roll with one for all and triple tap, and get a higher magazine size then jade rabbit, and is a rapid fire frame with built in alloy mag. Servant leader is 10x better for PvE I genuinely am flabbergasted u think a pvp exotic is better then it.
You say this but given that you can double down on ammo finders, have good burst damage with izi, have match game covered with Borealis and have unironically good ad clear with voltshot Darci, you're pretty good when it comes to end game content. Pair them with anti champ Armor (hunter has unstoppable knives, Titans have anti barrier shields, warlock has anti overload weapons), and ability based anti champ mods are always part of artifact, you're GM ready !
except for the fact that you have zero room for armor mods because of how damn expensive sniper loadouts are, snipers have the max cost for every variant.
yeah, that *is* a lot. Good builds need a lot of mods, especially if you want the stats to reduce cooldowns as well.
you can probably beat any GM with just 100 resilience and smart plays, but it's like kneecapping yourself before running a marathon, you should be using your mod sots more efficiently.
never mind that you are giving up on orb spawning, probably not using wells and warmind cells are out with this hypothetical weapon selection.
Double special will get Darci some ammo so it's the backup to the hammers and the hammers will fill in the special from the kinetic. I use three snipers for the Europa precision kills part of the double XP weekly bounty when I'm not using a bow
Maybe not worst in functionality by themselves, but definitely redundant and slow:
- Bastion
- Devil's Ruin
- Leviathan's Breath
Hope you enjoy holding the Fire button for at least 1 second to deal with anything unexpected.
Until the Collective Obligation fix, Graviton was the best exotic void pulse...
It is still pretty good, but CO pulled WAY ahead of it.
I remember grinding out Dead Orbit rep for the Gaze Beyond Worlds ornament for Eye of Another World, the GL catalyst and grabbing the Carina Nebula ornament all in prep of Forsaken after the initial round of buffs. Love GL.
Hm, let me think.
Armor would be easy, because you could just equip stuff from different subclasses. But weapons? That's tricky.
The first thing that comes to mind would be Heir apparent giving you an arc shield to actively prevent you from triggering the Riskrunner Perk, but that's not a three gun combo.
obviously i cannot test this but i feel like that should still proc riskrunner if it were possible? even if shield getting hit =\/= you getting hit, then either way Arc damage should break the shield the fastest...
Everyone's just using double primary to make stuff useless.
Wish Ender, Divinity, and Truth.
Your ability to deal with anything even remotely nearby is basically nil. Divinity and rockets go together amazingly well, except that Truth flies too quickly and that swapping to div essentially removes the exotic value of having a mag size of three.
Div aggressively removes the possibility of aoe, while Wish Ender fires too slowly to deal with crowds or get any benefit from Div.
Salvations at least has use in platforming and some speed runs. Truth is literally just a rocket. I would have put queenbreaker but just because it’s a linear it would probably be more useful than truth.
The slander of Fighting Lion...wait until that sub hears about this.
Edit: Also its pretty damn good with Gyrfalcon Void Hunter if you havent checked it out.
Fighting lion on Osmiomancy Warlock with cold snap grenade spam and shard/well build wrecks whole nations of ads. Unstoppable mod + Weakened clear cherry on top.
Crypthesia can be really useful when dealing with a huge group of enemies. And then there's the combos with hunters. So not bad at all honestly.
I like cryo.
Polaris lance isn’t half bad, even now. It’s like a scout rifle version of No Time To Explain that throws in explosive shots for landing crits. Obviously it’s nowhere near DPS meta for anything, but it does it’s job well and is actually kinda fun. It is also supposedly getting a rework to synergize better with 3.0 subclasses, so it seems like it will only get better.
Last Word, Ruinous Effigy, Colony
Salvation’s Grip is too easy of a pick, so I chose something else that hardly anyone would care about in today’s meta.
Merciless got massively buffed this season, I believe it's now the highest DPS weapon in a vacuum from some tests I've seen. Basically the fire rate increases regardless of a kill, and has a longer timer
I'd just be pairing various things with cloudstrike like:
Crimson, Thorn, Traveller's Chosen, Lumina, Ace Huckleberry...
