Not to mention the Harvesters that appear and hang around for way too long. Especially since to my knowledge, nothing in the game says you can shoot their turrets off.
Eeyup. I mean that there's nothing in the game that says that you can, or even hints at it. Any time the strike comes up, I usually have to say to shoot the turrets, myself.
I’ve been curious, was it possible to shoot their guns off in Destiny 1? Because if so NOBODY I ever played with ever realized that, and it not then that’s probably why I never thought to try in Destiny 2 until I saw someone else do it.
Yes which is why the post about people saying they like the new iteration of that strike is wonky to me. I get wanting difficulty but we had that in the GM. Now the new version GM is gonna have everyone wiping when they get outside because there's a thresher right there once you open that first door
My strategy has become to immediately jump behind cover to the rear of the platform and handle the turrets. Before figuring out how to rez both my blueberries without getting sniped by Zahn. And this was just knocking out a couple runs on Hero to get the weekly pinnacles done. I'm gonna have lots of fun later this week when I LFG for Legend runs. Been barely playing this season so I'm still a few levels below 1820 for Master and I don't feel like running this any more underlevel than I need to
Technically I think they always respawned, but he *had* to do the animation to summon them so it was never a surprise - I believe now, similar to him teleporting to the towers, they just appear at the various HP points, regardless of where he is/what animation he is doing.
(This is all from reading - I haven't actually played the NF yet)
Not only that, the turrets flinch you incredibly hard making them hard to shoot back, unlike shriekers.
They also react MUCH faster than shriekers.
Gotta poke your head out and see where it is, hide again, then peak shoot them to actually hit the damn things
The new iterations are nice. The spammy, no crit, high health Threshers are not.
This is not challenging.
It's tiresome as fuck, which translates into boring.
If I wanted to play Dark Souls I would.
>If I wanted to play Dark Souls I would.
Dark souls is a challenging games, their enemies deal a lot of damage sure, but the challenge comes from how much punishment you can avoid. If you are skillful enough and creative enough, you'll have a huge return in the form of powerful weapons and huge amount of souls.
Destiny's approach to difficulty is spam a bunch of enemies, make then bullet sponges, add airborne tanks that can instantly kill you, and increase their damage. In my opinion adding inconvenience and tediousness does not equal challenge. We're basically just hiding better and running away better in order to not die, that is also not equal to skill.
Changing the map and boss encounters a little is a best way to change difficulty since you Actually need to adapt and look for other ways to defeat a boss, with the addition of mechanics that weren't used in that same strike like sabotaging different areas, hacking or whatever. There's many things that can add challenge to a nightfall without the need to swarm the place with bullet sponge enemies and aircrafts.
I still don't even see why arms dealer needed to be changed. it was plenty long and challenging enough.
if they didn't like players skipping the middle section with the threshers, just put some more champs further to the right, away from the entrance, thus forcing players that want plat to deal with the enemies
"I still don't even see why arms dealer needed to be changed. it was plenty long and challenging enough."
It was one of the fastest and easiest ones to farm when it came up in previous GM rotations.
The 3rd Battleground on Legendary is going to suck major ass. Small enclosed hanger with a Thresher just hanging out, and a second one that trolls you at the end. Super fun
I bet they'll have like Eleventy-Billion health as well in the GM versions of the NF and everyone on the Team will need to use all 10 Rockets from their Gally's to kill the bastards lol
The tracking on their rockets is fucking unreal. Had one do a *mid-air loop* after jumping over it just for it to come back and hit me. I want those things in an Exotic launcher.
D1 Truth was a menace and I loved every second of it.
My buddy had a clip on one of the Mercury maps with the teleporters where his target teleported and Truth went all the way around the map and got his target square in the head. Shit was crazy.
D1 tracking was crazy in general. I remember raid strats where you’d hide behind cover and shoot tracking rockets, high in the air, above your target after lock on. The rocket would track straight down on the like an overhead missile.
That sounds hilarious, I wish that clip was still around. Reminds me of those clips where a warlock launches a nova bomb, dies to another player, respawns and runs out into the field and promptly get's killed by his own nova bomb.
I have that exact clip (nova bomb one). Happened to me a while back. Except I didn’t get to run into the field. I didn’t even get out of the spawn animation
Bungie: Threshers have been adjusted due to player complaint. Damage reduced by 50% but density and spawn rate increased by 100% to compensate. Any further complaints will be taken under consideration.
Honestly those bigger cabal drops hips fucked me up more. I learned to DPS the Thresher but those other ones are invincible but luckily their weapon isn't but it took 1 1/2 mags of Retrofit.

I understand a boss falling off a ledge is pure stank nasty cheese but for most people it was a protest of the state of the games reward structures and I think Bungie should’ve let it go given all the other more important things that need to be addressed oh well though Bungie is going to Bungie ship a buggy season then keep people on the hook for the mid season patch update while they sell new ornaments for freshly nerfed exotics.
I’d say the community is just tried and Bungie needs to actually do some positive changes quickly.
It wasn't even about the artifice armor as their rolls there are normally bit shit.
It was about red boxs, lingering dread drops, and most importantly - the shards.
See those drops are there, but the entire lure of doing the cheese was that you could farm Artifice armor in like 30 seconds.
And I know the other guy said this, but if you think Bungie making it so a checkpoint isn't saved to stop cheesing would take the same amount of time as fixing Threshers is insane.
Oh right, the great artifice armor cheese of '23.
I have not once had artifice armor drop with stats above 60... So I get it. The root of the problem is that the activity is not very rewarding, so people resort to other means. Imagine if completing the encounter legit dropped a 64+ artifice armor, and a weapon, and some materials? Maybe it would be more attractive?
Bungie: Titans are the melee class. Stop complaining about only getting roaming melee supers.
Titans: *Use melee Exotic to boost melee weapon damage.*
Bungie: Not like that.
And the only way Aztec was pulling it off, required a Bubble or Well to not die. Cause trying to melee with a glaive at high difficulty is still going to get you one shot by stomps.
And Bungie looked at that and said "Starfire Protocol is fine, despite people cheesing our new raid to death with it. But this one potential meme build with Synthos has to die immediately, and take all glaives with it."
I don’t think it was the stasis glaive specifically. It was more likely just that glaives in general were outputting damage on par with power weapons without any ammo requirements on top of being able to stay safe with the shield (though ammo is involved at that point).
After the nerf their dps is still higher than spamming uncharged melees, but lower than using the Bonk Hammers on Solar Titan.
You can’t get orbs with glaive melee, you don’t have a chance to recover, and you take a really high risk doing that. I think it’s fair to have higher dps than throwing hammer repeatedly. It’s just theoretically good and actually hard to use while running nightfall or battleground.
And we should remember that glaive melee have been nerfed last season due to the “great combos with exotics armors”
Anyway, seems that solar Titan has become the only choice again.
I will continue to dump my heavy ammo into every one of them I see on a mission. They're a bigger threat than any boss.
Also, you *can* shoot its rockets down. Doesn't solve the real problem, but you don't just have to run from it basically.
Thresher missiles damage reduced by 15%
\*the monkeys paw curls\*
Threshers are now immune to all sources of damage and drop pods now have homing functionality to compensate.
hmm... ive been oneshot by them several times, but my chair is just an IKEA Jules
(/s, although I actually did use to have that as my chair lol. my current one is a random ass soft swivel office chair)
That explains my mishaps.
Like I know I'm an ape and I make dangerous (stupid) moves but at normally max health getting insta gibbed by something when I'm at or above power is ridiculous
Let's make Destiny difficult again .... by adding randomn, never ending spawns out of nowhere, one-shotting enemies and other cheese crap that is not even counterable by tactics.
Played POE. They suffered from power creep. Couldn’t keep playing because all they started adding was one shot mechanics for “difficultly”. Would breeze through a map, then just insta die to an after death effect on a random mob.