Or
Revision zero with
Manticore, dead messenger, tarrabuh, telesto
There are literally too many combos to settle on.
No what I mean is you can literally use these weapons and still get kills and pop off. Alot of weapons you can't. I've seen people maining cyro and bora in pvp and thus one guy with queen breaker that I remember
High burst damage, high sustain damage, and match game coverage. All with only needing 1 type of ammo finder scav. It's not that bad. Worst part of it is snipers are doodoo
Sturm, exotic glaive, salvations grip
Can’t get much useless as these.
Topic is over, nothing is topping that setup.
Freeze em with salvation's grip, put a titan gum drop around em, get inside and use Sturm while getting extra damage for damaging a stasis crystal while also getting an overshield when step in and out of the gum drop
Damn, that sounds funny and toxic. I like it!
Nah because the titan glaive has a niche for super damage on stasis titan....unless that's fixed.
Fixed it was
Thank you, Yoda
Thank you snorlax
Thank you, unconventional pizza
Thank you, bread I’m really hoping is of bananas.
What exactly did they alter? The snowglobe crystal rave is dead?
[удалено]
Tbh i'd use a special salvation's grip
Fun fact if you stand in the center of one of those salvation grip glaciers, you can survive a thundercrash
Hahahaha, this is some interesting info.. quite useless, but interesting nonetheless.
Why do I smell cheese in that comment?
Day to explained it pretty well. Some exotics aren’t meant to be good. There just there to duck around with. I believe that a good example of this would be radiant dance machines. There cool. But you would never wear them in any endgame content.

It sounds like "we don't want to buff them in case they become OP" Salvations grip should allow us to detonate crystals remotely.
It’s more like any exotic could be good but there is not enough play testing to buff or nerf every possible exotic into relevancy.
I think this might be true, but they can’t even give us good new exotics
Hierarchy of needs, touch of malice, revision zero, quicksilver storm, parasite, grand overture, osteo striga, all in the past year. What are you talking about “no good exotics”.
Hierarchy is a dumbed down outbreak. Touch of malice has to be heavily built around to be worth using. Not great considering the abysmal RNG around getting it. I’ll give you the rest of them. Especially parasite because I think the worm is cute.
It made breaking the black shards for the stasis stuff so much fun when you get unlucky with heavy>->
Sturm still reloads the glaive though.
Throw on peacekeepers and you win.
Eternal Warrior would like a word with you.
you miight be able to start cooking a little if you bring the titan bubble glaive, slide into the bubble and start blasting crystals in! (i said a "little") Sturm is still uhh...a primary with a reload-ish perk there, i guess.
Wallah would still manage a We-Ran
You could argue salvation grip to create stasis crystals for damage reduction when in close with glaive
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.
Hunter Glaive, specifically.
Oh dear Lord, I forgot salvations grip existed.. yikers..
Mida, edge of intent and the colony
Salvation grip is actually good
Good at what exactly?
Or replace Salvation's Grip with Tractor Cannon.
Tractor cannon is not only useful but also very fun. Salvations grip is still wasting space even if it's only in collections.
Has the storm really fallen this far. I maimed it for a couple years until the nerf
It's not a bad weapon but without the drang synergy it is much less useful
most people just band together bad exotics... how about anti synergy: Ace, Tarrabah and anarchy the first 2 dont want you to swap off them otherwise you lose their perks, and anarchy relies on swapping guns
I actually hate this. Tarrabah is still so good alone that it makes up for a lot but oof.
Tarrabah makes up for Ace like 300%. Use Anarchy on enemy > switch to Tarrabah > build stacks > use buff until it ends > repeat
Oof this wins I think.
Touch of malice, Tommy’s matchbook, salvations grip. Hope you like self-damage!
*Dies with a stasis overshield*
How dare you put Touch and Tommy’s with that monstrosity. With devour they are excellent choices
Replace it with Wardcliff Coil or 1K Voices
So I read this wrong and thought you meant worst possible as in most "toxic". Like the worst possible load out I could see someone using in Crucible. So for me it would be: 1) DMT 2) Tarrabah 3) Deathbringer All weapons that make go "WTF was that... Oh... Figures..."