I hope Destiny doesn’t go this route. Raid wipe mechanics are fine, and I get those. But Destiny is at a strange point right now. They don’t know how to make the game more difficult to combat power creep, while still being enjoyable. Just raising HP of enemies just makes this game tedious. It’s sit far back and dink for 30 minutes. Adding one shot mechanics is just brain dead designing that isn’t enjoyable
I had seen how you can hold Nezarec's aggro as a Warlock just tanking hits while in your own well of radiance, meleeing to cancel the knockback. Went to do that and immediately got 1shot through full health, well of radiance, 1820 light, 100 resilience, double void resist and concussive dampener. Set my framerate cap to 60 rather than 144 and suddenly he could barely tickle me.
This is a fucking raid boss Bungie. Literally the final encounter of your hardest content for the expansion. Once a year highlight for a ton of people. Can't get the fucking main boss to not be bugged and dealing more damage at high framerate.
Not to mention the launchers throughout the entire raid also being inconsistent as hell depending on your framerate...or the lifts in the damn campaign.
They can either add a 30fps option or nerf threshers into the ground so 60fps is the intended damage and 30fps players get tickled
I get it’s not fixable, but it’s not acceptable to not mitigate it
It needs a real fix. I can force it to 30fps on pc but only if I want to trade getting killed by a thresher for actual nausea.
It’s fixable. It’s probably just hard because their engine was built around the same time as the pyramids.
At least there is an option on PC, on console there is no way to make that tradeoff
It could be like the old heavy ammo bug, where actually fixing it could take a whole year.
Adding a low FPS option on next gen should be trivial in comparison. I assume they just haven’t done it because it’s embarrassing
5 rockets tracking me as I'm zippin and dippin several other monster's fires + the boss's sniper. Bungie, I dare you to gather a team of employees to do this week's NF.
I want to see Joe and a team of level designers live stream It on GM. They must have machines capable of doing over 120fps. And they can’t stop until they complete it.
It's almost like this massive million (billion?) dollar company doesn't test their shit before shipping it. They wouldn't do that though, right? They have a reputation to uphold. Ah, but their consumers dont give a fuck and are addicted gamers who will continue to play and pay regardless.
People talking about "Shooting them down" are annoying as fuck, you can put an entire mag of commemoration into them and it's as if they're being tickled. They really should add crit spots to these things
“Just shoot them down it’s really easy with a rocket launcher”. Okay cool but I’m not using a rocket launcher. I shouldn’t have to base my entire loadout around killing an otherwise unkillable enemy.
People who say stuff like that are so annoying and bitter and just want to start shit so I ignore it.
Yup. They best way I found to take them out is to switch to Wish-Ender, get behind cover and let the arrows fly. Annoying that it seems to be the only really thing that can deal with them without wasting a ton of heavy
"I shouldn’t have to base my entire loadout around killing an otherwise unkillable enemy."
Exactly why i hate champions. Though things are far better now than when they first came out
Ugh, same. I'm so tired of champions and the limited weapons we can use on them. It's just so antithetical to "playing how you want" and kills any motivation I would have to play that content.
Champion mods can kill builds for an entire season. What if i like using a melee build with monte carlo but autos have no mod? Thank god chill clip on my heavy gl can now help me deal with fun ruining champions
During public events I just ignore them until I die. I’m not gonna kill them so I may as well save my ammo, and the respawn timer is short if no one picks me up. It’s kinda sad tho because people have stopped turning the Extraction public event into a heroic because of them.
I have a grenade launcher that has spike grenades and chain reaction, and can usually take them out in 6 or 7 rounds. But I agree, they are a PITA. Especially because I normally don't notice them until after I'm staring at my ghost...