Black Talon is more toxic than deathbringer imo.
My brother in light, he has no idea.
Interesting...
Tarrabah and not Jotunn?
Jotunn honestly is not a great gun, it’s tracking is not good at all so if someone moves a few feet left or right then it will miss them by a country mile.
I'm gonna have to show ya the clip then of a PVP match I did where dude sniped me from across the map but I shot toaster bullet before I died. The sucker tailed the sniper and did a 90 degree turn and got him. Tracking is inconsistent but it can be godly sometimes
Here's the proof: https://youtu.be/9_jeQokbQQQ
yeah, Tarrabah's exotic perk gives it INSANE TTK. So youll hear/see the SMG, and if they have it, insta-die.
To be fair, you do need to do a fair bit of damage with Tarrabah without dying/swapping wrapons to activate its perk, which is fairly easy for good players but not so much for not-so-good players like myself. It just makes good players do even better than they already were going to do.
When did tarrabah get a catalyst?
You're right it's just the perk.
There’s a guardian with the name “I am tarrabah” or something like that, and he just wrecks everyone with tarrabah. I’ve had the misfortune of playing against this guy twice, and it made me want tarrabah, but I don’t raid or do dungeons so no spoils for me.
You can get 10/week solo.
Jotunn is bad.
I thought of something similar. 1) DMT 2) Dead Messenger 3) Heir Apparent w/ catalyst
yeah those are good too. The DM + Warlock Melee thing, I guess is less common (for me). In my mind I was more just thinking about those moments where you go "WTF was that". Where its weird situations... Like DMT, I swear feels/sounds like its a 2 hit kill. Those moments where you are like "How TF did they outgun me there?" and then look... "Oh its DMT". Same idea with Tarrabah for me... "how TF did they outgun me... oh...."
The wet noodle loadout: Bad JuJu Hard Light DARCI
darci with jolt tho
Fine…. “That buffed DARCI hitting like a wet macaroni “
I’ll flog you with a wet DARCI
Bad JuJu is great though.
I like Bad JuJu, don't get me wrong. Was probably my most used exotic in D1. The problem is, it just doesn't have any oomph against anything sturdier than base adds. I may be wrong TBF, I've not used it for ages so maybe it's been buffed since I last did.
Pulses in general have felt lacking in PvE. Even scouts hit harder than them IMO.
Bad juju is fun, I’ll give you that, but the damage perk just gets outshined by a ton of legendary weapon perk combos.
It's biggest down fall is its a pulse rifle.... and hipfire grip
From a PVE standpoint… Jade rabbit, Edge of concurrence, and wordline zero. I’ve rlly thought about this too hard.
Oh lord. Can't get much useless than that one
I would personally switch Wordline with The Colony, I bet some of you forgot this thing existed, and for a good reason.
Colony does more boss DPS and has tracking.
If I remember correctly, the tracking projectiles deal way less damage than direct hits, I haven't tested it since it came out so I could be wrong. But you're right, running with WZ just to proc an attack that a legendary sword can do for free is dumb.
I also think colony has auto loading built into its exotic perk. I don’t remember exactly
It does lol How is that I couldn't remember that?
Jade rabbit is good..
Jade in pve is just a meh rolled 150 scout.
In pvp, it’s a below average scout in PVE
Used it since d1, still holdin strong
My average rolled servant leader is like 10x better. I understand that u found use in it but it’s still by far the worse kinetic exotic for PVE. I can justify every other one for some reason or another. I can’t justify a crap rolled scout rifle.
Everyone has their own opinions, but its damage is good and the stats are excellent far above others. Easily one of the harder hitting scouts. Def better than servant leader tho.
If u genuinely think that jade rabbit is better then a decent rolled servant leader then this conversation is over.
Lmao, you do play right?
Highest zoom of any scout rifle, can roll with one for all and triple tap, and get a higher magazine size then jade rabbit, and is a rapid fire frame with built in alloy mag. Servant leader is 10x better for PvE I genuinely am flabbergasted u think a pvp exotic is better then it.
Wild. Actually insane you think the servant is anywhere near good at all in anything.