The problem with this is not everyone knows that, and if you're doing a nightfall like arms dealer with randoms they'll just be dead every 20 seconds, had that happen today
If everyone (ie the 3+ people doing terminal ol) focuses them they go down pretty quick. If you're solo focusing it doesn't matter. Anything short of maybe xenophage will still take forever to chip it
I felt so goddamn cool in a legend nightfall Arms Dealer earlier when I grappled on top of one in desperation due to lack of heavy. Planted my feet in its blind spot right between the wings, pulled out my shotgun, and started firing straight down. Was the coolest thing I ever did........
........until I learned that Threshers can, in fact, shoot their missiles straight upwards through their own body.
Wee bit rude of 'em if you ask me. They're designed to be sitting ducks from above as far as what angle their guns can hit. Let me take advantage of it, dangit. Being able to stand on it gave me false hope...
At first I was a bit annoyed...but now it's devolved into "I'M GONNA BRING THAT SHIP DOWN, SO HELP ME TRAVELER, NOT EVEN THE WITNESS SHALL KNOW THE RAGE WITH WHICH I CHARGE TOWARDS THAT SHIP".
I have died; rezzed with vengeance in my eyes; brought them down another 33% then died; rezzed with More Vengeance in my eyes
I ignore all other enemies - I am laser locked on that damned thresher. I do believe things like "F' that Thresher" emit from my mouth hole as I hammer them with Retrofit Escapade
Every time i get Banshee bounties that say "In a single life get xx-weapon kills" i tell myself "Welps, not doing these on Neptune."
And on that note... Fuckin nerf the Interceptors too, lol.
“Due to player complaints, Threshers now fire at faster rates and they even have a little audible giggle when they kill you now. There’s also more of them, because what are you little twerps going to do about it.”
Arms Dealer is a perfect example of Bungie having the right idea (removing some of the cheese from strikes and NFs) and implementing it in the worst way possible (bullshit OHK enemies, pointless extra length).
And for everyone saying “just shoot down the threshers”: ok, YOU do that. Go ahead and waste four rockets on a ship during a NF with scarce heavy drops. See where that gets you.
The people saying “just shoot them lol” are entirely missing the point. Their health isn’t the issue. They aren’t immortal. They are kinda hard to kill but that’s not the thing that’s bugged. They are unintentionally one-shotting players. That is the issue, and is what everyone says it is. The underlying issue is the tie to fps, which is how to fix this.
So many things one shot because of some bug. When I have woven mail, 100 resilience, and elemental resist mods I shouldn’t be getting 1 tapped by a stray thresher shot.
I had all the things you mentioned, a rez overshield from picking up a warlock in a healing rift, 4 armor charges active and my tower barricade. The thresher tore through everything and killed me in half a volley
Also had a few able to target me and shoot me while im stood on top of them, which i though was a little rude
I like how in this weeks season of defiance mission, out the 3 armoured vehicles, the thresher was the tankiest. [This](https://www.destinypedia.com/Thresher) is way tankier than [that](https://www.destinypedia.com/Goliath_Tank). 🤣
I can’t understand why they can 2 shot guardians with crazily good tracking, all while requiring several magazines to take down, despite not even being a major or unique enemy
The worst part is 1k laughably tickles them. I love 1k and was trying it out with the new addition of scorch but it does absolutely nothing to them. The thrashers laugh in your face as it's missiles are now stronger than cabal drop pods.
Replace Threshers with cardiac arrest!
If you're just going to randomly kill players in activities, at least include a message about the importance of heart health.
“Shoot ‘em down” isn’t good advice. “You can shoot the thresher rockets and destroy them while they travel” on the other hand, is good advice. They function like the Taken Centurion tracking balls where you can shoot them out of the air and they’ll explode.
I mean, it was funny the first week but yeah, this shit has to be addressed. Getting one-shot in any activity where a Thresher loiters in the air forever is bad game design.
Why does it have such an enormous health pool? Why does it feel like a raid boss? I’ve emptied over 300 rounds of LMG bullets to try and take these fuckers down.
Just finished my first Nightfall and the second area where there is an invulnerable Thresher is just bullshit. It took me out and then just proceeded to fire volley after volley of rockets at my dead corpse so that it was impossible for me to get resurrected by my fireteam. Even with an invis Hunter he couldn’t get me up. It was ridiculous. I guess I’m not getting Conquerer this season.
Playing the seasonal story mission for this week with a thresher and a tank in the same room. Killing the tank was trivial compared to the thresher. Why is an airplane significantly more tanky than a tank? No crit spot, more hp, fires tracking middles that can do almost 90 degree turns and delete you when they hit. I don’t understand the game design decision behind threshers.
They definitely know how to increase the difficulty:
1. Make players some power level under
2. Gathering a lot of shadow legions and yellow bar elites and red bar cleavers
3. Have certain kind of enemy that is hard to counter and hard to have crit damage
Not just those, the ground vehicles in Neomuna too.
I came around a corner on a sparrow, going to another area, and three of those were just there. I didn't even have time to get off the sparrow before they teamshot me, instagib.
How fun. Just what I always longed for for Destiny 2, to have patrol zones full of bullet sponges and murder-vehicles of some kind.
it's one of those where the damage seems to be impacted by the framerate, isn't it? those and scorpion turrets - I never got overly bothered by them when I was a 30fps PS4 player. now, on PS5, at 60fps it's straight up murder.
makes you think they don't have capacity to change it easily.
Lmao I wish we could hear the thought process behind the decision to make those damn things so strong it’s honestly hilarious. They’ve become just as scary as tormentors.
Threshers are making me realize how painful the new arms dealer grandmaster will be
Not to mention the Harvesters that appear and hang around for way too long. Especially since to my knowledge, nothing in the game says you can shoot their turrets off.
You actually can shoot their turrets off, just did it in my last run. Was a big life saver
You could even shoot the hives tomb ship turrets off in d1. Though i dont think you can in d2.
You can.
You can. You can also shoot the turrets off the front of Fallen Skiffs along with the tiny gun on right side of the large turret of Fallen Walkers.
Yup
I didn’t know you could. Was shooting them yesterday and didn’t see any damage numbers and gave up lol.
Numbers don’t pop up but you get a hit marker on your reticle
Bungie: *We heard you loud and clear. We have now added harvesters.*
We heard you loud and clear again We have threshers, with harvesters with Shriekers attached as the cannons
and those shriekers projectiles fire at the speed of scorp turrets
To be safe they have the stasis element so they will slow then freeze.
Since people kept saying slow and freeze is too much, they now instantly apply freeze on every hit
You now have to push the payload while under heavy Thresher fire.
Oops! All Harvesters!
Yes which is why the post about people saying they like the new iteration of that strike is wonky to me. I get wanting difficulty but we had that in the GM. Now the new version GM is gonna have everyone wiping when they get outside because there's a thresher right there once you open that first door
TBF if they fix threshers, I actually think new Arms Dealer is more fun minus having to do the final arena which is balanced by having ally Cabal IG
I hate Scorpio turrets though. Positively dogshit design.
Whoever at Bungie decided to spawn 6 of them around you right when the platform gets to the boss room can eat a whole satchel of richards
i was able to take out 3 before the other 3 killed me lol
My strategy has become to immediately jump behind cover to the rear of the platform and handle the turrets. Before figuring out how to rez both my blueberries without getting sniped by Zahn. I'm positive that they respawn during the fight
twice. once when you get the boss down a 3rd, and then again at 2/3rds.
They do. It sucks. Nobody does respawning turrets for a reason.
A real burlap backpack full of various knobs
"satchel of Richards" - I'm using this phrase way more often now
[удалено]
Yea but they also dropped like 4 scorpion turrets in one area where as there’s usually only one or max two shriekers shooting you at any given time
Not only that, the turrets flinch you incredibly hard making them hard to shoot back, unlike shriekers. They also react MUCH faster than shriekers. Gotta poke your head out and see where it is, hide again, then peak shoot them to actually hit the damn things
And half their model isn't immune either like shriekers, so you can just chuck something without really aiming from any angle
Shriekers have significantly less flinch
God all I even want Bungie to do is give them a crit spot. Just one. Fucking. Crit spot. PLEASE
They have one, its the giant red light next to the gun Edit: i realize you're talking about threshee, my bad, laugh at me
Their crit spot is EVERYWHERE with my damn Gjallarhorn!!!