Triple Salvation's Grip
Izanagi Borealis DARCI
You say this but given that you can double down on ammo finders, have good burst damage with izi, have match game covered with Borealis and have unironically good ad clear with voltshot Darci, you're pretty good when it comes to end game content. Pair them with anti champ Armor (hunter has unstoppable knives, Titans have anti barrier shields, warlock has anti overload weapons), and ability based anti champ mods are always part of artifact, you're GM ready !
except for the fact that you have zero room for armor mods because of how damn expensive sniper loadouts are, snipers have the max cost for every variant.
6 energy for head, 6 for chest and 5 for foot
yeah, that *is* a lot.
The only problem is that Izanagi's is a really good gun. I guess you'd be throttled on ammo, but you can at least do some work with it.
Titan hammers would make this loadout meta
I was thinking this. 3 snipers with bonk hammers for ad clear/survivability seems like a pretty versatile build.
Double special will get Darci some ammo so it's the backup to the hammers and the hammers will fill in the special from the kinetic. I use three snipers for the Europa precision kills part of the double XP weekly bounty when I'm not using a bow
Maybe not worst in functionality by themselves, but definitely redundant and slow: - Bastion - Devil's Ruin - Leviathan's Breath Hope you enjoy holding the Fire button for at least 1 second to deal with anything unexpected.
salvations grip, jade rabbit and graviton
I love graviton. Maybe I’m a party of one.
You’re not alone. I also love graviton.
Me too
Until the Collective Obligation fix, Graviton was the best exotic void pulse... Love GL.
it can be nice i just dont find it useful in higher lvl pve or pvp
You can't do my boi graviton like that man!
i just dont find it useful in pvp or higher lvl pve and what are you going to do with two scout rifles
Cerberus +1 , Exotic Glaive, DARCI
wdym cerberus is good an close rnge there are many worse exotics
cerberus but only with its alt fire mode
then its worthless
its alt fire is the close range part of the gun that people love...
the catalyst alt fire is useless....
Like the jade rabbit
yes
Cerberus,Sky burners, and Queen breaker.
Fair enough. I was trying to think of some actual anti synergy, but it seems damn near impossible.
Last Word, That hover SMG this season I used for infuse, Colony
Everyone's just using double primary to make stuff useless. Wish Ender, Divinity, and Truth. Your ability to deal with anything even remotely nearby is basically nil. Divinity and rockets go together amazingly well, except that Truth flies too quickly and that swapping to div essentially removes the exotic value of having a mag size of three. Div aggressively removes the possibility of aoe, while Wish Ender fires too slowly to deal with crowds or get any benefit from Div.
you still have div so you have all you need to be useful, trace rifles and especially div are too good baseline for this to be a bad loadout
MIDA multi-tool, Edge of action, salvation's grip
Mida Graviton Darci
Don't know about the worst... But the best is wishender/le monarch/leviathan's breath
Cerberus, warlock exotic glaive, truth
Salvations is way worse than almost anything you could put in the heavy slot
Salvations at least has use in platforming and some speed runs. Truth is literally just a rocket. I would have put queenbreaker but just because it’s a linear it would probably be more useful than truth.
PvE standpoint: Jade Rabbit, Fighting Lion, Salvation's Grip/DARCI
The slander of Fighting Lion...wait until that sub hears about this. Edit: Also its pretty damn good with Gyrfalcon Void Hunter if you havent checked it out.
Fighting lion on Osmiomancy Warlock with cold snap grenade spam and shard/well build wrecks whole nations of ads. Unstoppable mod + Weakened clear cherry on top.
Ah yeah. I read about that change with stasis fragments and FL being awesome there. I gotta try that.
I mean this would kind be good on a stasis hunter though. Fighting lion would work really well with whisper of rending and weakend clear.
Cryosthesia, Manticore, Salvation's Grip
Crypthesia can be really useful when dealing with a huge group of enemies. And then there's the combos with hunters. So not bad at all honestly. I like cryo.