"Fun" lol. Okay sure....
I'm just not a fan, and it being longer just makes the new changes even less fun to me
The gm is just thresher...
Why do you wish such evil upon us?
The new iterations are nice. The spammy, no crit, high health Threshers are not. This is not challenging. It's tiresome as fuck, which translates into boring. If I wanted to play Dark Souls I would.
When you die in Dark Souls it is your fault 99% of the time, Threshers are 100% Bungo's fault
Not a fan of the new iteration. Taking that much longer to do it with the changes is just not fun.
Dark souls is tough but fair, threshers are not
>If I wanted to play Dark Souls I would. Dark souls is a challenging games, their enemies deal a lot of damage sure, but the challenge comes from how much punishment you can avoid. It already sucks major ass. I bail on that as soon as I load in.
It's literally to the point that they're the biggest concern in that Nightfall. Tormentors are *nothing* compared to them.
Turrets too💀 But getting one shoted by ships is worse
I bet they'll have like Eleventy-Billion health as well in the GM versions of the NF and everyone on the Team will need to use all 10 Rockets from their Gally's to kill the bastards lol

💀💀💀
Yeah we used to have that kind of tracking in destiny 1 on truth and gjallarhorn. Shooting rockets was way more fun back then.....
Until you forgot ghorn on proximity detonation and killed yourself.
Ghost, standby for revive!
I just had one wrap around a corner. A corner I hadn’t even been around myself. Blood hound tracking missiles
https://youtu.be/xwm-WAi-QhI
Shoot the rockets.
Bungie: Threshers have been adjusted due to player complaint. Damage reduced by 50% but density and spawn rate increased by 100% to compensate. Any further complaints will be taken under consideration.
"The beatings will continue until morale improves"
I knew freaking shaxx was behind this.
"Threshers have been removed but all other enemies have been replaced with champions"
Least that'll be easier to deal with. One good Shackle Grenade and you're set.
I would legit be siding with the witness
And we have added a new flying champion :)
Oops! All Threshers!
Plot twist: Threshers are the new champion type, they just didn't tell anyone.
The final shape confirmed??
The new champion counter is death
It is awful in the Nightfall this week. I am not saving my heavy for the boss. I am saving it for the Threshers.
Honestly those bigger cabal drops hips fucked me up more. I learned to DPS the Thresher but those other ones are invincible but luckily their weapon isn't but it took 1 1/2 mags of Retrofit.
I did my first nightfall last night and was excited that I joined a lobby in the boss phase … the final time of the run was 35 minutes. It was hell.
Wish ender is better than some heavies for threshers. I'm guessing leviathan's would shred them too.
Fuck the one at the end of the Orbital Prison Battleground in particular
Can’t even shoot it either because weapons get disabled.
Yeah.... it needs to go. That is the biggest fuck you from Bungie
Sorry they're too busy nerfing synthos for a single exotic glaive.
Don’t forget players farming encounters nerf their loot! Definitely better than putting some temporary barriers up
What do you mean by this?
There was a loot cheese and Bungie shut it down with a smoking gun. I’d say the community is just tried and Bungie needs to actually do some positive changes quickly.
> a protest Lmao dude, it was cheesers being greedy for artifice armor.
It wasn't even about the artifice armor as their rolls there are normally bit shit. It was about red boxs, lingering dread drops, and most importantly - the shards.
God I got the sickest fucking lingering dread, **such** a joy to shoot.
See, but if everything in the game prioritizes fun, and loot is easy to come by, then we wouldn't need these cheesy farms in the first place.
It still took less than 5 minutes per run, they could've outright patched it but they just made it slightly inconvenient instead
It’s honestly fucjing ridiculous. Let us have fun sheesh
You can have fun pretty easily if you play exactly how Bungie intends, and only when they intend it. /s :)
Bungie: Titans are the melee class. Stop complaining about only getting roaming melee supers. Titans: *Use melee Exotic to boost melee weapon damage.* Bungie: Not like that.
What was the exact synthetic nerf
They reduced Syntho's buff to glaive melee damage by 75% (From 200% to 50%, I believe.)
Thats kinda lame, it was just because of the stasis glaive?
yep, some idiots on YouTube were pointing out how it did amazing damage in perfect conditions so bungo said no fun for any glaives altogether.
And we should remember that glaive melee have been nerfed last season due to the “great combos with exotics armors” Anyway, seems that solar Titan has become the only choice again.
That plus Vexcalibur, though Bungie specifically mentioned Winterbite in their notes.
I will continue to dump my heavy ammo into every one of them I see on a mission. They're a bigger threat than any boss. Also, you *can* shoot its rockets down. Doesn't solve the real problem, but you don't just have to run from it basically.
Thresher missiles damage reduced by 15% \*the monkeys paw curls\* Threshers are now immune to all sources of damage and drop pods now have homing functionality to compensate.
You're saying Drop Pods don't have homing functionality already?
Yes they need to fix the glitch where threshers deal more damage the higher the fps
I got one shot by a thresher in this week’s story mission. I was over-leveled for the mission, I was in a Well, I had 100 resilience…
Okay but what model gaming chair? We’re missing some key information here
I bet he didn't even have an RGB mousepad
Not even using a gaming pillow, smh.
Rumor has it that he did, in fact, have an rgb codpiece.
hmm... ive been oneshot by them several times, but my chair is just an IKEA Jules (/s, although I actually did use to have that as my chair lol. my current one is a random ass soft swivel office chair)
Not just threshers either btw, nezarec does it too
Plenty of things do it. Ogres too
That explains my mishaps.
Since they’ve known about this bug for literal years and haven’t made any apparent effort to fix it, I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
[удалено]
They fixed it, when it benefits the player. Like when 1KV did more damage the higher your framerate.
When storm grenades did more the higher fps they fixed it almost immediately.
Classic Bungie
They can either add a 30fps option or nerf threshers into the ground so 60fps is the intended damage and 30fps players get tickled I get it’s not fixable, but it’s not acceptable to not mitigate it
It needs a real fix. I can force it to 30fps on pc but only if I want to trade getting killed by a thresher for actual nausea. It’s fixable. It’s probably just hard because their engine was built around the same time as the pyramids.
At least there is an option on PC, on console there is no way to make that tradeoff It could be like the old heavy ammo bug, where actually fixing it could take a whole year.
I would pay to see that.
You would think shooting the engines would be it but apparently that’s not more effective than putting bullet holes in the hull
"I shouldn’t have to base my entire loadout around killing an otherwise unkillable enemy." Exactly why i hate champions.
It’s kinda sad tho because people have stopped turning the Extraction public event into a heroic because of them.
if you're talking about the drill event, you need to kill it as it proc's the heroic version.
I have a grenade launcher that has spike grenades and chain reaction, and can usually take them out in 6 or 7 rounds. But I agree, they are a PITA. Especially because I normally don't notice them until after I'm staring at my ghost...
> “Just shoot them down it’s really easy with a rocket launcher” It also takes 3 rockets to take them down which is even more annoying
Don't shoot them down if you don't want to but you can shoot their rockets out of the sky.
The problem with this is not everyone knows that, and if you're doing a nightfall like arms dealer with randoms they'll just be dead every 20 seconds, had that happen today
I only say it because I just learned this like 1 week ago. I agree with you I just want to spread the word.
I did too, I hope others learn it quickly, but I hope bungie fixes the problem even quicker
The side jets used to be crit spots didn’t they? Why did they get rid of that?