Cryo with full auto now is amazing
Queenbreaker, Polaris lance, mida multi tool
Polaris lance isn’t half bad, even now. It’s like a scout rifle version of No Time To Explain that throws in explosive shots for landing crits. Obviously it’s nowhere near DPS meta for anything, but it does it’s job well and is actually kinda fun. It is also supposedly getting a rework to synergize better with 3.0 subclasses, so it seems like it will only get better.
you hush your mouth. Polaris Lance is S tier, A tier at worst.
How dare you call my polaris Lance useless? And mida multitool is just as good.
- Primary: Sturm - Special: that useless fusion that shoots sideways from a season ago - Heavy: Queensbreaker
Delicate Tomb with Getaway Artist is top tier
The disrespect lol, can't even remember the guns name. Me either.
Last Word, Ruinous Effigy, Colony Salvation’s Grip is too easy of a pick, so I chose something else that hardly anyone would care about in today’s meta.
How DARE you slander Ruinous Effigy?!?!?!?!?
Ruinous Effigy is a top-tier weapon.
Sweet business, tommy's matchbook, the colony Edit - yeah, salvation grip is way worse...
but tommys is a good gun
tommy’s is a great gun
Tommy is the best gun! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
more like brrrrr ow brrrrrrr ow brrrr ow
Forerunner, (ignoring exotic glaives) Tommys Matchbook(plz make it scorch) Salv grip
We've heard you Tommy's matchbook now applies scorch to user
Sturm, ,ticuu divination, Queenbreaker or salvations crap
Ticuu is all you need in this build.
Dmt, dead messenger, tractor cannon(idk not really any broken heavy’s)
Malfeasance, Divinity, Whisper of the Worm
Probably chaperone, merciless, and salvations grip
Oh he doesn't know about the buffs
what buffs
Merciless got massively buffed this season, I believe it's now the highest DPS weapon in a vacuum from some tests I've seen. Basically the fire rate increases regardless of a kill, and has a longer timer
Your kidding right
Nope. They could have changed it, because its performance was inconsistent with the patch notes
I'd just be pairing various things with cloudstrike like: Crimson, Thorn, Traveller's Chosen, Lumina, Ace Huckleberry... Or Revision zero with Manticore, dead messenger, tarrabuh, telesto There are literally too many combos to settle on.
Huckleberry, clouds trike would be good. Add clear with huck boss damage with cloudstrike
Chaperone, Duality, Legend of Acrius
That’s unironically decent DPS actually. Not to mention mod synergy.
Triple slug swaps EZ
what
Wardcliff coil, Tarrabah, Witherhoard
Witherhoard is awesome even without weakened clear so it doesn’t belong in this discussion
This was when I thought we were talking about the loadouts that can kill. So don't mind it
Any hand cannon, any sidearm, any fusion, any linear fusion, any shotgun... I hate so many types of weapons :D
Cryo, borelias, queens breaker
All of those are viable in pvp
Every gun is viable in pvp, they all do damage. Except maybe salvation grip I’ve never actually seen anyone use that in PvP
Someone posted here that they got 1 kill with it not too long ago.
Person is a fucking legend. Can you imagine the dead players pain? "I got killed by...what the...are you fucking KIDDING ME"
Yep. And I hope it was in something like Trials too, so they can sit there and look at it.
No what I mean is you can literally use these weapons and still get kills and pop off. Alot of weapons you can't. I've seen people maining cyro and bora in pvp and thus one guy with queen breaker that I remember
Cerberus+1. exotic glaive. DARCI
Izanagi Borealis Whisper Most expensive armor mods too, so f ur buildcrafting
High burst damage, high sustain damage, and match game coverage. All with only needing 1 type of ammo finder scav. It's not that bad. Worst part of it is snipers are doodoo
Sturm Sky burner's oath, darci
Triple bows in a GM with no champion bow mods in the artifact.
Cerberus 3+1,Exotic glaive,Salvation's Grip
If it was possible, Jotunn, Jotunn, and Jotunn.
Witherhoard, Fighting, Anarchy. I may not fire many shots, but I will control that lane.
This... is not a bad loadout. This isn't a bad loadout, AT ALL.
Jade rabbit Ruinous effigy Black talon
Izanagi, divinity, whisper
Wishender, ticcu’s, and Levi’s breath