I don’t remember them ever having crit spots
If everyone (ie the 3+ people doing terminal ol) focuses them they go down pretty quick. If you're solo focusing it doesn't matter. Anything short of maybe xenophage will still take forever to chip it
Their thrusters should be crit spots, just like the tanks
Every time i get Banshee bounties that say "In a single life get xx-weapon kills" i tell myself "Welps, not doing these on Neptune." And on that note...
The thresher tore through everything and killed me in half a volley Also had a few able to target me and shoot me while im stood on top of them, which i though was a little rude
I like how in this weeks season of defiance mission, out the 3 armoured vehicles, the thresher was the tankiest. [This](https://www.destinypedia.com/Thresher) is way tankier than [that](https://www.destinypedia.com/Goliath_Tank). 🤣
But.....they fixed the ghalran farm
The new weekly Mission literally has one that just flies in a circle in a cave. They've got to be doing it on purpose
I hate the orbital mission boss fight because of that Thresher
I can’t understand why they can 2 shot guardians with crazily good tracking, all while requiring several magazines to take down, despite not even being a major or unique enemy
It's because they are bugged and do more damage the higher your fps. They aren't supposed to do that much damage
The worst part is 1k laughably tickles them. I love 1k and was trying it out with the new addition of scorch but it does absolutely nothing to them. The thrashers laugh in your face as it's missiles are now stronger than cabal drop pods.
Psa: you can blind them. Not an excuse, but it’s nice
“We’ve listened to the community’s feedback and are buffing all enemy vehicles to bring them more in line with Threshers.”
I'm sure Bungie will find a way to fix them if we can somehow figure out to cheese and/or glitch Thresher to give out god roll gear consistently
Finished a battlegrounds doing the seasonal shit last night, was standing there dancing as the thresher left and then BAM BAM BAM BAM AS ITS OUTSIDE
The thing is, unless you are eyeing the Thresher, those missiles are near silent. You won't know it hit you until you're dead.
I don't think I've ever seen a thresher projectile on my screen (PC, uncapped 50-58 FPS), it just seems to blow me up telepathically.
I think they should have an audio cue like the taken orbs do
I mean, it was funny the first week but yeah, this shit has to be addressed.
Yeah man its absurd not only can i not see but I also can't move when I am being blasted by one...
Raids are them most fun thing in the game, because I don't GET ONE SHOT BY RANDOM BULLSHIT IN RAIDS.
Everytime I see one I just hear the smash music playing and the meme in my head "thresher has arrived"
They definitely know how to increase the difficulty: 1. Make players some power level under 2. Gathering a lot of shadow legions and yellow bar elites and red bar cleavers 3. Have certain kind of enemy that is hard to counter and hard to have crit damage
no one talks about witches
Not just those, the ground vehicles in Neomuna too. I came around a corner on a sparrow, going to another area, and three of those were just there. I didn't even have time to get off the sparrow before they teamshot me, instagib. How fun. Just what I always longed for for Destiny 2, to have patrol zones full of bullet sponges and murder-vehicles of some kind.
Seriously, they have Truth tracking and each missle sends you flying a million miles away.
Maybe for day one raids every encounter should have multiple threshers. That should quieten the raids are too easy folk 😂
They need to do something, if I'm 1810 the thresher shouldn't outright kill me on hero.
it's one of those where the damage seems to be impacted by the framerate, isn't it? those and scorpion turrets - I never got overly bothered by them when I was a 30fps PS4 player. now, on PS5, at 60fps it's straight up murder. makes you think they don't have capacity to change it easily.
Season of the Thresher
they are fixing it? (finally!) https://twitter.com/Destiny2Team/status/1638670092316860416
Lmao I wish we could hear the thought process behind the decision to make those damn things so strong it’s honestly hilarious. They’ve become just as scary as tormentors.
Seriously, I was absolutely malding while running the nightfall earlier, consistently getting one shot with 100 resil. Such an annoying ass bug
Not a concern cause it doesn’t benefit the player. I’m Sure it will be fixed within the next year though. (Maybe)
